I'm due to start the Short Protocol when AF arrives next week and I wondered whether anyone else was in the same situation and would like to join me? I'm pretty nervous about everything so would love to offer some support to others in the same situation and get some advice and support as well. You don't have to be on the Short Protocol of course - any other protocols welcome too!

To introduce myself am 41, been ttc for over 2.5 years and in that time had at least 1 chemical pregnancy and a miscarriage at 6 weeks. We get one chance on the NHS where we live and don't know if we'll be able to afford another go if this doesn't work so am feeling the pressure!

Is anyone on the progesterone injections here?

LemonDrizzler · 14/12/2016 19:33

Goodthings I'm sorry you didn't have any to freeze. I know it would be nice to have the back up even though you have two on board. Try to be positive about the gradings - I have read so many success stories on here where people were worried about grade. It doesn't seem completely reliable. Sending positive thoughts.

Liberte glad you have no signs of OHSS. Looking good! Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

LoPl mrscrabtree and stand hope you're managing the stress of waiting to test! I bet you're second guessing every twinge!

Cityzen glad you are looking forward - that is a positive approach I'm sure.

No update today. Waiting for the call tomorrow. Confused The appointment next week is just a consultation so should know more about timings for the polyp removal after that. Bloody polyp! Angry

Standfree83 · 14/12/2016 20:13

Evening ladies, got a call from the lab this morning. Unfortunately 1 embryo can't be frozen but still holding out until tomorrow for the other 1 which is a slow developer.

Goodthings- sorry to hear that you haven't been able to freeze any this time. It's very frustrating but keep the faith that the 2 you have are the strongest ones.

Cityzen- sorry to hear about you rollercoaster journey. Fingers x for January, new year, new journey hopefully!

Lemon- Argh I'm second guessing everything and over analysing every twinge (most of them are probably in my head). So tempted to test early, eventhough I know it will be a waste of time, but the 23rd is so far away. Hopefully you will have the polyp removed soon.

Liberte- I'm definitely struggling with constipation. Any tips? I've tried drinking ridiculous amounts and increased my fibre intake but nothing has made much of a difference yet.

LoPI- wow testing Saturday must be exciting. This whole process has given me the biggest Head fucks of my life. I want to stay positive but can't help but think I could be setting myself up for a big disappointment.

Sorry for the long post!
Hope you are all well!!xx

LoPl · 15/12/2016 09:20

libertie - how are you doing? any update? (and sorry not on prog injections, taking the messy pessaries)

standfree - sending you good wishes for your remaining embryo. (and I bought myself a bag of dried fruit to snack on, which seemed to do the trick re fibre intake)

AFM, feeling pretty low this morn. Had light spotting overnight.... not taking it as a good sign given that AF would be due Sat (also OTD). If it gets heavier/redder in the next 24 hours I'm going to test. Fuck it.

Goodthingscome2those · 15/12/2016 09:52

LoPI, sorry to hear you spotting keeping fingers and toes crossed it's not AF.

Liberte, I'm on messy cyclogest too Confused

Stand, good luck with embie to be frozen.

Lemon, good luck with call.

Mrscrabtree, not long to go! How are you feeling?

I'm not as super depressed today thank his as I'm back in the office but have cramps which I'm hoping are cyclogest and not AF getting ready to turn up next week! Xxxx

liberte12 · 15/12/2016 09:56

Stand re constipation, mine seems to have cleared. I had ridiculous amount of smart water and also gatorade and lots of protein to avoid ohss. After EC I didn't go for a few days but now I'm going every day. It was painful to say the least at first coz I could literally feel my ovaries swollen but it seems to have gotten better now. I hear the progesterone injections make u constipated but I seem to ok right now unless it's not working and DH is injecting them elsewhere other than my backside!! Haha.

LopI don't worry re spotting, could it be late implantation? Some people get spotting throughout as far as I've read. Sending positive thoughts your way x

AFM sat at the clinic right now because I had to come in for blood test. Will update later xx

liberte12 · 15/12/2016 15:24

Hope everyone is well
I had ET and now in the 2ww, fingers crossed for us all xx

LemonDrizzler · 15/12/2016 15:36

Yay liberte congrats on being PUPO!

