But at least I know where I am now. Clomid possible tomorrow or fri if the flow gets heavier. I'm an early ovulator so need to get it right.

Fig, lucky u were prescribed 150mg, they wouldn't give to me :(

Doom, possible could be too warm. My temps on clomid are much higher then when they are not. Dip u dip in temp the day before? I tend to dip day before Ov then spike. See if u get 3 high temps? Hope you haven't missed your chance. Really annoying when the men are not up for it! I get so mad with mine as he usually always up for it but as soon as it's a must that's it.. He's tired! Sod's law!

Hi everyone else, hope you are all well X

doomkittycleo · 16/11/2016 15:07

Angry Today I have started with ewcm so I probably haven't ovulated yet, but now DP informs me that he has been delayed on the way to a job down south so will be staying away overnight.

I don't want to tell him that I might ovulate early cus the pressure would probably stress him out, but it's hard not losing my temper when I'm feeling so irritable 😕

Footy1 · 17/11/2016 13:27

For me EWCM starts for a few days before ovulation so u might be ok.
Hope you catch the egg doom. I get fed up of trying to instigate and plan how I will bed my DH too. If I nag, he def won't be up for it. Can't wait till I'm upduffed so I can relax!

I always use pre-seed lube as although I get EWCM its no way as much as it use to be. Make ttc much easier Wink

Decided to take the clomid tomorrow as today is much more of a flo of blood than yesterday. Terrible AF time.
Hope everyone ok.

Figroller · 17/11/2016 18:12

Hi all, hope everyone is ok.

Good luck on starting your clomid footy, hope AF is not too bad for you.

How are you feeling today doom and has your dh returned yet?

Been for my second scan today, cd 9 and it was better news this time. I now have 2 mature follicles, one on each side, so been told dtd every other day. Still have the large cyst but she said that will just go on its own.

ReadyForAcuppa · 17/11/2016 18:36

I used clomid And the result was a canx iui as 7 eggs popped thankfully I ignored the advice of no ttc at home which resulted in my beautiful twins who are 5 at christmas! good luck all - Please take care if ignoring advice it can result in multiple pregnancy of alot more than 2!!!

doomkittycleo · 17/11/2016 19:28

I'm feeling a bit better Fig thanks 🙂. DP is on his way back as we speak. We have had confirmation that we are moving house next Friday so pretty excited.

Still not BD'd yet this month, but opk's are still negative so hopefully will have plenty of time.

MmmMalbec · 19/11/2016 09:16

I've started my first cycle of 50mg this morning. I'm taking it day 2-6. When do you all start to BD? I'm paranoid about missing it seen as I have no idea when I might ovulate? My first scan is on cd11 so I'm thinking it would be wise to get a few in before then?!

Nowwhyareyoucrying · 19/11/2016 09:29

Hoping I can join too.

I'm on cycle 2 of 100mg Clomid (days 2-6). Unexplained fertility 3years, trying this before the more invasive stuff. I do normally ovulate (apparently) but Clomid has made my cycles shorter. I'm on CD 14 today with nearly +ve Opks. BDd every day/every other day from cd10, until a couple of days after a +ve. Finding it all a bit stressful and draining at the mo, but have put on my (sexy) big girl pants and am getting on with it Wink

Good luck everyone.

accidentalgrownup · 19/11/2016 09:59

Hi everyone Smile that's me CD6 and last clomid taken for round 2! footy are you about the same? How long are your cycles?

Rubbish to hear of all the side effects you girls are going through, mine weren't too bad last month but at the moment I feel dreadful, if I hadn't just had AF I'd swear I was pg...how cruel Sad

MmmMalbec I was wondering the same, I think I ovaulate quite late around CD21 but don't wanna miss it so probably every 2-3 days from now onwards x

doomkittycleo · 19/11/2016 10:47

Malbec, I'm just a few days ahead of you. Now on CD9. I had a lot of ovulation pains on the days I took my Clomid, but they have eased off now. I thought I had ewcm for 1 day on CD6, but now think it might not have been Confused.

