Thanks gands in the waiting room now. Will update later.

Ktmp · 22/06/2017 16:04

Rubbish news about your smear otters! Could that be affecting chances?

Keep us updated about your appointment! I have no idea what will happen at my next one so would be good to compare.

otters2017 · 22/06/2017 20:10

The clinic appointment went well. The dr is very nice. He said the smear result is top priority. They are pre cancerous cells and need treating. I need to wait 6 weeks after treatment which is a bummer before I can start ivf. They may or may not start treatment next week. If I need a biopsy it will take longer as need to get results then back in for treatment. So could be looking at 2-3 month delay depending on what the colposcopy shows and what needs to be done. He's already given me the prescription for ivf drugs and instructions to ring nurse etc when I'm ready to start.

I'm still hanging on to hope that this cycle ends in a BFP but it's too early to test, only 2dpo now!

gands88 · 22/06/2017 20:47

Otters glad the app went well. Bummer about the delay but like you said it's better to be safe then sorry, deffo need to get that sorted 1st.

Fingers crossed 🤞 you get that BFP
Keep us posted. Keep positive!

otters2017 · 22/06/2017 21:08

Thanks gands really hoping for the best case scenario. All so stressful! Glad you're feeling more positive. Onwards and upwards Smile

Day 7 - back on the bding journey 😂

How is everyone?

gands88 · 23/06/2017 21:02

Almost bding time here too ktmp 😂

Can I ask, how much do you guys think stress has a part in not getting a bfp?

Hope your guys all going ok?

Ktmp · 24/06/2017 07:35

My friend is always advising me to try and relax more as she thinks stress is a major factor. Unfortunately I have a massively stressful job so there's not that much I can do.

Personally I'm not convinced about how big a part it plays in my case as there have been many months ttc when I've not been stressed at all and still nothing has happened.

otters2017 · 24/06/2017 23:17

Hi, how's the weekend been for everyone so far? I went out last night for a friend's birthday which was great. Been sorting out house stuff today and baking for guests tomorrow as we're hosting afternoon tea for about 12 people.
I'm still stressing about my colposcopy next week and obsessively symptom spotting wondering if I'm going to get my miracle BFP this month.
Good luck ktmp and gands for upcoming FW.

gands88 · 25/06/2017 00:03

Hey ktmp yeah I have also been told the whole stress thing by many people. My job was very stressful also but I was lucky enough to be able to make the decision to go part time to half that stress. It's been 7 months now (only 1 on clomid though) and like you said still nothing. Thought it would be interesting to see what you girls would say on the matter.

Hey otters weekend gone good, very productive! Gardening etc lol glad you had some chill time at the birthday party. Enjoy entertaining tomorrow and hope all goes well next week 👍 and as always fingers crossed for you.

Hope you both are good and have a good positive week ahead.

Blondienut · 25/06/2017 00:18

Hello all, joining in as in my first clomid cycle. Can I ask did any of you have a really short period on it. I'm
Taking itD2-D6 and by day 3 my period had stopped-unheard of for me. Had a really heavy period last cycle post hycosy and then this period arrived early. Just not the norm for me!

Ktmp · 25/06/2017 20:20

Hi Blondie! Welcome! I did have quite a few shorter AFs on Clomid. Some of them started to slow down by day 2. It didn't affect my overall cycle length too much though.

Ktmp · 25/06/2017 20:26

Hello otters and gands! Where did everyone else go?!

My weekend has been pretty chilled. Hopefully the last really stressful week in work for a while. On countdown to my holiday and already decided that after this month I'm going to take a break from temping and using the monitor. This is primarily due to wanting to just enjoy my holiday but also to try and switch off from it all a bit more. Still panicking a bit about the next consultant appointment but trying not to focus on it too much.

Otters how would a bfp affect the plans that they have suggested after your smear? Such a rubbish thing to happen.

gands88 · 25/06/2017 20:54

Welcome Blondie! Yeah I had the same thing, a lot shorter then usual, I've just finished my 2nd lot of tablets and af was longer then usual this time so a bit hit and miss? Hope you strike lucky 1st time round!

Hey ktmp glad you had a good weekend! Where you off to on holiday? We have been planning ours today! We try not to let Bding take over on holiday but it's hard not to when you got so much time on your hands 😂

Hope your ok otters?

Ktmp · 25/06/2017 21:15

We're off to Corfu gands! Only booked it a couple of weeks ago. Desperately need a break. We didn't have a summer holiday last year as we got married and bought a house so couldn't spare the extra cash. Can't wait for some sun!!

Where are you thinking of going?

Jamon · 25/06/2017 21:43

Hi girls how are you all doing?

Just started my second cycle on clomid. I took 25g for five days last cycle and it played havoc with my mental state. I was extremely emotional and low, at times hysterical and totally inconsolable... so I'm feeling apprehensive about taking it again! I'm just bloody desperate though. I feel like I'd do anything to get pregnant.

