IVF Cycle buddies November/December

I'm due to start the Short Protocol when AF arrives next week and I wondered whether anyone else was in the same situation and would like to join me? I'm pretty nervous about everything so would love to offer some support to others in the same situation and get some advice and support as well. You don't have to be on the Short Protocol of course - any other protocols welcome too!

To introduce myself am 41, been ttc for over 2.5 years and in that time had at least 1 chemical pregnancy and a miscarriage at 6 weeks. We get one chance on the NHS where we live and don't know if we'll be able to afford another go if this doesn't work so am feeling the pressure!

Merry Christmas cycle friends, I have been lucky to be a part of such a supportive group and I'd like to stick around for a bit longer xx

Hi ladies.
I tested yesterday...BFN. Been very emotional, guess this is the downside of testing so close to Christmas. Can't see it being a merry one. DH has gone out in an attempt to cheer himself up but I'm still not in the mood for socialising.

I have some news.. Although I have had zero symptoms.. I couldn't hold out until OTD so tested yesterday and got a BFP. Can not believe it and still worried due to having no symptoms, let's hope the bun bakes for the full nine months. Xx

I'm ok thank you. I'm obviously so grateful I got a BFP but still terribly anxious about it and keep expecting to lose it. There's been a lot of googling symptoms I'm afraid! Have our first scan end of next week - Im hoping if that goes well I'll be slightly more reassured although to be honest I'm sure this won't go away until at least the 20 week scan or maybe even after if we get that far... so pleased for you and hope you can be a bit more relaxed than me! X

Mrscrabtree good luck for your scan. I have read that waiting for the first scan is worse than the 2ww. Not long now though. Do let us know how you get on.

Happy new year all. I am back at home, having had a nice, relaxing time with family and friends. (And kicked back and enjoyed some much missed wine!)

Hi LoPI. I am still here. Sorry not looked st this thread for ages and just saw your message. How are you feeling? Have you decided to go for another round of IVF?

I am waiting to start my injections. AF due on Thurs so will see what happens. Feel pretty scared about it but at least something will be happening instead of waiting around.

Take care of yourself. Will look at this thread more often. Here if you want to chat.