DP and I only managed to BD for the first time this cycle last night, but I've been using opks since the last day of Clomid and not had a positive on there yet.

If I were you I'd just try and BD as much as possible, being mindful of any ewcm and if you use opk's trying to BD as soon as you get a positive.

The Drs make out like "timed intercourse" is an easy thing to do, but it's so not. It takes a lot to get both of you in the mood when it's "functional".

Footy1 · 19/11/2016 13:26

Cd3Star

Hi everyone, 100mg of clomid today (decided to take on cd3-7 this time, rather than 2-6, because I've had to induce the AF it's so heavy I was worried id run out of time to dtd before ovulation!!) ovulated cd8 before!! I spotted on day 1, also wasn't sure whether to classify it as day 1 or not.

Accident, just a couple days behind u in the end as spotted for a bit before AF big flow. If I ovulate at cd8 again, then my cycle is around 23/24days.

Fig, good news regarding follicles. Fingers crossed xx can I just ask, as I'm not getting tracked by scans if u have a follicle on each side, can they both release?

Readyforcuppa, thanks, good to hear a positive story- congrats

Doom-hope all goes well with house.

Malbec-def start early even if every other day from say cd5. First two cycles I ovulated early cd8. Until u have had a few cycles you don't know what it will do. Heard of peeps that don't ovulate until later tho.

Hi now, my cycles also have got shorter. It is so stressful all of this. Last cycle I kept attempting to ovulate but didn't so had to keep on going with the deeds just incase. Was pulling my hair out.

Doom, I'm with u on that, me and DH a few cycles ago were arguing the whole time because he wouldn't perform on the good days so id sulk! Now I don't tell him the f/w as he gets stressed with it. Almost pretend I'm a horny nymphomaniac every day!
Have found the key is to not be available much the days after AF, or after ovulation as it makes him eager in between which is the f/w. HaloDef have to plan my tactic and treat him like a king tho.. That sucks Confused

MmmMalbec · 19/11/2016 15:51

Thanks for the advice about DTD. Think we will start once AF goes. For those with side effects, when did they start? I took my first pill this morning and feel pretty normal so far!

Now welcome! Did you start on 50mg or straight to 100mg?

That's quite late isn't it accidental, are you having scans? I normally ovulate day 19-21 ish so I'm hoping clomid will bring it forward by a week or so.

Doom we've long given up on 'trying to get in the mood'! It's a case of needing to just get the job done as quick as possible! We have a DS as well so sometimes the last thing in the world I want to do after a long day is start shagging but hey ho. I'm lucky that my DH doesn't have any performance issues at all so he can go on command!

Cd8 is so early footy! Had you ovulated by the time you went to your first scan then?

Footy1 · 19/11/2016 19:37

Malbec, only had scan before I started clomid. My gynaecologist who prescribed clomid didn't say anything about scans. I've been on it 4 months!!
Side effects started for me in second cycle. Think possible only side effects I got in first cycle was a bit hot in night and kept waking up. Grumbling ovaries like they are chatting to each other! Lol

I've taken first pill today - cycle 5 100mg and already they are talking to each other (ovaries that is)!
Experimenting this cycle with taking 3-7 and during the day rather than at night. See if makes a dif?!

MmmMalbec · 19/11/2016 19:51

Are you in the UK Footy? Have you had your progesterone checked?

I do wonder why we get told to take them on different days. Worth a shot trying a different combination though!

I hope I get away without any side effects this month then!!!

doomkittycleo · 19/11/2016 20:50

Malbec you're so lucky to have a DP that can go on command. My DP is so temperamental. Maybe because he's a bit older: I'm 29, he's 44.

I haven't been offered scans at all yet. I'm worried I might have ovulated on CD6, but have still been getting ovulation pains and no positive opk yet so hopefully not.

My side effects were slight headaches the first 2-3 days, then irritability, but that settled after last pill.

MmmMalbec · 20/11/2016 06:38

Oh must be stressful doom. When you're going through the hassle of clomid you want to make sure you're hitting all bases don't you. Is it your DHs first child too?

