Hi everyone. Sorry been offline for a bit. Obviously gutted that clomid hasn't worked. Really really scared about testing as just can't face another bfn. Cd 27 today and no symptoms of anything. Decided not to test until cd31 if af hasn't arrived as my cycles are usually 28-30days. Had a busy bank holiday weekend with family visiting which was nice.

ktmp I've got no experience with mid cycle bleeding so I'm afraid I can't be of any help. I have read all about implantation bleeding as thought I had that a few times but of course it wasn't , just af about to rear its head!!

londonjam some ccgs don't fund ivf at all and it's just luck of the draw. We will consider options abroad but I am wondering whether it's more convenient here and being at home and having support. We haven't really researched it. We've decided to give ourselves one more cycle then ivf. Anyone has any recommendations?

Footy1 · 30/05/2017 20:42

Ktmp- really odd that you say about the mid cycle bleed as for a couple of cycles on clomid I was spotting straight after ovulation right up til AF. Not sure why though?
My periods on clomid were very light- almost could mistaken them for spotting. It's all a big mystery to me too! I have spotted around ovulation too so could just be the force of a big ripe juicy egg popping out.

Interestingly yesterday I had a smidge of pink cm but nothing since. I'm cd29 Startoday, but not sure when or if I ovulated!

Fingers crossed for you otters! Xx

Thanks Footy. It's all so confusing. Read some more on the clearblue monitor and got conflicting info about Clomid's effect on results. When I bought it everything I read said it was ok to use but now I've dug a little deeper and it's attributed to misleading results. This matches what I've experienced - loads of highs. Now it's not in my system all I'm getting is lows. Hoping I am actually ovulating. Surely more 'regular' cycles must mean something is happening?!

Day 29 is promising Footy!!! Also (in my vast Google knowledge) pink cm could be implantation? 🤞

otters2017 · 01/06/2017 07:16

How are things footy ? When are you testing? I read that clomid can thin your lining and therefore lighten your periods but didn't happen for me.
I'm cd29 today. No sign of AF yet and no symptoms of anything. Last month was a 30 day cycle so will wait till sat at least to test.

ktmp I read that about clomid and clear blue. I gave up in the end as I was getting endless smiley faces but no static smiley face. The sticks are also very expensive!

Londonjam · 01/06/2017 08:20

Does anyone have emotional side effects? I was absolutely mental last night. Screamed shouted cried for over an hour. Never normally like this.

otters2017 · 01/06/2017 10:38

londonjam sorry to hear about the terrible mood. I know it can cause mood changes. I was really lucky and didn't get any side effects. Then again it may be why it's not working ?! You can so easily drive yourself crazy with this! Hope you feel better today ❤

Footy1 · 01/06/2017 11:04

Otters still nothing my end! Cd31Star. Not very hopeful tbh as my temp was very low today so it's not looking good. No AF, and had another couple of smidges of pink cm again this morning but that's it. No cramps either? Not going to waste a test so going to wait for AF.

Kt, agree that the fertility monitor may not be very accurate on clomid.

Jam my mood is low, so probably the clomid doesn't help. I have been very emotional too. What day are u on?

Ktmp · 02/06/2017 23:30

Sooo was about to just reset the clearblue monitor now I'm not on any Clomid, and I'm pretty sure it hasn't really 'got to know' my cycles normally because of it, then today I've got the first high after 12 lows. Just to add more confusion I've just come home feeling a bit strange after a busy day, arriving later than I planned (and it's supposed to be a bd night) and I have egg white cm which I've never seen!! On cd20?! Managed to wake up DH and bd as planned! Hopefully I may actually see a peak tomorrow! 🤞

Happy weekend everyone!!

otters2017 · 04/06/2017 21:14

AF arrived today so I'm out this month Sad Really thought it was going to be our month but sadly not so on to cycle 4

ktmp did you get your peak?

footy any news your end?

Ktmp · 04/06/2017 21:28

Sorry to hear AF got you otters!! Stay positive, could all just be setting up for a successful month soon!

No peak yet, still high but did have a faulty test the next morning 😡 (first one ever). Did another one about an hour later and that was high as was today's. Only got one test left now anyway. Can't believe I've used 60 tests 😮!!

Still cautiously hopeful as things feel a bit strange and I'm hoping that the high readings could be an early sign (googled and it said high estrogen is needed in early pregnancy). Cd24 tomorrow so should know soon enough which way it will go.

Ktmp · 06/06/2017 19:27

Footy any news? Been thinking about you and hoping for a positive outcome 🤞

happybus28 · 08/06/2017 07:18

Hi all

Hope you don't mind me joining. Me and DH been TTC #1 for 18 months. I have a hormone imbalance which causes me to have very long irregular cycles and I have been prescribed clomid.

