I got an email as I landed - my NHS funding has been approved and we have our appt in about 10 days time! Bowled over. That means my funding application was submitted and approved in 5 days! Amazing.

Brilliant news jane our funding was done in like 5 days too, we went 2nd jan and by the 6th jan I had a letter 😳😳 not long for you now. Relax and enjoy your time away before it starts again.

I got a BPF this morning. It seemed to take forever to show (DH doesn't believe the cheap ones!). We're still both very nervous after MC last time but obviously delighted for the time being.

I really don't want to tell people when I get back but think I'm going to have to tell some as they knew we were doing the IVF and have been asking how it's going......I quite like the idea of just me and DH (and all of you) knowing for a while, at least we're a bit further along.

Anyway, I don't need to think about that for at least a week so feet up for the next 7 days I reckon. Have a lovely week everyone 😀

I came on before Christmas but haven't been on much since as our journey is quite slow so try to switch off a bit between the long waits!

Lovely to see some good news on here!

We are due to have egg collection in June now (fingers crossed). I am getting a little worried if it doesn't work and we've wasted time as time isn't on my hubby's side!

Ginandtonic you not wasting time, you doing what you can and your appointment is coming up in June. And even if time been wasted, no point to worry about bcoz u can’t change that. Concentrate on what you can do in June

Hi Aliona, I mean time on each round if it doesn't work as we get three rounds. We won't egg transfer until next year now and we only really have a couple of years and if it doesn't work we will probably stop them due to age.

Ginandtonic had to go back and read your story again. I still don’t see any time wasting there. You didn’t sit on your ass or just gave up, you went ahead and and made doctors do all this massive job to identify the gene and now you going to have EC and have fet end of December or beginning of jan. and it will be all OK! And you never know, you may be able to freeze a few of good ones. Everything is going according to plan! 😘

Aliona I'm not doing too well if im honest and struggling today espically with mothers day. Just wish I could of got to test day at least. Didn't expect to start bleeding so early in tww wait (8 days after transfer )

I'm sorry you are feeling anxious and low this should be a special time for you.
I had a pregnancy loss a few years ago. I thought if I did get a BFP I would have to make sure I'm not anxious . Eas you to say I know.

Hey herewegoagain was reading story back. You are only young and it’s your first try, too early to give up! Couldn’t find any information on if you have any frozen ones? Plus you was saying you had chemical before means you still can get pregnant yourself, maybe not fast enough, but there is a chance. It’s really not all lost xxx but I do understand how you feel and I am sorry. Is your oh supporting you or he is being a typical man and not very sensible?
As for me I don’t think this anxiety will go away. Hating it so much..blocked so many people out this weekend, not great

hubby not accepting it so can't openly be upset, in limbo at the moment. Think that is why I'm struggling as much as I am.

No frozen embryos no, they were too low quality to freeze. We could have possibly self funded a FET with some help .
We won't have the money for a fresh cycle not for the forseeable future anyway.

Have a few people around me that are aware trying to be positive and talk about "next steps" . I just want to be able to process this attempt first.

You are correct I did have a chemical that was almost 4 years ago

I appreciate your concern. I don't think I explained very well.

My hubby is thinking I am taking bleeding automatically a bad sign and won't accept this cycle has failed (yet). He wants to wait till otd before drawing conclusions. Its good he is keeping hope . But it does not help me with processing it.

I think in all honesty this will hit him hard once he accepts it . He is not very good at talking and dealing with things when they go wrong. Shuts himself off. So even if money was not an issue I don't know if this is something we could do again. .

Oh ok herewegoagain.. coz at first it sounded like he is a right ass 😅 sorry. I know for many money is a problem, but it’s still manageable to save up slowly, time is on your side. But you are totally right about firstly processing this cycle and dealing with it before thinking about next steps. And don’t say rubbish about ruining he positivity, this tread exactly for that reason-to get support when feeling low, not just to cheer the good news xx

@herewegoagain18 just want to second what @Aliona19 said. This thread isn't just for BFPs - I think I've been on here 3 months and this last week is the first lot of BFPs we've had in that time.

If you want to talk to us about how you are feeling or anything else, then we want to hear it and help as we can.

Since my cycle failed, I have been quite low but following this thread has really helped. It's also helped me with the waiting - following other people's stories too.

@Aliona19 I think you just have to accept that you feel anxious and not fight it. It's ok for other people to say that this is a special time but if that's not how you feel then that's ok. Just do whatever you need to, to get through the day. I'm making a sampler. It is helping take my mind of things - maybe you could do something too
