Cycle buddies April/May

Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone wants to hold hands as we go through a cycle?

After a failed fresh cycle earlier this year, I’m starting my progynova today with a planned FET for May.

Would love some company x

Ponypals my meds came last week's in two big boxes- one was a huge cooler box.

So true to form my body decided to tell me to eff off and not do what I was expecting, woke up with AF this morning, so I guess I am joining you all on the journey a little earlier than expected

Thanks girls for making me feel so welcome, sorry if I haven’t posted much still trying to read through all the pages of the post and it’s hard to be on phone at work. I’m on the long protocol 3 weeks of burselin! Maybe cos I’m an oldie...so far just been really wiped out but can deal with. Taking one day at a time...

I've just had another scan. 14 follicles in total and might have 6 - 8 mature enough for ec.

They want to see me again tomorrow with ec pencilled in for Thursday.

Good luck to everyone else with appointments or starting meds.

@hoping2018 I'm hoping that's the case. Although not feeling much more atm apart from bloated. And headache and tired. Scan booked for Friday so will see how they're developing 🤞

@AniSL it's caught you unexpectedly hey. At least you can get started now though, you'll be doing injections tomorrow night I guess. You are on same drugs as me. You don't need to worry too much about the gonal f one

@SouthernBella74 how did you get on with cetrotide? Any tips?

I have my baseline scan on Wednesday morning so will probably start meds on Wednesday evening. Waiting for my clinic to confirm doses etc, they said they need to see my scan before recommending dose etc

@picklesandpetals, ughh! Cetrotide was the worse injection! It stung so much. 😖 I just tried to pinch my fat roll harder to take away the focus from the actual injection. 😂 Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. But I think I was only taking Cetrotide for 7 days...

I’m taking Clexane just now & it stings as well. But I’ll be on it for weeks! 😬 At least the needle is smaller....

How comes the cetrotide hurts more? I was looking forward to a smaller needle :-)
Did anyone else feel nausea on burserelin? Feel sick as a dog today Hmm

I'm not thrilled on the cetrotide hurting updates, I start my shots tonight.

I'm feeling so bloated and sluggish today, my brain doesn't seem to be connecting properly.

@Si1ver I know!!! Would have preferred not to have known I think! 🙈 i start cetrotide tomorrow morning so will provide an update. Can feel a restless night ahead

Feel rubbish today. Headache and knackered. I've also pretty much cut caffeine out too

@HappyHedgehog247 4 is plenty - it's quality and not quantity.

I got 20 eggs and no good quality blasts at the end, whilst my good friend had 6 follicles, 6 eggs and two good quality blasts. one put back and one FET. Sadly I'm the perfect example of quality over quantity! Xx

@bangsaklove, @Si1ver, @picklesandpetals, apologies for increasing your nervousness about Cetrotide. You could try icing the injection site beforehand? I didn’t do it, as was taking mine at 7am & didn’t want to faff about, but heard it helps.

In the grand scheme of things, it’s a small price to pay. 😃

@happyhedgehog247, I echo the other ladies in that it really is quality vs quantity. So, just focus on that and sending you positive thoughts for good fertilisation. 🤗

@Summerloving17, I’m super excited for tomorrow!!! So hard to believe that transfer day is nearly here! 😬 I have to be at the clinic at 1330 and hoping and praying my embryo thaws okay and there are no issues. They told me the timetable on Thursday, so I’ve had quite a few days to wrap my mind around it. 😃

Think I’ll go to the gym in the morning just to release any tension and relax my mind.

Do you have the time for your transfer on Wednesday, @Summerloving?

@Southernbella ah that's similar to mine- 12:50 and exactly what I was thinking for the morning, maybe a run in the park (if the rain stops) and a lovely breakfast before heading to the hospital.
Let us know how you get on and I'm sure your little frostie can't wait to come home :) xx

Thanks for all the lovely messages. Will just keep fingers crossed! On my phone I thought I had done a first post that got cut half way off, hence a post beginning 'sorry'!

The first bit was to say that egg collection was not as bad as I thought for anyone who hasn't gone through it yet, as I really wasn't looking forward to it but it was fine!

I am so excited for your transfers @summerloving and @southernbella. I will be keeping everything crossed for you.

Injections over and now it's fun with pessaries!
