We've been on holiday for a week and at our return we received a letter from fertility clinic giving us an appointment on 9 August :)

Hello ladies, I lost you all for ages! Hope everyone is doing ok. I’m now over 21 weeks! Had scan last week and everything seems to be ok, phew! Sending lots of best wishes to everyone

Brilliant news beetroot won’t be long at all! I’m good. I’ve been in Dubai for a week and the heat was fine 😂 I have my 20 week scan on Wednesday.

Lovely to hear such happy news @dinks and all the other good news too. Wow 12 weeks Jane that has flown by! Really does show light at the end of the tunnel!

We’ve got our follow up app with the private clinic this Weds so will hopefully get a bit more clarity on what options are now. We had a very well timed holiday after our sad news so felt like we had some proper time to chill out, spend some time just being sad but process it all. I’ve just finished my latest period so I’m relieved my cycle seemed to be normal-ish so soon after. Does anyone have any experience on how many cycles they make you wait before trying again? X

blondie nice to hear you had a lovely holiday to chill out and process everything. From what I’m hearing I think it pretty much up to you and how your cycles have come back if you are ready to go and the clinic give you the all clear then why not. Maybe someone with experience can help you xx

Its so quiet in here lately.
On thursday I have my first clinic appointment. Any advise what to expect? What to ask? Thanks :)

Hi @Beetroot01 this thread doesn't have much activity - it might be better to join some more active ones. There are quite a few IVF ones on the go.

First appointment usually involves discussing where you are up to so far. If you already have test results they may go through them and give you a quick opinion on what your best options are. They may talk you through the IVF process and timings, what it involves etc. Also how their clinic works compared to others.

If you haven't had tests done they may arrange these. My OH also had to do a sperm test even tho he had already had this tested.

For us they advised us to either keep trying naturally (as it hadn't been that long but we were already over 40) or to go straight to IVF. They told us when to get in touch if we were going the IVF route.

Hi @Beetroot01 this forum is quite nice in that a lot of the ladies have had success stories which is encouraging! There are still some of us here who are still trying. I have my first clinic appointment for my second round on 3rd Sept. Plan is for egg collection end of September.

Is your appointment just an initial consultation or is it likely to be a scan and injection teach?xx