I am waiting for AF to arrive before starting with the clomid but it's looking like I'm in for a long wait...CD42 currently and no signs of AF. i don't think I've even ovulated. Last AF was 28th April. The longest I've gone with no AF is 4 months at the end of last year, I really hope it isn't as long again Sad Feeling so impatient right now just want to get started with clomid! I was thinking of ringing the fertility clinic and asking if they'd prescribe provera to induce a bleed but I'm a bit unsure?? Has anyone used provera for this? Does it work? Sorry such a long post! Thanks for reading Smile

Ktmp · 08/06/2017 16:56

Hello happybus!! Welcome!

I have never been prescribed provera but there are other ladies on this thread that have. On the break between having 50mg and being prescribed 100mg I actually had a 62 day cycle. I panicked at day 37 as my previous cycles had started to regulate to around 25/26 days after previously being 10-14. I saw my doctor who just laughed it off and told me to take pregnancy tests at day 42 and then day 49 and of negative just start the Clomid anyway.

otters2017 · 08/06/2017 19:20

Welcome happybus sorry I have no experience with provera so won't be able to advice

ktmp did you get your peak? What cd are you on now?

footy how are things?

How's everyone else? Thread has been quite quiet.

Ktmp · 08/06/2017 20:13

Hi otters! 👋 Hope you're feeling more positive again?

I'm now cd27. Few twinges and weird feelings but desperately trying to get my hopes up. FF app has now agreed with when I got ewcm and put that as my ovulation day so technically only 5dpo, and temps have steadily risen (after a really weird up and down month). Never did get my peak but couldn't do my last test as I had none left after the faulty one! Keeping my fingers crossed (again 😂).

otters2017 · 09/06/2017 17:14

ktmp yes feeling more positive as it's start of a new cycle and I've also booked a private appointment with ivf clinic in 2 weeks so something to look forward to. Just want to know I have a plan going forward.
When are you testing ? 🤞 for you!

Ktmp · 09/06/2017 19:38

That sounds like something great to look forward to otters!

Think I'll hold off until cd30 (Sunday) if AF doesn't show up first 🤞. Got a whole load of tests ready and waiting as I've got quite good at being patient in the last few months. Also cautious as FF has now put my expected start of AF as next Thursday due to the delayed ovulation(?) That would only put Sunday as 8dpo so not hopeful.

Ktmp · 11/06/2017 05:33

BFN for me this morning ladies 😢

Desperately telling myself it could be too early 🤞

Hope everyone else is doing ok?

otters2017 · 11/06/2017 10:40

Sorry to hear ktmp might be too early when are you due AF?
Nothing much to report here. Only cd 8. Patiently waiting for FW

Ktmp · 11/06/2017 14:40

Last two cycles have been 27 and 29 days. Had one random 65 day cycle before that and that was after a 31, 24 and 25 block. Today is day 30 and no sign at all of AF arriving.

Trying to remain hopeful as I've had some more obvious symptoms (lower back pain, blue veins prominent and heavy (.)(.) and extreme tiredness). Also had 1 1/2 days of light spotting and ewcm this month so praying all of that adds up to something more than an anovulatory cycle!

Ktmp · 11/06/2017 15:07

Just read a few Google threads to give me hope!!! 😂 Seems it's not too uncommon to get a late positive. Focussing on everything else possible to keep my mind off it. May give DH my tests and tell him dates I'm allowed to use them!

otters2017 · 11/06/2017 16:32

🤞 for you ktmp. Really hope it's your cycle!

user1496166342 · 14/06/2017 18:57

Hi all,

1st month on chlomid, coming up to my period and I don't think it's been successful, I feel heavy and have slight pains (but not the usual) I don't know if I feel different because I have a lot more/different hormones etc and it is my 1st month on the meds so I don't know if it just that.

Also I had the injection to start ovulation, for all you guys that have been on chlomid did you have to have the injection to start ovulation every month?

Any advice or words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

Thanks x

otters2017 · 14/06/2017 22:44

Hi user not sure if your symptoms are related to clomid or not. I was really lucky and didn't get any side effects. It's interesting that you have the injection as well - is it standard treatment where you are or did you have to ask for it? I'm curious as I really wished I had the injection with my clomid. I've begged and begged for it this cycle which is my 4th and last cycle so really hope it works. I have a scan tomorrow to check on follicle growth.
ktmp how are you doing?
How's everyone else? Not sure who else is reading the thread now.

gands88 · 15/06/2017 06:31

Hi otters2017 it's user, actually figured out how to change my username! Well I'm hoping it's a good sign that I feel a bit different but also I've had mood swings as well which have been fun especially at work lol. As far as I'm aware the injection is a standard thing, when I went for my last scan the doc said right you have produced follicles do you want to go ahead with the injection to start ovulation (as I don't ovulate at all) so obviously I said yes! And when the nurse came out to give it to me she said do you take it home and do it yourself so I said no I've never done it before you will have to show me so from that remark it sounds quite standard to me. But if I am unsuccessful this month I will see what happens next cycle and ask my doctor what's normal practice regarding the injection.

I really hope you are successful in you last cycle, have you chosen to do 4 cycles or is that what they recommend? Also can I ask have you gone private or NHS? (If your in U.K.)

Thanks for the reply it's all new to me just trying to get my head round it.