Did you have scans in previous cycles? Cd6 would be really early to ovulate wouldn't it! Do you ovulate naturally by yourself?

I'm hoping I can go away with little side effects. My DS isn't well and sleep is really hard to come by at the minute Sad

doomkittycleo · 20/11/2016 07:20

Malbec, yes this will be DP's first too. I had progesterone tests before starting treatment which indicated no ovulation and I had a hycosy scan to check my tubes and uterus were normal, but this is my first Clomid cycle.

My gynaecologist said she will do scans if it is not successful after 3 cycles. That will take us to January.

I know CD6 would be really early. Even though I don't ovulate on my own, I have still had all the signs every month which are usually CD17-19.

I'm hoping it was just ovary twitches cus of the Clomid and that I haven't ovulated yet. Only time will tell.

MmmMalbec · 20/11/2016 07:37

Ah okay. Do you not have PCOS then? Were you having regular cycles?

I got given 3 months worth as well to start with. I think the success rates are the highest in the first 3 months so that's probably why.

Yeah are you going to carry on OPKing? Hopefully it was just your ovaries coming to life with the clomid! Seen as I'm being scanned I don't know if I'll bother with opks. I'll just wait and see what happens at the first scan maybe. I don't know!

Footy1 · 20/11/2016 08:14

Hey yes I am in the uk Malbec. I've had all the blood tests before clomid and I wasn't ovulating it was 0.1 totally non existent! Fsh was through the roof, but they put it down to coming off pill. Originally they told me I was in menopause! But second test showed I wasn't thankfully. I just struggled to ovulate. Had more bloods taken again during 1st cycle on clomid which showed I had ovulated and all other hormones were spot on where they should be. Luckily I called them to say I had ovulated early (was opk'g/temping ) so they brought the progesterone test a week early which showed the peak. If I had had it done on day21 it wouldn't have already dropped a bit.

Footy1 · 20/11/2016 08:19

Doom, I also get lots of twinges whilst on the clomid and then they stop for few days and then start again when ovulating. Only way for me to tell that I'd ovulated was temping with a bbt. The cycle I didn't ovulate I had cramps and EWCM every other week where it was trying hard to ovulate. Temps even tried going up too but then shortly dropped.

I'm 39, and DH is 43 so I think my eggs are struggling to function. I already have 2 DS, both came without need for treatment so im just putting it down to age and the pill.

MmmMalbec · 20/11/2016 09:31

Ah wow sounds stressful footy. I had a nightmare when I came off the pill and it took me months to get a proper cycle back. I had two 56 day cycles! Fortunately I got pregnant on my second normal cycle. Were you on the pill for a long time? That's really handy that you were charting then! How old are your DS?

doomkittycleo · 20/11/2016 09:42

Thanks footy that's actually very reassuring.

Malbec No, I don't have pcos. I have put my infertility down to being on the pill and other hormonal contraceptives since I was 15.

I have regular periods per se, but they can vary in length a bit. I have had a couple of 25-26 day cycles, and a couple of 33 day cycles, but they have been averaging around 29-30 days roughly.

When you speak to the dr they say that the pill doesn't affect your fertility long term, but there is increasing evidence that it does.

I'm certainly never going back on it again, after I've had kids I'll just have to find a non hormonal method.

MmmMalbec · 20/11/2016 10:27

Yeah I agree re the pill. So many people said the same to me but it clearly messed me up. I was on age 15-26 without any breaks. I went back on for 3 months after having DS (I went through a stage of being sure I didn't want another) and when I came off I was fine. I felt awful on it though so I don't think I'll go back on at all.

Are you confident clomid will help you then?

MmmMalbec · 20/11/2016 10:28

Sorry I probably didn't explain myself there. I mean short term pill use didn't seem to bother me but long term did!

doomkittycleo · 20/11/2016 11:18

Yeah Malbec I'm fairly confident that it will help. The Drs said everything looks perfect except that I'm not ovulating on my own.

They also said DP has a particularly good sperm count. So hopefully I'll get my bfp pretty soon.

Main challenge is keeping up the enthusiasm in the bedroom lol.
