Sounds great @Winnie56 !

I in contrast have had a ridiculously stressful day:

Monday morning(first opportunity after positive test):
-call unit 3 times,hold for 10 mins,give up
-email unit to say positive test and out of meds weds morning so need more by then
-receive congratulations email from
unit with "if you urgently need more medication let us know"
-reply to email telling them AGAIN that I need more by Weds (no response)

Tuesday morning:
-As soon as clinic opens ring and hold for 20 mins, speak to nurse and tell her I need more meds by weds (refer to my email of yesterday also) who says she will mark my need for meds as urgent

  • 2pm still heard nothing from Hah who deliver meds so ring them. They don't have an order for me and if they do receive one the earliest they can get it to me is Thurs as cut off for next day is midday
  • ring unit back and say what I've been told, admin person checks and it's been marked for delivery Thursday not Wednesday. She will get someone to sort ASAP
-5.30 nothing from HaH so ring them. They don't deliver in my area on Thursdays and because they only received the order after 4pm it now won't get delivered until Friday

So a day and a half without meds. How much of an impact do you think it will have? (Also a question I asked when I thought it would only be one day late, which they've ignored).

And breathe.....

Liverpool19 · 10/04/2018 18:14

hoppy what meds are you needing? X

Hoppy1985 · 10/04/2018 18:42

@Liverpool19 I'm on 8mg (2x2 tablets) a day of Progynova [estradiol] and 3 a day Utrogestan [progesterone] pessaries

I only have 4 of the Progynova tabs left and 5 of the Utrogestan 😫

Hoppy1985 · 10/04/2018 19:08

Do you think I should try and spread what I do have put more rather than take them as instructed and miss a day and a half?!

Liverpool19 · 10/04/2018 19:17

The pessarys i had (cycIogest) I was told to stop the day I rang them to confirm I was pregnant. The others I can’t help as I didn’t have so I don’t want advise you! Not sure if anyone else can help?!

Hoppy1985 · 10/04/2018 19:33

@Liverpool19 I've been told I need to continue both at the same dose until 12 weeks but obviously it could be 2 days gap by the time I receive delivery on Friday. I really don't know what to do 😢

Liverpool19 · 10/04/2018 19:36

Oh god hoppy 🙈 I honestly don’t no what you should do. Your clinic sounds like a nightmare 😭 I’ve been really lucky.

Hoppy1985 · 10/04/2018 19:39

@Liverpool19 I actually think the clinic's disorganisation has been the main cause of my stress. I just don't understand how they couldn't sort it out in time - I let them know as early as I could!

swimchick1980 · 10/04/2018 19:49

Great news Winnie, I would echo the comments of drinking water and trying to relax as much as possible (easier said than done).

Hoppy, your clinic sounds awful, you should complain. It is simply not good enough not getting you the meds you need and causing stress at a time when it's the last thing you need.

Hope everyone is doing ok. TMI alert - I had a blind panic moment earlier when I went to the loo and there was lots of bright red blood. Thought it was another MC. Thankfully (!), it just looks to be be piles! I have been so constipated recently. Anyway, scan tomorrow and really hoping to hear a heartbeat.....

Hoppy1985 · 10/04/2018 19:54

@swimchick1980 I have sent them an arsey email but I'm really going out of my mind a bit about it to be honest.

Hoppy1985 · 10/04/2018 20:02

Hurrah! My wonderful wonderful friend (who now has a gorgeous baby boy) has some of both left over!

Liverpool19 · 10/04/2018 20:08

Good luck for tomorrow swim I’m sure everything will be fine. As mad as this sound good news about the piles 😂😂 xx

Hoppy1985 · 10/04/2018 20:12

I missed the bit about your scab @swimchick1980 ..so caught up in a stress bubble. Best of luck for tomorrow! Xx

Hoppy1985 · 10/04/2018 20:14

@swimchick1980 SCAN not scab 🙄

Winnie56 · 10/04/2018 20:20

Hoppy so sorry to hear that you are stressed out. It's really not on that they have not provided you with enough medication or an easy way of being able to get some if you have run out.

Liverpool19 · 10/04/2018 20:32

Brilliant hoppy at least you know you have enough to get through now. Xx

Aliona19 · 10/04/2018 21:03

Hoppy1985 Glad it’s all sorted, was gonna offer you some of mine as went through this stress myself a week ago, got them last minute as no one cares 😤

Swim good luck to you. Super crazy stress. Keep having nausea non stop but this afternoon it suddenly stopped, and boobs don’t hurt as much.. was happy for a second and now keep thinking “why? Is it the end?!” Sick of this worries 😢 hope all goes well for you and you can enjoy that very first special moment of hearing heartbeat 😍😍

Liverpool have you gone to see Gp?

swimchick1980 · 10/04/2018 21:03

That's great news Hoppy. Thanks for the good luck wishes - Liverpool, I know, what other person is delighted they have piles Grin

Liverpool19 · 10/04/2018 21:06

Hi aliona no I’ve not been I’m trying to avoid him. I spoke to the pharmacist today who said I can have simple linctus so I’ve had that. And drinking honey, lemon and hot water 😂. Try not to worry aliona I had a friend who didn’t know she was pregnant for 4 months. Had not one symptom until her doctor done a pregnancy test before he gave her antibiotics!

Xx

Aliona19 · 10/04/2018 21:08

Liverpool19 Lol our favourite “try not to worry”thing 😅😅 wish we could use it on ourselves 😅😅 I just need mini ultrasound machine at home 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hoppy1985 · 10/04/2018 21:12

Thanks @Aliona19 I'm glad it's sorted. I'm sure things are fine! I also know someone who didn't find out she was pregnant until 5 1/2 months. Went to the doctors about swollen feet (thought she had trench foot from being at a festival in the rain!) and told her she was pregnant!

They have booked me in for my first scan on 30th but mentioned nothing of a blood test. Should I just go to the GP do you think?

Liverpool19 · 10/04/2018 21:14

hoppy I don’t get a blood test either my clinic doesn’t do them and just refers me to the maternity unit once I’ve had my scan. Every clinic is different.
I know aliona if only it was that easy 😂 xx

swimchick1980 · 10/04/2018 21:18

Thanks Aliona, our posts crossed. I have bouts of nausea, but not continual. My boobs are still bigger than normal (not difficult, so woohoo!). Taking them as good signs. Fingers crossed.

Hoppy1985 · 10/04/2018 21:18

@Liverpool19 ah same as my clinic then!

PonyPals · 10/04/2018 23:44

@Aliona19 I have a home Doppler machine it was pretty cheap. It allows you to hear the heartbeat. This is what I did with my first... every morning and it really helped with anxiety as I didn't have symptoms throughout pregnancy.
