Hi all. We're a group of first timers who've been plugging away on the conception boards for some time. The support here is amazing so if you're in a similar boat please jump onboard.

Time to hand hold through treatments and support each other through to becoming the mums we deserve to be 💪🏼🌸🙏🏼

lemony sorry about the resuls but I have heard loads of encouraging stories of magic potion improvement

Exactly - no need EVER to apologise on here mouse

jamon glad your in laws are in the know and you feel like a weight has been lifted
I am so excited that you are about to start treatment!!! Not sure how they can book you in for the baseline already - unless it will be a withdrawal bleed?
Anyhoo looks like we will be cycling at roughly the same time!!!!! My baseline will be around 10th!!!
You can do other stuff though right? 🙈

basset you know my opinion on this already but FFS I cannot believe you have to wait so long 😡😡😡

So news on TTC front

  • they collected 16 eggs, 8 have fertilised and they will let me know how many make it to blastocyst on Monday or Tuesday

So news on Puppy front:

  • got told off by a breeder for contacting her at the same time as contacting another breeder FFS
  • hope this faux pas does not put us on a blacklist
Jamon · 26/10/2017 20:03

So happy things are moving for you Jam know it must have seemed like such a long time coming but it's on! And definitely must be weird not to be shagging!!

jam those are some great distractions! Hope they do the trick.

Good news on winding down the thyroid treatment basset

Am not really a POAS type, otters - will just wait and see. AF due middle of next week and fully expect it, in any case. Packing sanitary products for holiday as we speak...

flora lovely to hear from you, but sorry you're struggling - how do you feel about the counsellor and the advice? I hope it feels less raw soon xxx

KerryLeanne84 · 26/10/2017 23:15

Hey ladies! Sorry I’m not around much, busy time with the house buying.

chlo - it’s my third iui so I feel fine about it. The first was weird. The injections are literally nothing though and I don’t get side effects from the dose of fsh I’m on. Just trying not to get too hopeful!

kwick · 27/10/2017 07:47

Happy Friday everyone!!!!

Today my nephew comes back all stinky winky from a camping trip and willl be told about visiting a potential puppy on Sunday!!!!!!!

OverinaFlash · 27/10/2017 09:26

Happy Friday! I wish I was gettting a pet! I'm still desperate for cats, I've decided, next bigger house, I am going to do it, as I can keep them more out of DH's way so he can't complain as much.

Friday positives:

-Tonight DH and I are sitting down to book the GP appointment, roll on the next phase!
-It's a gorgeous sunny autumn day.
-MIL was round for dinner last night so I cleaned the house before she arrived, which means I only have to do ironing this weekend!
-I've got the next couple of weekends at home so I have lots of time to write.

Speaking of writing, I'd like to run an idea past you, I'm planning to write a fiction book about a group of women like us, who form a group that meets up in person, and kindof charts their respective journeys through TTC, fertility, infertility etc. If I ever get around to actually writing enough of it, would anyone be willing to be a harsh but fair critical reviewer at various stages?

geeup · 27/10/2017 09:29

Hi all. Sounds like loads of progress.
@kwick great news about the fertilisation rates!
@KerryLeanne84 - good luck with the forthcoming IUIs
Congrats @otters2017 on being PUPO
Good luck to everyone starting downregging and keep on trucking everyone still doing the old fashioned method - everything still to play for. Sorry if I missed anyone - am on my phone and can't scroll!
Things I'm positive about this Friday:

  1. Had a really good fun shag last night after a bottle of wine and a cocktail (and hit the big O before DH which has to be a good thing right!). As it happens had a positive opk this morning but that's coincidence more than anything - just good getting back to sex for fun instead of because we have to.
  2. AF due 10/11 and then scratch and downregging day 21 for my FET. Medical help is round the corner after a bloody long wait again. Feeling hopeful for us all. We've got this. Even if it takes bloody ages, it's happening. Sending gratitude out into the universe to all those men and women who did the research and training to create these methods.
  3. Nice weekend planned of seeing family, a charity run, fireworks party and working on our garden. Let's hear yours ladies!

We cross posted @OverinaFlash - loving your Friday positives!! I'm a writer too and am several chapters into a book about a group of women facing different challenges, but one of them is struggling with infertility!! Would happily help read/feedback on yours and vice versa if you're up for it (but im months of sharing - early days!!). So good to get infertility into the general vernacular and become less taboo I think.

geeup · 27/10/2017 10:25

Yours are fab too @Lemonylem !! Lovely to have a good catch up with a friend who knows you inside out.

MouseLove · 27/10/2017 11:07

Well it’s wedding day!! 👰 🎩

Just had breakfast out with my sister and brother in law since it’s his birthday too. I did start very lightly spotting yesterday, it’s still very weird, dare I say it kinda looks like dirt? 🤔

BUT my Friday positives are...

  1. I’m 11DPO muther fuckers!!!!!! 😎 And that’s a positive on my 9 day luteal phase. I’m really hoping acupuncture has something to do with it. And when AF comes, I’m mentally prepared now. I really thought this cycle was it. I ovulated on CD15 Which is the earliest in 8 months and my luteal phase is longer than usual so maybe this is the start of something good. I would absolutely love to be pregnant again by NYE Which is when we found out last time.