Glad you're feeling a bit better Goodthings.

LoPl sorry about the spotting. Has it got any better?

Got the call and we have one 10 cell and two 8 cell grade 1 embryos going into the freezer today! The last one hasn't developed so well so they are going to keep it out and see how it goes. I am SO relieved! :)

Goodthingscome2those · 15/12/2016 15:45

Liberte, that's great news congrats on being PUPO!

Lemon, great news too, is it day 3?

Xxx

LemonDrizzler · 15/12/2016 16:04

Yep day 3. Not sure why they don't wait until day 5 to freeze but they seemed to think it was better for some reason. It's such a weight off. Smile

liberte12 · 15/12/2016 16:09

Yay for ur frozen embies Lemon they will be waiting for u when u have had that silly polyp removed!! X

LoPl · 15/12/2016 16:48

Libertie yay for being PUPO and Lemon that's really great embie news.

AFM, I decided to test as OH was home today, and I just was getting more miserable with the spotting and cramping. As suspected BFN Sad. Fingers crossed you all have better luck. xx

Mrscrabtree · 15/12/2016 19:00

Oh no LoPI, I'm so sorry. That's shit. I don't know what to say other than thinking of you and hope you are looking after yourself CakeFlowers xx

Mrscrabtree · 15/12/2016 19:01

Great you're PUPO liberte and fab news on the embies Lemon Xmas Smile xx

Mrscrabtree · 15/12/2016 19:01

LoPl · 15/12/2016 19:17

Goodthingscome2those · 15/12/2016 19:25

LoPI, sorry thought I'd posted earlier, I'm so sorry to hear this, I hope you're bearing up as much as possible. Sending big hugs xxx

liberte12 · 15/12/2016 19:36

LopI so sorry to hear that, look after yourself, thinking of you x

LemonDrizzler · 15/12/2016 19:42

Really sorry LoPl. Hope you're ok. Glad OH is looking after you. X

LoPl · 15/12/2016 19:55

Thanks all. It's been a pretty shit day. Your support means the world. I feel so much less isolated than I did when we first started this process. It really has helped me keep sane. I'll hang around to see how everyone else gets on. xx

Standfree83 · 15/12/2016 20:29

Sorry to hear your news LoPI. Glad your husband is there to support you.

I also got a call today. The remaining egg was put in the freezer last night. Bit of a relief. Not really sure if I'm excessively bloated/ constipated or cramping today, such a weird feeling. Probably made worse by my imagination. Really hoping AF isn't lurking around the next corner!

Lemon, great news about freezing, embies will be ready and waiting once the polyp is gone.

Liberte, fingers x for 2ww. Hope you cope better with the waiting around than I do. Never knew I was this impatient!!

Mrscrabtree · 15/12/2016 20:43

Glad you're being looked after LoPI and I agree, it really does help having a group of buddies doesn't it? Hope you've got a relaxing evening planned.

Stand - great news about the last frozen embie! I think progesterone has a lot to answer for with all the weird symptoms x

liberte12 · 15/12/2016 20:51

Definitely especially when you haven't told family or friends like me. It's such a lonely journey so these forums are a God send xx

Stand, I haven't had any symptoms from progesterone so here's hoping it's something more than that for you. As for being patient.. Well it's been 7 hours and I'm wondering why I haven't had any side effects yet... It's going to be a long two weeks :( x

Mrscrabtree · 16/12/2016 12:20

Hope you are ok today ladies. At least it is Friday and hopefully you have a relaxing weekend ahead.

I have some good news... a very cautious BFP. I can scarcely believe it xxx

liberte12 · 16/12/2016 12:33

Omg Mrscrabtree that's great!! Yay!! So happy for you. Did you have any signs of implantation or any symptoms? I'm symptom spotting already! I bet you are over the moon xx congratulations x
