Hey @Minster2012 great news on having another go? What is AMH that you are low on? I actually don't think that was the letters you typed but I can't click back on the post to see without losing this!! I can believe how easily I stab myself nowadays compared to when I was first given the pens! I couldn't believe how big that needle was - even my husband looked a bit pale and he was trying to be super supportive! Hope AF arrives quickly so you can crack on! xx

@swimchick1980 yay! It's all happening so fast. Egg collection is fine as Minster said - make sure you are drinking tons of water now to avoid any potential bloating or soreness.

And my top advice - whatever you do, don't order a pizza afterwards! Nothing that makes the bloating worse.

Ps I just had my NHS appt and they offered me ISCI just like that, no waiting list! Can't believe it. I was expecting to be turned away as over 40. Feeling quite excited

I actually want to murder DH though. When i told him the "good news", he hugged that it would interfere with his travel arrangements and now we have our time for surgery, he moans that he told me he was working. Wtaf does he want me to do. Just say oh well, we won't bother then after all this money and stress. I will try not to kill him before Friday, but i can't make any promises....!

@ivyf your AMH is an indicator of the amount of follicles (so eggs) you have in you, as we women are born with our life’s supply of eggs at birth but it gradually decreases with age they use it to see what they think you have, “normal is 15-20 for my age” mine is 2.1 🙁 so it shows a very low egg reserve likely killed by my treatments over the years & their potential to respond to the IVF drugs.

However, my friend is growing a baby for us from 1 of the 2 embryos we managed to make last time so I still have hope but you can imagine why I burst into tears last year!

@janefx40 that’s brilliant news!! And good advice on the pizza! I ate scrambled egg and again not a good idea as I ended up constipated!!

@swimchick1980 DH’s are dicks I realised. My DH said similar, “god that’s the WORSE DAY POSSIBLE” as his number 2 & 3 beneath him we’re both off so no one could cover him, then he went “do I have to be there?” Errrrr “your sperm is needed love or shall I ask some random guy off the street????” So he came for that, took me home & my parents then had to look after me as he went back to work to hold the fort. I mean are these blokes for real....remind them that this is the TOP PRIORITY!!

Swimchick EC is not as scary as it looks. U asleep and don’t feel pain. Me personally fainted next day, little sore but no real pain. You will be just fine 😘

Jane yay, great news. When they say with no waiting list, how fast is it going to happen? I am feeling ok,working hard and been going out a lot, eating and drinking naughty things while I can 😅😅. Was googling all this “pineapple and good foods things” for fet but I am not sure I can keep up with it 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Just going to be normal, it will happen if it meant to be

It’s great you going ahead so soon, as you say, your chances not particularly great but hey, you have you baby growing and it will be nice to have a few more, but I get it how it’s less pressure. @swimchick1980 mine's just been vile if it's any comfort. Massive fight then he's gone to sleep. He insisted he wanted to TTC in between cycles even tho I really wanted a break given our chances of natural conception and so low anyway. Last night said he was too tired and we should DTD tonight. He made no time for it tonight, sat there ignoring me doing a crossword until 10:45 then got cross and refused whole idea. I could scream - winds me up then let's me down

Will admit to being slightly vile back by forcing myself to stay awake on my phone with the light on just to annoy him. Of course half of me is hoping he will wake up and make up. But mostly am just being difficult

Oh no @Janefx40, that is not good. They really can be so annoying sometimes. I can't tell you how many times we had similar fights when TTC naturally. They can be so frustrating sometimes all the time

Swimchick Good luck for EC on Friday!! I was terrified before mine but honestly it was fine. I love the drugs! The next day I was bloated and sore (period pain style) but nothing a hot water bottle and some paracetamol couldn’t fix. Exciting!!

Ivy Have you started jabbing yet? Do it quick, that’s my advice! Deep breath in, hold it, stab and voila! Slow is more painful. And you feel impelled to look lol.

Star We booked a week in Portugal! Just a cheesy touristy place. Flights to Corsica were way too expensive :( That place looked stunning though!!

Alyona ET tomorrow eakkkkkk! how exciting tbh I made sure I kept drinking water, I did have pineapple but for 1 day and POM juice ..hated the beatroot juice erghhhhh! Your so right what will be will be darling and I EVERYTHING crossed for you!!! xxx

swimchickEC is not as bad as you think, make sure you drink lots of water and I recommend prune juice (hate the taste but does the job if your feeling blocked up) just relax and chill. I will have everything crossed for you!

• I'll still very nervous, I've been testing everyday since and all are positive but I have zero symptoms so I am struggling a little as I think I should have some signs that I'm preggers.

However trying to block negative thoughts out and living in the moment for now until the viability scan on March 7th.

@Dbear35 enjoy it! Can’t believe you got your scan on 7th March again that seems so quick! Enjoy not feeling pregnant whilst it lasts...my friend started feeling sick after 6 weeks so it won’t last long!! 🙈

catherine hi welcome!! I don’t know what the sleek antibodies means but ivy was asking me what the AMH means so there you go ivy there’s a lovely AMH! Should be good Catherine! We got 2 high quality embryos last time & my friend is pregnant as a surrogate for us at the minute despite an AMH of 2.1 so yours sounds amazing!! There is much hope here!!

Was it rose or dinks that had the builders in? How’s that going?

In other news puppy gundog (gindog) that I got during transfer week in October last year when we started the thread is growing fast & still a big snuggle monster! I’m starting to do retriever training with her but the princess doesn’t like getting her paws wet on wet ground 🙈

Oh and don’t kill your OH’s before you have that vial!!

@minster2012 It is looking hopeful. It seems like so far I am ok and if I had picked another "man friend" it would have worked for me. I've worked out the numbers and it is cheaper for me to do the IVF than divorce him 🤣 Husband sperm is also great in terms of number of sperm mobility morphology. Our problem is there are antibodies on the sperm which means they stick together. It is really rare and probably due to mumps or injury when he was a baby. I've been told it only takes one sperm to make it but the chances are super low and the option is icsi. Only found out a week ago still in shock as we are both young fit and healthy and under 30. Just goes to show that life's a bitch
