Thanks. It's so nice to be sharing the 2ww with so many of you. I probably should have asked this but what happens if you use your frozen ones? Do you still do all the same drugs etc or do you not need to as you have them already? Also, do clinics tend to charge the same for the two cycles? Hoping we won't need to use them obviously Grin

Minster2012 · 28/02/2018 13:23

@swimchick1980 sorry I didn’t check in yesterday congrats on the really good numbers and thinking really sticky thoughts for you! Good luck!

On the frozen side we are doing a self funded egg collection & embryo freezing at the minute so I can comment on our costs which for the bits that relate to a frozen cycle (do not the EC & drugs for that) would be c£1500 for the drugs & the transfer cost (if we used them would be £1295) and storage costs for the frozen embryos is £750 for 3 years then £250 per year (but that’s on the basis our current pregnancy continues & kicks in when the child is 6 months old the NHS costs are null & void for us).

She had regular periods so it was easier to track her periods then based on that she called the clinic when her Sep period arrived & they went from there with the patches based on the pic attached, but she had to have tablets too added in & our transfer postponed for 2 weeks as her womb lining wasn’t thick enough when we thought it was going to be....I have also attached our plan as it was, but our transfer actually took place on 7th Nov & there were 2 more scans & some more tablets due to the lining tweak. But it worked!

I have fingers toes & everything crossed for all of you guys in the wait!

Thanks @Minster2012.

user1497036202 · 28/02/2018 13:33

Similar for me @swimchick1980 - our frozen transfer was around £1500. They put me on pill for a month and then I only had buserelin as drug to help with womb lining and timing. So us a lot easier cycle than fresh cycle x

swimchick1980 · 28/02/2018 13:41

Thanks user.

Camay · 28/02/2018 14:55

Hey ladies

Hope you don't mind me joining... had my transfer yesterday and already doing my own head in lol

How has anyone ever made it through the 2ww?!?

user1497036202 · 28/02/2018 15:51

Ha ha! I really don't know! I end up googling every issue I have! Today I have a really sore neck so that's been my google item of the day! I have soon come to realise that anything could mean your are pregnant so I should stop looking! Hmmx

Camay · 28/02/2018 16:07

Hahahaha!

That really made me laugh... I'm exactly the same! And you are right almost every single symptom you google can be attributed to pregnancy!!
But in this case hun I hope it is!!

My OH has banned me from google!!

How many days are you in? x

user1497036202 · 28/02/2018 16:31

Ha ha! I had two day 2 embies transferred last Friday so guess I am day 5. My test date is the 9th. How about you? X

Camay · 28/02/2018 16:35

I had one transferred (our other didn't make it) yesterday... test is 11th... there is absolutely no way I will make it til then
I'm a serial POAS lol x

How are you feeling @user1497036202 any symptoms?? 🤞🏼x

Minster2012 · 28/02/2018 16:58

@camay hi welcome! Gosh so many ppl now waiting how exciting!! I hope the so far good positivity and good news vibe of this thread continues!!

Keep yourself super busy, try & achieve something each day that’s what I did...I waited the full 2weeks, well both myself & my best friend who was actually the person who had our embryo transferred into her as our surrogate so I couldn’t symptom spot at all & she didn’t want to try in case she got it wrong & got my hopes up, we made a pact to wait the full 2 weeks so that we could all be together with my DH & that way we knew that whatever the result was THE result instead of any ‘faint lines’ or testing every day separately. Was agony for us all as no one else knew we were doing it either but we kept busy.

As it turns out she swears she had no symptoms whatsoever and is pregnant so even if you feel nothing it doesn’t mean you aren’t pregnant ladies 😁💕

user1497036202 · 28/02/2018 17:01

Ha @Camay are you going to be a bad influence?! Smile what is the earliest you think you will test?

No real symptoms for me - really sore boobs, neck ache and feel like gave heavy womb but nothing really- all could be because of the cyclogest! X

Camay · 28/02/2018 17:09

Ah @Minster2012 Congratulations! So happy to hear your news... really lovely that ur BF was your surrogate and that you made a beautiful pact! ❤️ Sending you all Love and health!!

And you're definitely right... I've had 2 days off and that's sent me doolally 🙈 I'm back to work tomorrow so will be a distraction!

@user1497036202 Hahaha! I promise I'll try not to be 🙈 I'm such a control freak I'm just no good at being patient so you can imagine how I've been thought out this entire journey 😂

Yeah I've had similar today (minus the neck ache) but like you said could so easily be the progesterone... can I just press fast forward already 😂 xxx

swimchick1980 · 28/02/2018 19:02

Fingers crossed for us all. I had ET today (EC on Friday) and have been told to test on 10 March. It's the day I'm due to go on holiday so I'm wondering if i can do a sneaky test on the Friday night......

user1497036202 · 28/02/2018 19:27

Eek we are all testing around the same time! I was worried they were going to make me test on my bday (11th and happens to be Mother's Day!) so glad it is on the 9th so I have time to compose myself if it's bad news x

dinksandbinks · 28/02/2018 19:33

Hi everyone! Just checking in to see all your news :) So much is happening! Welcome to all the newcomers! Crossing fingers for all those in the TWW - I remember it being hideous, but thankfully was really busy at work so just threw myself into that.

