Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone wants to hold hands as we go through a cycle?

After a failed fresh cycle earlier this year, I’m starting my progynova today with a planned FET for May.

Would love some company x

I had my baseline scan today. I start menopur injections tonight! Slightly nervous so getting dh to do it for me 🙈

@Summerloving17, ahh. Thanks so much. I was so focussed on getting through the plan, that I never thought about my embryo coming home. That’s very sweet and a good way to think about it.

@Cobblestones, good luck! The first injection is the worse due to nervousness, etc., but you’ll soon get over it.

Thanks for the wishes ladies. I’m going to try and stay as relaxed as possible. My OH will be in the room with me, so it should be fine.

Cobblestones I had baseline done today. Not keen on the consultant telling me to lose weight and that I have pcos because of multiple small follicles present.

Lovely thought of eggs coming home, didn't think of it like that

Haha i bet you never thought you’d be saying fun with pessaries @happyhedgehog! Good to read it went ok, a friend of a friend of mine only got one egg, first time and it took so you never can tell!

Can I just say - cetrotide fucking hurts! The injection itself was fine, but my stomach is still stinging 15 minutes later.

Today can do one, I'm lying on the sofa, crying hormonally and I irrationally hate my husband because all he has to do is wank in bloody jar.

Si1lver lol 😂 I wish I could say that about my DH but he's getting his balls cut up will I'm getting stabbed with needles.

Waiting for my clinic to confirm protocol now.

Cetrotide update

Been awake since 4.30 fretting like a woss. Bit of a fath getting drug back into syringe but if you pull needle until nearly out of the vial it all drains back into the syringe. The injection itself was actually fine and didn't hurt at all. I had to ask my OH if it was in which surprised me. The sting comes afterwards, which I can cope with and put ice on it. 20 minutes later and the sting is subsiding 🤗

Nice one @picklesandpetals! I injected myself for first time today usually make husband do it. Small victories! The sun is shining sending positive vibes for a good day for each and everyone of us. !

@picklesandpetals that sounds quite positive! Will keep the icing in mind for when I start cetro I think in a weeks time. I find it easier to deal with things if I can anticipate it.. @silver hope it gets easier for you

@AniSL do let us know about the protocol

Took my first injection last night. I think I was more nervous when dh was mixing it fretting we would get it wrong rather than when injecting it. Glad the first is over!

@Southernbella the sun has definitely come out for you! 🎉🎉

2 of my 4 eggs fertilised. They suggested i get both put back but will see what grade they are tomorrow and might reconsider if one higher and one much lower quality.

Ok so I thought I would give you all a giggle. Shows how useless men really are with the whole fertility issue

DH asked me last night, as we are having SSR and have to have a back up sperm donor just in case, could we fertilize some of my eggs with his sperm (if found) and the some with the donor sperm and implant one of each 🤐

Just leaving the clinic, so I can now say I’m PUPO!!! 🎉

We got a picture of our little embryo - which I wasn’t expecting, so nice to have - and confirmation that it thawed properly.

The hardest part about it all was the wait as there was a slight delay...and my bladder was over full! 😂

As the consultant wanted me to wait 10 minutes AFTER the transfer, I very nearly had an accident!! 😂

But managed to hold on a teeny bit longer.

Now in the 2WW, but have homework to do tonight before class, so that’ll help.

Glad to hear injections are coming along and scans looking promising.

@bangsaklove whooo check you out, victory indeed. I'm still getting OH to inject me, and not being a good patient, definitely feeling cranky today 😬

After my first day of stims and feeling a pinching I'm not feeling anything any more so not sure what to think

@sissi81 I did all my own injections. You'll be a dab hand once you've done a couple!

I don't have a transfer date but since I'm having both transferred they probably won't go to 5 days. The sense I got is the main reason they wait til blastocyst stage is so they can pick the strongest- is that right?

So could transfer tomorrow (day 2) or Thurs (day 3 and also my birthday!). I looked at an online calculator today and it's only 10% chance for me with 1 cycle but goes up to 40% by 6 cycles, which made me feel better. Also had a good chat with someone today who used a donor egg.

My last cycle they said they had two to put back on day 3 but couldn't work out which was strongest so took to day 5. So you're right.

I am on the short protocol, but I'll have a freeze all first ... so anything but short as if everything goes as planned I'll know if it has worked only as the end of June.

Hi, hope you all don't mind if I join late! I'm 36, TTC 3 years, MFI. Our CCG has pulled all funding so had to go private. I've already done EC - due to OHSS it was a freeze all.

I don't know why I'm much more worried about the FET than I was the EC - the EC I was worried that they wouldn't get any decent eggs, but I hadn't found the injections too bad and didn't suffer adverse side effects, so I wasn't worried about the procedure. OMG the pain in the days afterwards! DH was on the verge of ringing for an ambulance, I was vomiting, had a temperature and it took ages for my stomach to start going down!

So while I know it was worth going through that to get our blastocysts, it's made me really worried about the FET. The clinic has delayed this until June to let my body completely recover but this also gives me more time to worry! So just joined hoping for a handhold.

@Summerloving17, yes, she told me to lie there for 10 minutes! 😱 I think I managed 5 and then just had to get up or there was going to be a puddle! 😂

@Sissi81, I did all of my own injections during my drum cycles as my OH was way to skimish. 🙄 So, you’ll do just fine. 😁

@ginandtonicformeplease, welcome to our little group. 😃 I just had my FET today, my first ever transfer and it was much easier than EC and less painful than the 3DSIS, in my opinion. The worse bit was holding my water! 😂
