A clinic in the Ukraine? I’d beware. There’s one that keeps posting here pretending to be infertile women/men/couples. It’s totally unscrupulous. We can all see through it. It only serves to put off potential clients.

Hello Ladies! All having good weekends?

My last period pre-IVF approaches. Have my menstrual migraine today bang on queue - that should mean period on Thursday. It's always a hard time every month even tho I know that I don't get pregnant naturally and I know that hopefully we're about to get underway with treatment

I'm also talking to my boss tomorrow about what I'm proposing re time off for IVF. She's not overly sympathetic so will just have to hope she agrees to what I am asking.

Anyway hope those of you who are pregnant (have pregnant best friends) are feeling ok and that the rest of you are feeling positive about what the future may hold. I will try to channel @Starlumiere and to stay focused.

I am starting my injections on Tuesday and spend week overthinking things..u spend month waiting for it to happen but when it does u panicking. But I am going away this Friday, so my head is overloaded with “what gifts to buy, to book parking, to do that and this”. So kind of good thing to happen otherwise I go crazy 😃

jane I hope your ok and the meeting with your boss went well? It’s hard for people to understand explaining all the appointment s and scans, blood tests etc. I hope the clinic isn’t too much of a journey for you? Ours is an hour each way.

Meet up on 20th jan at 1pm in LONDON venue TBC will be near a major train st. I’m trying to help the lady organising the event a venue. Hope you can make it star jane aliona (I know I’m going to keep asking)! Lol 😂

I’ve been ok...apart from lack of sleep and feeling bonkers in buserelin ! And dry skin omg it’s awful! Have my CS and progress scan tomz although think my transfer will be delayed as AF hasn’t turned up yet!

Also set up a seperate Instagram account for my ivf journey I wanted to keep it seperate from some people in my life and realised you can have multi accounts who knew!
Anyway if you on instangram then my name is ivfwarrior1982 come find me! If your not on instagram I recommend joining the community is great on there too!

Thanks @Dbear35 my boss was actually really nice. They've agreed to all the flexible working and time off although they won't give it to me as sick leave (I knew that was chancing it but thought I might as well ask!). But they won't commit to offering the same for future cycles as we're not yet sure what our workload will be then. That's understandable although obviously I'm going to do it anyway. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

We still have my flat in London (have someone living there but kept my bedroom there available these last few months in case of IVF!) so will be staying there during treatment. It's only about 30 mins to clinic on tube so should be ok although I don't really like staying in London (but I do know how lucky I am to have the option!)

Not sure about meeting up really. I think 70 women I don't know sounds a bit much for me at the moment. But keep me posted with the details anyway and thanks for organising

Hi, hoping to join your little group. I’ve read all your stories right back to the very beginning and I am amazed at how strong you all are! I’ve been referred for IVF as both my Fallopian tubes are blocked. Im 29 and everything else is perfectly fine. Mine boyfriend is all ok too. So it’s just me have been told to expect to start treatment around March time as there is no waiting list. Can anyone help with what happens in the lead up to starting injections?

Welcome @Liverpool19!!! What a journey you are about to embark sweetie, it is fascinating, albeit a few worries , but you will see you will be fine! 29 years old? OMG you are so young honey, you will get your baby, be strong and positive . Don’t worry about your tubes, you don’t need them for IVF. I take it is your first time right? Do you know if your will be on a short or long protocol? Is it a fresh cycle or FET ? In terms of preparation we are all different. For me I have done Fertility Reflexology for 1 year now, taking Folic Acid and an Ayurvedic Herb – Shattavari and sometimes Ashwaganda. Food wise, nourishing but lean. Lots of Exercise, but that’s always with me. Just have fun honey because it will be full on eventually – nothing bad at all no, just the injections +Scan + praying/hoping + EC + ET + Praying + 2WW – the process is quite demanding! Bless you

@Dbear I am here honey pie! Always it sounds like you are doing well there! Don’t worry about AF being late, just trust your body sweetie. I thought from my calculation I would ovulate today but according to my ovulation test I am at the low fertility stage, it has been 4 days now. What can be done? I miscarried so need to wait on my body to be ready again . I am trusting it fully. Soon enough I will have this flashy smile and will then be at my peak again! In the meantime I have just booked to work trip, since I can travel now. First destination Milan and then Naples. Not bad hey? Apart from that I am back at the gym and chilling, enjoying life.

starlumiere thanks for your reply! Yes this is my fresh first cycle so apprehensive to say the least! I’m not to sure on which protocol I will be on yet I’m waiting for my “pack” as my consultant called it to arrive in the post. Apparently I’m very fertile which is good news. I just need help to actually get pregnant
I’m in the gym 3/4 times a week so that should be ok and I do eat (most of the time) very healthy and yes 29 years old i don’t feel like a baby though haha.

Don’t feel young that was meant to say brain isn’t with it at the minute haha.

AF has arrived a day early so we're all systems go from tomorrow. Tests tomorrow then if all is ok tests and scans and meds on Frid.

How do I stop my Adrenalin going! Heart is thumping. Last tests my prolactin was raised due to stress so now stressing that they will be too high to start. It's such a circle!!!!

