Thanks Herewegoagain18 - it has definitely been a journey and I was hoping I won't have had to have been on the 4th cycle but luck doesn't seem to be with us! I am hoping that changes!

Yes I had a 2 day transfer on Friday and had two embies put back. They didn't want to push past the 2 days as unfortunately we only got 3 eggs in total. I feel like it has been very close to the egg collection though and still getting a lot of cramps - had real bad ones yesterday. Back to work tomorrow so hoping it feels ok. Trying not to think about symptoms etc as will send me mad! X

Of course you wouldnt want to be on a 4th cycle, it must be so tough . I really hope your luck changes though and this is the cycle.

Ah so you had egg collection on Wenesday? I know you would of preferd a later transfer, are you pleased they put back two?

I understand what you mean about the short space of time between e.c and e.t for the bloating. Im am still bloated today and had cramping in the early hours, really hoping it goes by today as i might get called in for transfer tommorow. They are aiming for Wenesday though I really hope its then to have time for things to settle down.

Yes had EC on Wednesday. For us this was the worst cycle yet - we normally get 6 eggs or more but only got 3 this time - my body just didn't react to the drugs as well as had hoped.

So we had one top quality and one medium quality transferred - definitely wanted to do both to try and give ourselves the best chance.

I think the further they can push them the better for you - is def good if your body can get a break. Last cycles I have taken time off to chill after transfer but have used this weekend and going to go straight back to work - will take my mind off if it and figure can't harm. Although with the snow on its way I may be at home anyway! X

Awww i can see why you feel disheartened if your used to getting a higher number of eggs. But 3 can still give you a Chance im glad the embies are back in ,in a way as safe and its great they are top quality and medium. Have you had two put back in previous cycles?

You said you didnt respond as well to the drugs this time i know that must be disappointing. Your body has been through a lot in previous cycles so try to take care of yourself and do the things you enjoy (as much as you can in tww) you deserve it.

Hopefully this time round going back to work for tww will distract you enough, as long as you enjoy your job of course. And if not the snow will be a blessing in disguise

I had two put back in second frozen cycle but they were not of great quality so I guess is a little different.

Yes I am trying to keep my brain active but also give myself treats so that I don't feel too much like I can feel the wait! My to do list is going to get a lot ticked off! X

Ok hope that wasn't too personal to ask about putting two back in previously. not wanting to raise your hopes you have two of medium and top quality in this cycle ,that works in your favour. After 3 cycles though i can understand your reservations. Xx

Thank you - I really appreciate the chat. Of course not too personal - is nice to be able to talk about it. My OH keeps talking about twins - is exciting I guess but I worry about getting hopes up. Is only 5 days since EC! X

Oh bless him it is exciting for you both and its lovely hes optmistic. I imagine its a worry for you though him getting his hopes up.

Hubby is convinced it will work this time . its our first go. Some of my hubby family knows and talking about it being triplets (?) and the sex of baby(s)

As you say it is early days just try to keep as neutral as possible ( easier said than done i know!) not negative so your thinking its not worked. Not positive in the way your convinced it has. Just calm and good thoughts ,thats what im going to do anyways.
It is defiantly nice to chat and get it off your chest, such a difficult subject for those to understand not going through it.

I best try to sleep. Nervous of the call coming from the hospital tommorow to go in for transfer . And nervous if it doesn't as then we wont have any further updates until we go to hospital Wednesday! Argh the tention!

Ah thanks user im worried as woken up still in discomfort in my tummy . also just looked out the window ,snow! First thing i said was oh crap. Lol.

I am hi jacking... sorry and good morning.

We are on day 5 after having 2 5AA put back. They were frozen. This is our third go.

I have had very light pinkish blood when I have wiped a couple of times yesterday and this morning on my second toilet trip. It's not flowing... and I can feel my tummy but not like period pain... just that's it's there - although it's prob in my head.

Anyone else had this? Would it be implantation bleed?

They called ! They said there are two standing out as the best ones and they think its safer to transfer today.

I have told them im not feeling too good still, they want doctor to assess me so defiantly want me in today.

Me and hubby had always said if we can get to blastocyst were both happy to put the one back in and count on the one.

Were now thinking if there's two that are of good quality ( they didnt say) to put two back in. Hubby not keen on freezing any remaining as thinks we wont need it. And if we dont have sucess then he dosnt think we would do this again as not financially plausible sadly.

So much to think of!

Oh no i hope its not too heavy the snow!

I dont think i posted on here after i got the call for fertilization to say out of the 8 eggs collected 6 fertilized !

I wish we could know what ones were of what quality and how many are left over to decide all this before.

I think if none can make it to blastocyst i wonder if its worth freezing them if there less likely to survive the thaw. Hard to know .

Hi MrsMidge! I would say that really sounds like implantation but could also be due to pessaries if you are using those? X

Most defiantly a shock to the system herewegoagain as I work for a train company on the trains so I am basically outside all day 😂 and it’s just started snowing so today I am not looking forward to going in 😂. I hope you are feeling ok today. Xx

I wanted to give you my thoughts because there’s an 80% chance of survival from that so it’s pretty good and FET is less invasive than fresh. We had a successful FET with one high quality embryo from day four transfer.

For others there is an interesting article last year on one vs 2 for transfer that helped us decide as we only had 2 embryos (both frozen, both the same high quality)

Our clinic recommends one embryo too so we thought it literally would be “all eggs in one basket” if we put both back so we thought we’d give ourselves 2 tries but we were very fortunate and the first worked!

Are there storage fees if you get pregnant from the first one? Ours we will have to pay £250 per year once our child turns 6 months but we feel it’s worth it & we didn’t want embryos to “fight it out!” But that’s just our thoughts.

They recommend 2 for ppl over 40 though and apparently it does lead to c10% higher chances of “a pregnancy” so it depends if you can’t go again then maybe that comes into play? It’s so hard, we took ages deciding!

I know, it’s too early for symptoms but my god u keep trying to explain every single fart. Feel pressure today, not sure what this means. No pain all this time 🙄🙄 where r the implantation cramps?? And felt dizzy at work today a little. But then maybe it’s lack of sleep 😴