  2. I’ve booked myself a pedicure for next weekend and then its acupuncture the Monday after.

  3. Got a phone call during breakfast to book my ultrasound scan!!! Could have got me in on Monday!!! 😳 But decided next Sunday would work better for me. So quick!!!!

  4. I’m wearing a dress today. I own 2 dresses. This one and my wedding dress. It’s a big deal lol.

Also, thank you ladies. Honestly don’t know how I would cope without you. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you. I am sooooo up for reading your books. I read a lot. Usually smutty stuff so feel free to slide anything my way 😂😂😂

Jamon · 27/10/2017 11:29

Thanks flora and for everyone elses good wishes. You are all so lovely.

Someone on instagram told me her friend got pregnant whilst down regging and baby was fine. Hmmmm. Some googling shows this does happen. I might see what DH thinks about a final shag or two this week... I feel like the Law of Sod could play a part here. It doesn't feel like we have much to lose.

With IUI they say the likelihood of success is cumulative don't they kerry - or that you need a few throws of the dice. Really hoping your number comes up with your third go.

Lovely positives flash - it really is a gorgeous day. The writing idea is lovely and I would be really keen to proof read. Might even have a go myself!

gee love a good fun shag and thank goodness we can still have these after the long-term TTC sex drive killer! Yes - mega shout out to the IVF pioneers. I was chatting to my mum last night about her BIL who was infertile and how much pain my aunt and uncle both went through - with little to no fertility treatment to turn to

lemon I salute your positivity. That's lovely your best mate is so kind and supportive. I've started a Christmas list too!

mouse loll you are funny :) AMazeballs LP. And amazeballs attitude. Have fun in your dress today give it a good twirl or two. Who's wedding is it?

Having a good Friday too over here. I'm working from home - always a winner. Had my first Ocado shop delivered by the friendliest delivery man ever. I've got a couple of pumpkins to carve up and display - got a bit of insta carving research ahead of me!

I've got acupuncture at 6, and a nice quiet evening in with the cat. I'm also going to bake as I've got some really lovely friends coming over for lunch tomorrow - they all know what we're going through and offer the a nice amount of support without prying or being ott. One of them is bringing her lovely little 6 month old boy - who she conceived in her early 40s following a miscarriage. Sunday our absolutely lovely next door neighbours are coming over for Sunday tea, so more nice food, chats and games. A really nice weekend ahead!

My friday positives are
1- i dont need a filling this visit to the dentist
2- ive joined a ladies only gym and got my induction visit this afternoon Shock
3- the weather today has put me in a good mood, clear crisp blue sky!

I am also hoping I can pick up my new prescription later too.

Everyone else’s sounds fab. Mouse that dress looks lovely. Definitely needs a good dance and twirl in it.

KerryLeanne84 · 27/10/2017 14:00

Thanks jamon and geeup for the good luck wishes! great work on the orgasm gee!

Flash - does oh not like cats? Mine bring so much laughter to our lives 😻

OverinaFlash · 27/10/2017 14:51

DH has a total pet aversion sadly kerry! He likes animals, but not in the house (that's what he says about it anyway!). I've told him that when we have a bigger house, I will be getting cats and if he doesn't like it he can divorce me, which was met with a sortof irritated grumble and then nothing. Lol.

I'm so excited for the IUIers and IVFers, I'm keeping everything I can crossed for all of you.

KerryLeanne84 · 27/10/2017 16:18

Flash I BET that if you brought home two adorable kittens his not liking animals would evaporate pretty fast! 😻

Jamon · 27/10/2017 16:20

Oh god flash yes get some kittens. We’re both so obsessed with our cat he brings us so much joy !

Ok so my Friday positives:

  1. Have left work early to meet belived nephew after week long camping trip!!! He does not know about potential puppy yet!!!
  2. I have one less day to wait to hear about my embryos
  3. I managed to sort through ny hanger situation (after seeing on many YouTube wardrobe organisation videos that you should use all the same hangers)
kwick · 27/10/2017 17:02

Oops BELOVED nephew!!!

MouseLove · 28/10/2017 07:24

Wedding was lovely yesterday. Had a really nice day. Got home very late and was awake very early 😕 today is CD1 cycle 14. I spotted very lightly (didn’t leave anything on a liner at all) all day yesterday and in the afternoon on Thursday. It means I had an 11 day luteal phase!! Have to be pleased with that haven’t I. Bit sad as I got a little hopeful when my spotting didn’t get any heavier. 😢
Even DH asked if it could be implantation.

Kwick we need some puppy pics when you go see them!! We don’t have any pets here. I’d feel guilty leaving them at home all day and I don’t think I’d deal well if they got poorly or anything. Plus DH is allergic. So we just adopt our friends and neighbours pets. 😂

Basset (and anyone else taking meds) would highly recommend “Echo Pharmacy” app and service for prescriptions. They’re amazing. Free delivery right to your door. I’ve been using them since February. Just added my folic acid to my reorder list by scanning the barcode. They are based in London. www.echo.co.uk

Jam it was DHs ex band mate. He now plays board games with him every Thursday. Weirdly worked with his wife too recently. It was a lovely day. Food was all homemade too by the chapel staff.

Good luck to everyone starting downregging, forgive me but I have absolutely no idea what that is. Haha! 😎

@WingingIt83 how you doing hunny??? Xxxx
