*winnie, I’m ok, I’ve popped a bit now 😂 10 weeks in. My boobs are sore now and again that happens at random times. Food is touch and go some days I’ll eat anything and feel fine other days everything i look at turns my stomach. I’m tired in the afternoons. But apart from that I feel absolutely fine. I’ve still been in the gym aswell.

jane goodluck with the house! The people who we sold to, where the best people no problems, no demands it was just so simple. I hope yours is the same!
We have moved and all settled in, well almost still a few little bits to sort. You are doing so well in this wait considering. I’m really praying it’s good news for you!! Xx

Hi Ladies - is it ok if I join this?

It’s my first IVF round & i’m currently in the 2ww. We had 1 day 5 blasto transferred on the 30th Apr. First few days I got a bit carried away and got really excited but I’ve had no symptoms at all and convinced AF will show any day now. We were told to test on the 11th but I don’t know how much longer I can hold out so I’m tempted to test tomorrow morn. Did anyone else test early?

We’ve got 2 more day 5 blasto’s frozen so I’m trying to keep positive even if this one doesn’t work out.

Great to see some good news stories on here! X

Liverpool19 · 09/05/2018 18:46

Welcome blondie I tested two days early and I think winnie was about 3/4 (may not be been winnie) 😂 having no symptoms can mean your pregnant or not pregnant. I had every single symptom but others on here had none! You really can not tell until you do the test. Sometimes you just wish there was one main give away don’t you. X

Blondie84 · 09/05/2018 19:33

Thanks Liverpool - most definitely I feel like I’m going slowly insane!! DH is totally against me testing tomorrow as he’s worried the trigger shot will impact result but that was way back on 23rd so I don’t think that will be an issue

Winnie56 · 09/05/2018 19:54

I used first response to test early on day 7. It wasn't that faint I could have maybe tested a day earlier. Testing early doesn't help though because then you worry that it was right and end up testing every day and your still counting down the days to test day.

Janefx40 · 10/05/2018 10:16

I'm starting to massively freak out. What if this test is negative on Saturday?! I know logically that is the most likely outcome but the hope for a positive is all consuming. I'm getting myself into a bit of a panic now.

Liverpool19 · 10/05/2018 12:11

Oh jane I honestly don’t know what to say to you 😢 I just think you have to prepare yourself for the eventuality that it’s not going to be positive then it’ll be even better if it is sorry I can’t be more helpful xx

PonyPals · 10/05/2018 13:37

Hang in there @Janefx40 at least there is still a little bit of hope. This must be so tough Sad

Winnie56 · 10/05/2018 13:38

Thinking you @Janefx40 xx

Blondie84 · 10/05/2018 13:40

The waiting is the worst bit, I didn’t realise how crazy it would make me! Went with a strategy of expect the worst but hope for the best. I don’t think I was prepared for the rollercoaster of IVF, the clinic weren’t great at giving much info but apparently it was intentional to not overwhelm us.

I was naughty and went ahead and tested a day early this morn. Had a faint but present positive which I’m over the moon about! Keeping everything crossed this sends good karma in your direction too Jane.

Im trying not to get carried away though as I know odds of miscarriage are higher. Do you ladies know if there is ever a point in IVF pregnancies where the risk is the same as any other pregnancy?

Janefx40 · 10/05/2018 14:01

@Blondie84 that's very exciting congrats. Yes send positive Baby dust my way.

Thanks everyone. The kind thoughts help

Xxx

PonyPals · 10/05/2018 14:32

This is such a long process isn't it

Congrats on your BFP. Super exciting!
I believe the odds are the same regardless but I might be wrong?

Liverpool19 · 10/05/2018 14:45

blondie congratulations!! Im also under the impression it’s the same as a “normal” pregnancy as you are signed out of the clinic once you have your first scan. Mine was at 8 weeks exactly. I had my booking in at 9 weeks and my scan will be 12+6. As I brought it forward as much as I could other wise I would of been like 13+3 and some days it likes to pop out and other days it likes to hide 😂

Hi pony how are you? X

Winnie56 · 10/05/2018 18:17

Congratulations @Blondie84 xxx

Does anyone know why IVF pregnancies have a higher risk of miscarriage at the beginning.

