Thanks @Minster2012 @PonyPals 😊

swimchick1980 · 08/04/2018 16:58

Fantastic news Hoppy, congratulations! My line wasn't any darker than yours and I was 8 weeks pregnant on Friday. Time feels like it is standing still just now though, you have such a lot of activity with the scans, injections etc and then it's back to waiting again. Still feeling very lucky and in total disbelief!

Hoppy1985 · 08/04/2018 21:10

Thanks @swimchick1980 yep even waiting to ring the clinic in the morning is terrible!

becky114 · 09/04/2018 07:10

@Hoppy1985 all the waiting is the worst good luck xxx

Winnie56 · 09/04/2018 08:29

Congratulations Hoppy. Xx

Winnie56 · 09/04/2018 10:56

Just had my last scan and bloods before egg collection this week. Looks like I have in total 17 eggs on left ovary and 20 on the other. Some are over the 18mm threshold so depending on my blood results will determine if I take ovidrel or buserelin.
Will find out later about this and if my egg collection will be Wednesday or Thursday.
I'm feeling really down at the moment.

Liverpool19 · 09/04/2018 11:15

Why are you feeling down winnie them numbers are really high! Or do you just feel down with your hormones? Xx

XstephanieX · 09/04/2018 11:50

Congratulations @Hoppy1985 !! Wonderful news ☺️ x
Hi @Winnie56 those numbers look super promising! Hope you're okay, my mood has been so up and down on these drugs I've no idea if I'm going to laugh or cry from one minute to the next! X

Winnie56 · 09/04/2018 11:56

I'm feeling fine in myself apart from looking like I'm ready to give birth. Always get more bloated after they do one of their scans. Hormone wise I'm fine and I normally really struggle with Pms symptoms - crying, temper etc. If I wasn't bloated I would think it was just another normal month.

I'm feeling down because I'm just over worrying. I don't want to go to a frozen transfer I want to do fresh this month. And that's probably not going to happen now. I'm worried that even though I have lots of follicles they are going to hold poor quality eggs and if we have to do frozen they won't get to day 5.

Winnie56 · 09/04/2018 17:10

Just had my bloods back my hormone levels have doubled since they checked on Friday. Been told to not take any gonal f tonight and go in for another blood test tomorrow so they check.

Liverpool19 · 09/04/2018 17:35

Does anyone know what I can take? I got a bad chesty cough mixed in with a cold, feeling tiredness on another level and feeling sick 🙈

becky114 · 09/04/2018 17:42

@Liverpool19 I have a cold to, I'm only using a bit of sudafed but you can use paracetamol to. I think colds are common in early pregnancy xxx

Liverpool19 · 09/04/2018 17:52

I heard that too becky could really do with out it 😂 xx

Hoppy1985 · 09/04/2018 19:38

So rang the unit today to tell them my test was positive...3 attempts on hold for 5-10 mins each time. Decided to send an email instead to tell them and say I run out of meds Wednesday morning so need more...get an email back to say "congrats..you've been put on the list for a nurse call back within 3 days...in the meantime if you need more medication let us know". Really? Responded reiterating the same. No response yet. I don't know how many of you ladies are NHS and how many private but I have found the level of communication from the hospital so poor and it's just added to the stress of everything!😔

Hoppy1985 · 09/04/2018 19:39

@Winnie56 don't worry I'm sure they're just taking precautions, sounded really positive otherwise. I hope you are ok, I know I worried the whole way through! Xx

Liverpool19 · 09/04/2018 19:55

What meds do you need hoppy? I can’t faukt my clinic, I was NHS and they have been amazing. I suppose all clinics are different though. winnie try not to worry. Xx

Aliona19 · 09/04/2018 21:18

Hoppy keep ringing them. I had 102028483 of unanswered emails. Just have to keep calling or leave voicemail if an option. Sometimes I sit and ring for hours just to get through or go there directly. They r very annoying

Winnie it’s ok to feel like that, but don’t be killing yourself with worry. And why have you already decided that none of the so many eggs will make it to day 5? You are like me, overthinking and preparing for worst. But that’s wrong attitute. You going to get loads of good eggs and it will work! Fresh or frozen-all for the best. Chin up xx

Liverpool.. I had bad toothache and been given antibiotics and they r still on my table, not touching them. First trimester any medication should be avoided (obviously unless u must take it).. maybe visit your Gp, although I don’t trust them either 😅 doc from my country said I was crazy accepting those antibiotics! Therefore, not touching them.

Hoppy1985 · 09/04/2018 23:28

@Aliona19 I'm going to have to tomorrow morning though hate being on the phone constantly at work! I'd love to pop in directly but it's a 150 mile round trip!

Liverpool19 · 10/04/2018 06:36

aliona my gp is awful I’d rather not see him 😂 I literally can’t stop coughing scared the baby will fall out! This broken sleep for a week isn’t helping either! Xx

Winnie56 · 10/04/2018 08:42

Thanks Aliona.
I am a bit of a planner and this IVF process where you have take it day by day is completely out of my comfort zone which is making me more anxious. Probably the high hormones are not helping either.

I'm just on my way now to have my blood test done again. Hoping to find out actually how high it is today as they didn't tell me the exact amounts yesterday. Apparently it was quite high on Friday but they only asked me to reduce medication over the weekend. I feel like it may have been a better option to have stopped them completely at least on Sunday. They are suppose to double every 48 hours aren't they.

Janefx40 · 10/04/2018 09:22

@Winnie56 good luck with the test. I know it is hard - I am a researcher and planner like you - but unless you have a really good reason not to, try to trust that the clinic know what they are doing. You are in their hands.

Fingers crossed all goes well for you

Xxx

Winnie56 · 10/04/2018 15:59

Just had my bloods back and my hormone has now reduced considerably.
Doctor is happy to go ahead with egg collection on Thursday and still with Ovitrelle.

Any words of advice between now and then?

Liverpool19 · 10/04/2018 16:37

Brilliant! Just keep doing what you’ve been doing drink lots of water and relax. There’s no more that you can do now winnie xx

Janefx40 · 10/04/2018 16:42

@Winnie56 great news. My advice is to enjoy the day post trigger shot. It is your only day off meds, tests etc. Nothing to be done so relax and enjoy. It'll all start again post EC with progesterone etc xx

Winnie56 · 10/04/2018 17:23

Thank you xx
