Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone wants to hold hands as we go through a cycle?

After a failed fresh cycle earlier this year, I’m starting my progynova today with a planned FET for May.

Would love some company x

Thank you! Feeling pretty nervous but glad it's happening

Si1ver · 08/05/2018 07:26

Good luck with the EC @rainylake fingers crossed for you.

How's everyone else getting on with the progesterone pessaries?

SouthernBella74 · 08/05/2018 07:56

@rainylake, it’s normal to be nervous, as you’re starting a new phase of this journey, but thankfully you’ll be fast asleep for the procedure. Those were good sleeps for me. 😂 Luckily, I had no discomfort afterwards, so I wish you the same. 🌟

AniSL · 08/05/2018 08:06

@rainylake good luck today

HappyHedgehog247 · 08/05/2018 08:47

Good luck @rainylake

I took a test this morning to confirm the trigger shot is out of my system. It is as test came up negative.

I've got used to the progesterone. Seems part of my normal daily routine now! Extra hungry and sleepy but that's ok!

hoping2018 · 08/05/2018 09:18

Hi all!

Sorry I'm not doing a great job of keeping up with all the messages!!

I hope everyone's 2wws are flying by?!?

Good luck for today @rainylake - it really is fine! You get a nice nap!!

@picklesandpetals you sound like you're at the same stage as me - I'm off for my last scan today and likely EC on Thursday or Friday! X

picklesandpetals · 08/05/2018 10:56

@rainylake lots of good luck wishes being sent your way today, hope it all goes well

@HappyHedgehog247 didn't realise there was a test to check trigger out of your system. Did your clinic give that to you? Hasn't been mentioned to me at all

@hoping2018 yep think we're in sync. Scan tomorrow morning and hopefully EC Friday morning 🤞

@SouthernBella74 I'm not going to be asleep for EC, it's just a local anaesthetic.

AFM my tummy is sooooo distended. Also my boobies are really sensitive and much bigger, it's like they've doubled in size over night! Feel like they're dragging on the ground 🤣

Have a nice day everyone xx

PonyPals · 08/05/2018 12:05

Great to catch up on how everyone is going.
Seems like a couple of us are in sync.
Had my second scan today:
Right ovary: 2x 15mm 1x 16mm 2x10mm
Left ovary: 2x 15mm 3x5
They said 5 are the leading follicles and the others are too small to catch up.
EC is next Monday, which does seem really far away!

Si1ver · 08/05/2018 12:27

Fertilisation results are in. Out of my six eggs five were mature and they've managed to fertilise all five of them. Next update on Thursday and transfer on Saturday.

HappyHedgehog247 · 08/05/2018 12:42

Fab news @Si1ver !!!!

@picklesandpetals sorry to confuse you - I mean a home pregnancy test. Reading online (a bad idea but I can't resist), the trigger shot can give you a false positive on a HPT for several days after. So the fact I've had a negative pregnancy test today, I hope means that any +ve test after this is a true positive.

rainylake · 08/05/2018 12:46

Great news @Si1ver, that’s wonderful they managed to fertilise them all! That’s a major obstacle over.

Thank you everyone for your good wishes. That was really nice to read while I was waiting to go in to the theatre.

Egg collection went really well - they managed to get 25 eggs, which is more than I was expecting! They don’t know yet how many of those are mature though, so I’ll wait to hear tomorrow for an update. We are having ICSI so hopefully that should help with the fertilisation rate. Everyone in the clinic was really nice.

The drugs worked fine and I don’t remember anything between them going in and the nurse then waking me in the recovery room. The pain is not bad at the moment and getting better already - as long as I’m propped up on the sofa I feel fine, and I think my stomach is starting to go down again. Sitting up isn’t great (I guess everything gets squashed) but standing is okay. My lovely mum has come to keep me company for the rest of the day and so we are just going to have a quiet afternoon enjoying the sunshine.

Si1ver · 08/05/2018 12:55

@rainylake 25 eggs! That's amazing, well done.

findingmyfeet12 · 08/05/2018 14:10

Wow rainy 25 is amazing!

Great news Si1ver !

I've got my 5 day transfer tomorrow and we've not heard anything from the hospital. We have no idea how many (if any) fertilised. I doubt I'll sleep a wink tonight.

I'm on a low dose of aspirin, vitamin e and a daily injection of anti-coagulation drugs to prevent miscarriage in the event that I get a bfp.

Si1ver · 08/05/2018 14:58

@findingmyfeet12 do they not give you an opportunity to call and find out? Our clinic has an embryo hotline that's available to call on day one and three for updates on progress.

hoping2018 · 08/05/2018 15:00

Hi all,

My scan went well - I've got 29 follicles of the right size - last time I had 32 but they were smaller and got 20 eggs from them. Interestingly this time they offered cabergoline for OHSS? But we've held off for now - anyone know anything about this? My trigger shot tonight and collection on Thursday first thing. DH has his SST on Thursday too but not til the middle of the day so we're going to be there hours!!