Hi all 👋🏼 Wrote a long post yesterday and somehow managed to delete it. Got annoyed and gave up 😅
So my first injection is done. Omg I couldn’t pierce my skin, I had a lot of attempts before the needle went through. Either I got extra fat and my skin now extra thick 😅 or needles are bland. Also got letter from hospital in case I have problem on the plane.
Having loads of things to do before Friday trip and it takes my mind of this big time. Of course non of the deliveries with gifts are here yet. Oh the joy of family visits 😅
What else been happening..went for a trial in the kitchen, so will know next week.
Created Instagram for the dog 😂 but not sure I am creative enough to attract followers, we will c

Jane happy your chat with boss went well. At the trial they were asking things and all I was thinking “god how am I gonna tell them I need appointments very soon”. Very stressful. As my councelling lady says “worrying is normal and the more u push it away the more it’s coming back in your head” she suggested whenever worry comes up-to write it down, accept it and set time in the evening when u can read it through and worry about it as much as you want. But don’t let yourself do it all day. Not sure if this can be working for me though 🤨
Dbear lol this meeting is too much for me 2z in fact attendance should have been confirmed by Tuesday.. and today is Wednesday.. so awww. Missed it 😂 Give up!! 😅

Ok..it’s soon 3am, I feel absolutely shattered, but I can’t fall asleep. In fact I am nowhere near it..Dbear..how r u supposed to survive this 3 weeks?!? 😭😭

@Aliona19 argh poor you. Sorry about the sleeplessness. How miserable for you! And about the blunt needles - nightmare.

I've been recommended "worry periods" in the past by a counsellor. It really can work. I've been trying it again recently. I usually say that I can worry during my commute to work but the rest of the day, when it comes back, I try to remind myself to wait. It doesn't work perfectly but it works a bit and can really help (I did great with it on Tuesday and forgot about it and spent all yesterday thinking about IVF and doing no work!)

Jane 😊 I am glad this method works for you, I can’t master it just yet. Yesterday she was trying to teach me meditation 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I am hopeless with this 😁

Also my memory is rubbish. First when doing EC I was with injections on the dot, same time each day. This one-keep forgetting every day and each one struggling to get the needle in. Really don’t get why.

@Aliona19 I can't meditate either! I know it would be good for me, but truth is, I don't want to - I find it boring and I love to think!

When I first moved to a new city years ago, I wanted to do some activities to make friends and I decided (goodness knows why) to go to a meditation class! A group in which no one speaks isn't really the best place to make new friends so it wasn't be greatest success of my life, I must admit!

Scan went OK ...being I have lining at 12.5!!

But that's bad as I need AF to come and get rid of it and my AF still hasn't arrived im 3 days late so the whole schedule has to be moved!! and I have to stay on bueselin until it comes !! I can't take any more sleepless nights or injections !!

Blimin hell the one time I want AF and she goes missing!! Had full on crying melt down at the clinic car park, in the waiting room and the scan room so embarrassed!

BTW I did do a test just to check and im not preggs

Meet up for 20th Jan date to hand your name is, is tonight at 8pm ...my DH is coming too bless him :( it will be in Chiswick LND at 1pm £20 for lunch and a drink .

@Dbear, I don’t think I will be able to make it since I need to be somewhere for 12pm and it is outside London. I will need to go to London later though, but in the evening. So I guess if you need to know now, I will say No I am afraid. Next time maybe?
I am sorry to hear you are struggling with the injections, bless you. Obviously they are doing what they are supposed to, and I am certain your body will do what it needs to do and AF will come, but it might need more time than planned that’s all sweetie. A plan is a plan, it does not mean it will be bang on, although it would be fabulous! You will be fine sweetie. I have lived in Italy so yes I have been to Milan and Naples. It will be nice to have a bit of a break. I am used to travel a lot so staying put is extremely challenging! Enjoy Saturday & hope you will get what you think you need out of it!

As for me I have an appointment with the Lead Consultant today at 5:30pm to plan for our next move. I am busy but also taking some time for myself. I feel more tired than usual and putting it down to my body trying to adjust to what just happened. Waiting patiently for my AF

So AF still hasn't arrived and I need her to come to get rid of the lining for me to build up another one (how ironic!) I've been googling how to bring on AF naturally so will be stocking up on ginger and pineapple. already rung the clinic this AM to see if there are any tricks ..sadly not!

Just so fed up really wanted to finish the bueserlin by end of the month...now looks like i'll be on it for another wk.

Had bloods this morning and scan. They said all looked fine tho one follicle is a bit large. Odd because I've been having ovulation type pain on that side too. Body has gone mad with the stress! Gave us meds and just waiting for a call with instructions. Oh and I have to have a hysteroscopy tomorrow or Sunday. That's me

Hi lovelies!

YES it is Friday!!

My appointment well and it is all system go for February. Following the same program, meds and all. So they will send me the prescription for me to get the meds in time to start next month. However I am still waiting for my AF so do have a few weeks ahead of all this, which is FABULOUS!!!! I am really enjoying myself with lots of plans, seeing friends and just feeling/being happy.

I am enjoying my Fertility Reflexology very much! Let's see what happens hey? But I am positive . It is sooooo good to get back to running and the gym! OMG I love it! Ladies we will all get what we want!

starlumeire our referral has been sent and I got a call from the hospital called yesterday to say that they are just waiting to give us a date to go in so to expect a letter Soon. I assume this is to learn how to do the injections etc? My consultant told me that March will be when “we can really get our teeth into it” to be honest we’ve not really been told much about the process yet. Am I right I’m thinking that you start on the first day of your period?