Taking 50g this time so am bracing myself for the crazies to come. Hopefully this time I will be better prepared!

otters2017 · 25/06/2017 21:54

Hi everyone. Seems like only a few of us are active on this thread not sure what happened to everyone else.

gands glad your job is less stressful now. Hope the clomid works for you! Where are you planning to go on holiday?

ktmp glad you had a chilled weekend and so envious of your upcoming holiday. Good idea to take a break from monitoring and just enjoying your holiday. I'm not see how a BFP will affect me now - from what I've read a colposcopy is safe in pregnancy including a biopsy. It's the treatment that isn't. In the leaflet it says if you are pregnant they usually advice to wait till after giving birth to have treatment. Not sure if it applies when to all stages or later stages of pregnancy. Will definitely ask the clinic when I get there. I've been trying hard not to stress but I just can't help worrying and have been dreaming about getting a BFP the last few nights. Clearly my subconscious working overtime!

Welcome blondie clomid can thin your lining so some people have shorted periods but it's only whilst you're taking the drug. Good luck with your clomid cycle. What CD are you ?

jamon hope the 50mg works for you and you don't get the terrible side effects!

gands88 · 25/06/2017 22:20

ktmp ahhh wicked! Never been Corfu would love to go 👍👍 weather gunna be sooo nice for you as well I bet 🌞
We looking at going Las Vegas 🙈 we went for our honeymoon 3 years ago so thought it would be nice, we loved it there. A bit extravagant but we are thinking sod it! Oh yeah I know how you feel about being skint after wedding, we did the same thing as you, house and wedding at the same time, must be mad lol

Hi Jamon i have also just started my 2nd cycle, stomach is feeling really strange with the tablets this month but just going with it. I have have mood swings but nothing as major, I'm not usually emotional at all to be honest and just recently I find myself crying at all sorts, the best one was Bruce's price is right 😦
Hope the 50gm is it to harsh on you.

Hey otters, yeah work is deffo more manageable thank god. Hope you get the answers you want when you go. Keep positive 😊...hopefully going Vegas 🌞

otters2017 · 26/06/2017 07:06

gands ooh love vegas! Would love to go again with DH this time. We were talking about a big holiday San Fran, LA, vegas but TTC hasn't gone to plan so now we are focusing on that and all holiday plans have gone out the window! I feel the need to save £ and annual leave but at the same time am desperate for a holiday!
I'm having a blood test today to check if I ovulated or not 🤞

gands88 · 26/06/2017 07:53

Otters yeah we love Vegas it's amazing! This will be our last blow out especially if we have to go down the ivf route in a few months. It's hard to plan when your going through fertility treatments 😒 maybe you should have a week in the UK, everyone needs a break.
Oooo fingers crossed for your blood test 🤞keep us posted.

Jamon · 26/06/2017 08:16

Gands Bruce's price is right Grin that's a new one on me. My tummy is upset too. Plus I now seem to get insomnia too - does anyone else get that?

I am not very well suited to clomid at all I don't think!

Can sympathise with planning holidays and trips. This year I qualify for a 6 week paid sabbatical from work. It's almost impossible to plan anything as we don't know if we will be having treatment, we could be pregnant etc. I've found myself thinking about where I would be okay to go if I had a miscarriage - which seems ridiculous but really could be so awful if we were off the beaten track somewhere.

gands88 · 26/06/2017 09:20

Jamon I know! I thought the same thing ConfusedGrin but I was expecting ups and downs with my hormones lol. Haven't really had insomnia a bit of tossing and turning before AF but that's normal for me.
My mind wonders about all sorts too, it is crappy. Would be nice to have a trip to look forward too though I'm sure. Get yourself down the travel agent and get the feelers out 👍

Blondienut · 26/06/2017 14:45

Thanks for welcomes ladies. Totally feel your frustration with planning holidays, breaks or just about anything. Everything is a wait, wait for period to come, wait for period not to come, wait to get bloods on this day, wait for this appointment blah blah blah!!!!!

I'm on 50mg D2-D6 - on day 5 today and having a scan tomorrow to check follicles! I'm only going to try a couple of cycles of this as have a very low AMH so consultant has advised moving on to ivf sooner rather than later. I'm still holding hope that I won't have to go down that route.

The clomid is making me feel a little nuts- like I'm very premenstral and my eyes are sore! Nervous for tomorrow's scan - are you guys getting follicle tracking too? I gather not everywhere offers it.....

So good to be able to chat

Ktmp · 26/06/2017 19:14

Ooo lots to catch up on!

Gands I love Vegas! Funnily enough it's 6 years exactly since I was last there as my brother got married there. Always said I need to go back as a week being bridesmaid and planning everything meant I didn't really experience it! Bet you'll have an amazing time!

Hello to everyone! Like Blondie said, nice to be able to chat about all these things going on!

otters2017 · 27/06/2017 08:55

So my progesterone level has come back as 24 Sad disappointing as was hoping for >30 especially since I had the injection! Looks like it's going to be ivf for us. Just hope that my colposcopy is normal so there's no more delays.

blondie it is good to chat on here. Let us know how your scan goes. Are you having nhs or private treatment? Follicle tracking seems rare with the nhs but depends where you live.