Minster Hope your treatment is going ok? AF arrived yet?! Like a bus, never turns up when you want it!! Are you snowed in? We have it really heavy here.

Aliona How is the fart-interpretation going? I actually laughed out loud when I read that - DH was like "wtf are you laughing at". It was hilarious! I hope you're doing ok! So great you got to meet Star and Dbear! I wish I was down south sometimes... then again, not ;)

Has anyone heard from Atik? Haven't seen her on here for a while? Glad to know Star is OK even if she isn't here so much!

Rose how are you getting on? How are the wedding plans?! Grin

As for me, the building work is still going on, I'm trapped at home because of the snow, I have a huge bump and no clothes to fit, have developed SPD, can't sleep and have to crawl up stairs to avoid pain... but the kid is kicking! Can see my stomach jump when he kicks, it's amazing.

I am thankful every day that IVF worked for us, and thankful for the wonderful support I got here. I am sending all my love and best wishes to all of you! xxxxx

Aliona19 · 28/02/2018 21:49

Dinks 😍😍😍 this baby kicking 😍😍😍
My symptoms are still same and it driving me mad..I want to know now! So I can get on with my life 🙄
Girls are very cute in real life and Star just as crazy as she sounds 😂😂 Atik is ok, just messaged her 🙃
And never mind you not living around, u never know one day❤️

dinksandbinks · 01/03/2018 09:56

Aliona It is really weird when he kicks. When it first started I thought I just had gas lol. I really hope you get to feel it for yourself!! If it’s any help I had no symptoms at all, til the OHSS kicked in.

Here’s a snowy picture from the north. It’s as close as I get to a selfie lol

❤️❤️❤️❄️❄️❄️

Minster2012 · 01/03/2018 14:32

@dinksandbinks kicking!! Yay!! My friend has just said she thinks 🐝has kicked too so she can feel it externally, it’s really strange, it makes me smile and cry, I want to feel it, I want it to be me so much but at the same time I’m pleased he’s kicking so I just have to deal with it 🤐, she sends me heartbeat recordings which pep me up.

aliona I’m so pleased that you have heard from star and atik, I was worried about atik as she dropped off.

No sign of AF for me and I phoned today as I was told too, hoping for scan tomorrow then starting stims but they are cancelling scans which can wait due to the weather, so it’s monday now, more waiting 😬.

For those on the 2ww I’m trying to have a productive snow day today & clear out cupboards, I did some cupboards whilst on 2 ww & leading up to Xmas whilst we were in secret and I can get really into it! So hoping to do sane again but just can’t get into the head space today grrrrrr

user1497036202 · 01/03/2018 15:42

I have had the worst day - went into Work (London) as forecast was better. Made it there ok but has taken me 3hrs in the freezing cold to get home. Hoping me being so cold hasn't harmed the 2ww!

Last night I had to go to bed at 8.30 - got home from swim- felt dizzy, sick and headachey. This morn felt the same. It could be meds but hoping it's a good sign. Also found a pound on the floor today - that's gotta be a good sign right?! Smile x

Janefx40 · 01/03/2018 15:56

Hey user - sorry for shitty day. You are 6 days post transfer so definitely possible to be feeling stuff now as embie has hopefully started implanting - although of course we all know it can just be progesterone too.

There are so many things online, I'm sure you can find a website somewhere that says finding a pound is a sign of early pregnancy! It's definitely good luck in any case x

Liverpool19 · 01/03/2018 16:15

Hi everyone, hope everyone is well! Just back from the hospital and my base scan. Ive been told to start injectining tonight!!

Janefx40 · 01/03/2018 16:32

@Liverpool19 exciting! What are you going to take? Injections are fine. You'll barely feel a thing...you're on the way now

X

Starlumiere · 01/03/2018 17:02

Hello everybody!!!

OMG the amount I had to read to get up to date!! So lovely to catch-up with all your stories Smile

Welcome to all the newbies - you are in real good hands on here! I wish you all a positive journey X

Dinks - I have been super busy and to cut the story short I felt the 7 weeks away from the mc was not enough so instead of starting stimming this week I have postponed it and booked a holiday ! Grin, so going to see my family in France for a few days and Portugal just after. I have postponed it to April/May, I need more time, not totally healed as yet. Where will you be going to in Portugal? and when?

Minster - how exciting! It is all happening again while your friend is carrying on cooking your little baby! Fabulous!

Aliona - ha crazy? So are you! We did have a great time, loved it! should do it again soon!

DBear - you are doing so well, the 7th is approaching fast! Bless you, I have everything crossed for you X

Liverpool19 and it all starts now!!! All the best!!!

Love to all ladies!
