Gosh your follow up was quick. Mine are usually three - four weeks later! I had those. I hope it shows something for you. Be aware it’s £1050, plus about £60 odd for drugs at Countess. Mr Wood may have given you a ball park figure. It’s £850 for just ERA plus drugs. Xx

wanab · 11/09/2019 08:17

p.s sorry it was a negative! Xxxxx

I was tempted to test today but haven’t. I’m needing a wee and/or drink 2 or 3 times a night at the moment. So tired. Also backache everyday this week. Will be annoying if that’s all the drugs. 🤔 3 days to go.

PennyBC26 · 11/09/2019 10:20

@wanab Thanks. Did the test bring anything up? Was it sore? Who did it? Sorry for all the questions!! I have everything crossed for you!! xx

wanab · 11/09/2019 13:09

It's just like the smear. Worst part was the speculum for me as ever. The lady did it Dr sefton I think. Just take paracetamol. It only showed low good bacteria for me so I'm on probiotics. I guess it was worth it for that though, even if a rather expensive method. X

PennyBC26 · 11/09/2019 18:41

@wanab Phew, glad it wasn't too painful! Yes, she is my Dr, so lovely! Hopefully the low good bacteria will be fixed for you and make all the difference! Hope you are doing ok xx

wanab · 11/09/2019 22:38

Just knackered from moving house and not able to go bed early because of 11pm lubion. Off tomorrow so have a bit more time to chill. 🙂

PennyBC26 · 23/09/2019 19:00

Hi ladies, just checking in so say I hope you are all doing ok xx

wanab · 28/09/2019 08:34

Hi @PennyBC26 sorry for slow response.... I think I completely forgot to message, but I got my BFP and have my 7 week scan on Tuesday! I honestly thought I posted already. Hoping he/she is nice and snuggly now. Xxxx

wanab · 28/09/2019 08:37

@crisps88 is everything progressing well with you? Xx

PennyBC26 · 28/09/2019 17:48

@wanab wow!!! Huge congratulations to
you! Your news has made my day!!! You must be thrilled!! Was anything different this cycle that you think helped? xx

wanab · 28/09/2019 17:59

Yeh.. i’m super cautious. At the moment I can’t even begin to see myself making it as far as giving birth. The torture certainly doesn’t end after the 2ww. I’ve done so many tests since OTD. I did a digital mid week which said 2-3 but should be 3+ so hoping it was just a late implanter. Very much one stage at a time.

I think it being medicated was the difference. And perhaps the probiotics I needed.

PennyBC26 · 28/09/2019 20:03

@wanab Ahhh it's lovely news! Yes, I can imagine how cautious you are, take it easy! I have my ERA test in October, I hope that brings up something I need!xx

wanab · 28/09/2019 21:24

Hope so too. X

crisps88 · 28/09/2019 21:25

@wanab aghhhhhhhh!!! This is AMAZING news!!!! You truly deserve it honestly after everything you and OH been through. Oh I am so pleased for you honestly !!

@PennyBC26 really sorry to hear your news, I don’t know about any of these tests but I really hope they help. How are you feeling? Gutted for you Hun xxx

crisps88 · 28/09/2019 21:32

Here is our little baby. 13 weeks and 1 day!
I’m scared and anxious each and every minute but trying to relax a little. We’re so lucky and grateful. Xxx

PennyBC26 · 29/09/2019 07:38

@crisps88 That's amazing!! So happy for you and @wanab It's proof it works!! I'm trying to keep positive but just so sad that it hasn't worked yet. I hope it's third time lucky!!xx

crisps88 · 29/09/2019 09:10

@PennyBC26 I’m really sorry it didn’t, it is just heart wrenching. Plus the fact ivf is absolutely just all consuming in every aspect of your life.

If you can, the second time around I dropped all expectations and just tried to live normally and not as if I was going to or going through ivf I just enjoyed my life me and my husband. I know it’s easier said than Done I really do, but if anything living your life with less concerns about ivf really helped me. I know me saying it now seems ok for me but I really hope your tests don’t weigh on you too much. So sorry. Xxxxxxx

PennyBC26 · 29/09/2019 10:03

@crisps88 Thank you for your kind words. I know, I've lived and breathed IVF since I started...I've not drank for 7 months! Planning a holiday for October so hopefully that will get me in a more relaxed state for the third transfer!xx

Podemos · 04/10/2019 22:51

Wanna I am so so happy for you. I posted right at the beginning of this thread (was IcanMoo). You were having eggs collected as I was starting frozen transfers and I can't believe how much you've gone through to get here.

I cried at my 7 week scan as I'd convinced myself it couldn't be real- you are right, you think just getting that BFP will be great (which it is) but my god it is terrifying constantly thinking it'll go wrong.

We have 2 embryos frozen- anyone know why the clinic has changed from IVI? Still seems to be all the same staff working there. Suddenly realised that it's so strange that we have embryos there but I have no contact with the clinic any more. Presume we will need to start paying for them at some point- anniversary of successful transfer is on Monday!

Podemos · 04/10/2019 23:09

*wanab (don't know when I've ever written wanna for my phone to autocorrect to Smile)

wanab · 05/10/2019 19:23

Hi @Podemos

Thanks for posting. It's a crazy time. I've told most people so really hope it lasts! We are at a family wedding so decided to tell the family while all together. :).

Not sure why they changed. But I know the funding will potentially be changing soon. It's due for review April 2020 as far as I know, and yes i think you will have to start paying. No idea what to do with all ours of this works out. I'm wondering about donation. I always thought if I wanted a second i would adopt but then again with so many more left it seems daft not to try as difficult as the journey has been. It does appear that I just needed the progesterone but it could have been luck.

Is your little one doing well?

Matilda128 · 07/10/2019 15:05

Hi! I'm really happy that I found this thread and it's been so nice to read the success stories. I'm also at Chester Reproductive Medicine (I think it became independent from IVI which is a larger company). I had the first round of IVF which resulted in a very early miscarriage and now I'm waiting for our only FET. I was hoping that someone could help me with some information about 'natural' versus medicated transfers. I was told I would have a 'natural' as my cycles were regular but since the MC they seem to be all over the place. I'm so worried about waiting and delays- it took us more than two years to finally get treatment and being 37 with AMH of 7 I feel time is running out so fast (although I know women have had success at a later age and lower AMH). Did anyone have success with a 'natural' cycle and do you not get any progesterone to support pregnancy at all? Does anyone know how long you have to wait after a failed medicated cycle to start the next round of IVF? Thanksx

wanab · 07/10/2019 15:54

Welcome @Matilda128. Natural at Chrm uses no progesterone, but your body should do it itself. Good luck with your next try. It’s usually one or two cycles depending when your follow up is. X

Matilda128 · 07/10/2019 16:14

Thank you @wanab! And congratulations Smile I don't think I trust my body much but the progesterone supplements were no fun either. I'm currently on a 'test' cycle and I have a scan tomorrow. I'm terrible in terms of hospitals, stress and anxiety- just always feeling I lack information.

wanab · 07/10/2019 18:10

Hope the test one goes ok. Where do u live?x