Great new @rainylake hope they're good quality and make lots of blasts for you!!

@Si1ver 5 fertilised sounds like a solid start! Fingers crossed

@findingmyfeet12 How come you haven't heard anything? I though everyone got a day 3 update?! I got daily updates last time as we used the timelapse/embryoscope - though I have to say I'm not sure if that helped my stress levels!!

hoping2018 · 08/05/2018 15:01

@HappyHedgehog247 I tested out my trigger shot last time and watched the positive test get less and less strong so I'd know if I got a bfp it was real- sadly it never came but I'm not sure I'd do the same this time as quite stressful - probably better to trust try and forget about things in the 2ww and be distracted!! But that's easier said than done!!!!

rainylake · 08/05/2018 15:08

@findingmyfeet12 that must have been a really stressful 5 days with no news! I thought most clinics phoned the day after egg collection to tell you how many fertilised and then again on day 3 to tell you how they were growing?

Feeling no worse now really than the last few days. Going to try to have a nap now though as I didn't sleep well the last few nights.

findingmyfeet12 · 08/05/2018 15:55

Our clinic (in France) is really bad at keeping in touch.

There's a number we can call but no one ever answers or gets back to us. We tend to just turn up for things and find out on the day.

I don't think I'm in the right mindset this time. Because of my miscarriages I'm feeling pretty underwhelmed about the whole thing. I might have made more of an effort to make enquiries if I was in a different mindset.

AniSL · 08/05/2018 16:58

@rainylake that's awesome

@hoping2018 My DH has his SSR on Saturday

SouthernBella74 · 08/05/2018 17:12

@picklesandpetals, local anaesthetic?!? 😬 Well, I hope the consultant doing the EC is gentle. 😊

That’s great news @Si1ver! 🎉

@rainylake, 25 eggs! That’s super! Wishing you lots of lovely, fertilised embryos. 🤗 Take it easy.

@findingmyfeet, I’m so surprised you haven’t had an update on your embryos, but hopefully that’s a good sign. 🙂 Please try and think as many positive thoughts as possible. It really can help! 🌟

@hoping2018, wishing you a better experience this time around with egg quality. 🌟 Sorry, I don’t have any experience with OHSS...given my age that wasn’t something they were worried about with me! 😂

I hope all the ladies in the 2WW are hanging in there and looking forward to welcoming everyone else. 😊

I’m 7dp5dt today...another 7 days before I test!!! 🌈

Cobblestones · 08/05/2018 17:19

@Si1ver that’s amazing!

@rainylake glad it went well and your update is really helpful..

I’m going in for EC on Thursday. @hoping2018 we’re in sync. And I’m also at risk of OHSS. What trigger shot have they given you? They first told me to take ovitrelle but have since changed to a different one - bureslin - apparently a milder one. They haven’t mentioned the other drug.

I’m slightly worried now that my chances of a fresh transfer are diminished but safety over everything else I suppose...

picklesandpetals · 08/05/2018 17:25

@Si1ver that's really really great news, so happy for you, great result 🙌 Saturday will be here soon. How many will you transfer? Your clinic sounds pretty good

@HappyHedgehog247 aaah i see! Thanks for clarifying!

@rainylake 25 is eggsellent! Fingers crossed that lots of are mature

@findingmyfeet12 good luck for transfer tomorrow

@hoping2018 that's a great number too, sounds a really positive scan

@SouthernBella74 tell me about it. Am hoping I've misunderstood at this stage 😬 7 days will hopefully pass quickly!

xx

picklesandpetals · 08/05/2018 17:27

@Cobblestones that's great you have a date for EC, hopefully mine should be Friday, guess I'll find out tomorrow after my scan x

ginandtonicformeplease · 08/05/2018 17:54

@hoping2018 I think Cabergoline was one I had to take in the evenings for a week or so after EC - it stops milk production. I've binned the bottle now so I can't check, but I think it was that one.

CiroDiMarzio · 09/05/2018 06:22

Morning all!

@si1ver I’m so pleased all your eggs fertilised - best of luck for the transfer, it will come around so quickly.

@rainylake well done to you on 25 eggs, how incredible. I’m keeping everything crossed for you that you get good news today.

@hoping best of luck to you and your hubby for tomorrow. I hope you’ve both got a good book you can take to keep your mind off of things during the wait.

@findingmyfeet good luck for today.

@southernbella you’re halfway through now! I hope the rest of it flies by for you. oddly my 2WW is only 11dpt! OTD is May 18 so I won’t be far behind you. How have you been passing the time?

AFM I’ve just booked a week off work from my OTD so we can go away and forget our troubles in the event of a BFN.