Moved house a little while ago and didn't change doctors. Now the IVF clinic has been in contact with them to give them the news they are basically now forcing me out. Tried to register with a new doctors today and they are saying it could take three months for me to get fully booked in plus the extra time needed to book me a midwife appointment. They have said I should make a self referral through our local hospital so it doesn't delay my scans. What a nightmare!! Feeling like a zombie today!

Liverpool19 · 10/05/2018 20:05

I think it’s because of the way the embryo implants into the womb winnie doctors are a nightmare. My boyfriend had the same problem with his when we started this. He told them he wouldn’t be moving until the IVF had finished. I self referred myself to the midwife. I just used the number my friend gave me. X

Winnie56 · 10/05/2018 20:06

@Liverpool19 I moved quite a while ago and managed to get away not changing the doctors before IVF as my parents lived at address I was still registered with. It's so annoying it's just another thing to worry about lol

Blondie84 · 12/05/2018 05:53

Thanks ladies. Had another Bfp yesterday but I had some brown spotting thats turned to light red this morning. I’m panicking big time don’t know what I should be doing. Fell out with dh last night just before hand and I’m worried it’s my fault for getting upset. Googling seems to show some bleeding in early pregnancy is common & could be the suppositories causing it (they have been irritating me the last few days). Any advice greatly appreciated!

Liverpool19 · 12/05/2018 07:42

blondie change the progesterone to you bum 🙈 it won’t irritate you. It’s not nice but it will stop the irritable feeling. I had the brown/red spotting for 4 days before I got my positive. There’s nothing you can really do to be honest. Just keep an eye on it. X

Elly1685 · 12/05/2018 08:32

Morning ladies.

Sorry I’ve been quiet lately. Just been plodding along with life :)

@jane I’m thinking of you this morning. Please let us know

@blondie congrats on your BFP. Hopefully the bleeding is just normal part of the process or progesterone being a pain! Take care xx

Blondie84 · 12/05/2018 08:51

Thanks ladies, bleeding has got heavier Sad I don’t think this is a good sign, feel pretty devastated right now. Just spoke to clinic and they said to up to 3 cyclogest a day & to do another test on Mon.

Thinking of you this morn @jane and keeping all crossed for you. X

Liverpool19 · 12/05/2018 08:57

Goodluck jane
blondie definitely change the cyclogist to your bum for a few days if you are bleeding. I hope you are ok and this is nothing to worry about xx

Janefx40 · 12/05/2018 13:32

Hi Ladies. Sorry for the delayed response. I got a positive test yesterday (I did go early in the end!) and again today on my OTD. We're a little stunned. So happy to have got this far but am also very aware that I am already having on and off cramping that is possibly increasing in intensity (hard to be sure when obsessing!). So I'm not taking anything for granted but am really pleased to be here.

Sorry I didn't post earlier. I feel strangely superstitious about posting...but ultimately whether this embryo sticks is up to the genes in its cells and not me posting on Mumsnet!!

@Blondie84 I'm so sorry things are stressful with you. Really hope this is not a serious bleed. Keep us posted. Keeping everything crossed for you.

PonyPals · 12/05/2018 13:36

Oh My GOD!

Jane it's like a miracle Smile I have all my fingers crossed for you. It is very exciting but a very scary time too.

Elly1685 · 12/05/2018 14:04

WOW!!! That is fab news @Jane!!! I literally have everything crossed for you that this works out!! Keep us updated

Janefx40 · 12/05/2018 15:10

Thanks @Elly1685 and @PonyPals I'm quite astonished. They said we had a 5-10% chance of this embryo making it as far as day 6 so it has done so well to have made it another 11 days post transfer. Clearly I'm already worrying - cramps, ectopic pregnancies etc...but I am so grateful to have got this far
