We have relocated from the conception board where we were previously chatting under the thread 'ttc for 10 months or more'. A lot of us are now long term ttc-ers and are going through infertility treatment or looking to take steps in this direction so we feel this might be a more suitable home for us!

I am joining u with being PUPO and have 2 on board too! Had a day 3 transfer today! We had one clear front runner and another borderline so they advised putting both back today. I was very nervous about having 2 put bck on my first go as the risk of multiples worries me but after chatting with the embryologist we decided to go with what gives us the best chance!
They are going to culture the other 5 incase they pick up to be frozen but i doubt they will xx

Thanks ladies OTD is 11 days from now....guess I'll test next weekend though. I'm so scared of testing don't think I actually have any tests in the house.

Thank you! Out of our other 5 embryos, 3 made it to day 5 but werent good enough quality to freeze so pinning all our hopes on the 2 on board for now!!! At 4dp3dt the 2ww is dragging, it feels like ages already!

Thanks Lucie and MPP, lovely to hear from you both. I keep thinking that given last time didn't work and at my age hopefully 50% of our blasts should be chromosomally normal then the chances are one of these should be OK....

I came down with a pretty nasty cough and cold after transfer. Had planned a few days off and thought I'd be able to get out and about but have been mainly taking it easy at home. I am 5dp5dt today but zero symptoms. Had a bit of cramping at 3dp5dt which I'm really hoping was implantation but I've had cramping in past cycles, we'll see I guess!

Sorry to hear about yr nasty cold trixie thats rubbish, hopefully u will feel better soon. I'm 5dp3dt today and not really any symptoms either, just sore boobs which will be the progesterone. I sometimes think i feel things but i think im just imagining it! X

How are you doing maple? I have a feeling you're approaching your test date?

Nothing going on here. I'm cd5 after a super short 25 day cycle which was annoying, which included spotting at 10dpo then nothing until 12dpo when period started. I was starting to get hopeful! Anyway, I'm now on my final cycle before ivf. Drugs arriving on 19 Dec, nurse's appointment on 20 Dec and period due 23 Dec so I'll be on the pill over christmas. I'm ready for it to be honest - 2 years ttc is quite enough, but also terrified!

Oh not long at all to go star!! I'm ready to start too but won't be able to until at least April I don't think!

I'm 11dpiui today but had very pale pink when I wiped - kept going to the loo as I thought I was starting as I felt (tmi) like a "trickle" down there!! Not hopeful at all as I usually spot brown before AF. Sigh! Don't know how I manage to have a shred of hope left but I still do month in month out!

Actually I'm 10dpiui, getting ahead of myself!

I'm not sure how dates work with iui Maple but is 11dpiui the same as 11dpo? I hope it isn't AF starting.

I had a tiny bit of pink/light brown spotting yesterday (6dp5dt) got myself a bit excited that it was implantation bleeding, can't be AF related with the amount of progesterone I am on....hmm.
We had some bad news this morning, DFIL is not well and was rushed to hospital this morning, it's not looking good so DH has flown up there (his family are in Scotland). Looks like I will be testing alone this weekend. Obviously hoping and praying that DFIL pulls through and I get a BFP but it could be a very tough weekend.

How are you getting on Hope?

I am 7dp3dt and doing ok, had some cramping type feelings today and felt like i might of been spotting but each time i go to the loo there is nothing there. Trying not to worry as who knows what it is and its out of my control but thats easier said than done!

Sadly DFIL passed away last night. I'm planning to test in the morning, hoping and praying for a BFP, would be bad enough to tell DH it hasn't worked for a 4th time let alone straight after losing his Dad. I wish I could stay in my 2ww bubble but tomorrow is 9dp5dt so should be a conclusive result.

Definitely AF unfortunately. Going to take a break from it all for Christmas and do my tests in January (repeat AMH, 3D SIS, dummy embryo transfer and semen culture for DH).

Trixie sending you and DH love, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know there's nothing much I can say to make it feel better or bring him back, I hope he passed peacefully.

My OTD is 8th Dec, i am so tempted to test early but DH really doesnt want me to, he said they have told us the 8th for a reason! I feel bad going behind his back so just have to wait it out! Random question, my clinic has given me a test to use at home, should i just do that one test or buy some myself and do a couple to make sure!!!

Oh my goodness trixie, I'm so so sorry to hear that... Please look after yourself and DH - it must be such a difficult time for your whole family in the run up to christmas.
Good luck with testing. I can see how the bubble of not knowing can be quite comforting but I guess you do have to test eventually. I think a bfp for you might just make my christmas! (no pressure )

So sorry maple - it's a real drag isn't it. Very good idea to chill out over christmas and get back on it in January. Those tests sound interesting - the only one I've had is AMH. What are the others?

Good luck for next week hope. In all my mumsnet reading (ivf virgin myself) I've never seen anyone hold out til OTD!

star i am an ivf virgin too which is probably why i think i can hold out till OTD!!!! We will see if im so sure next week

Thanks for your kind words ladies. He had been ill for a while but it is still a shock. The next few weeks will be tough and we were due to spend Xmas with my family but priority now will be DHs side of the family.
I'm already wimping out of testing in the morning....made plans to see a friend for lunch so going to wait until the evening. I think I have a fear of POAS. I got nervous just buying the tests.

Definitely sounds like a good plan Maple, April will come round before you know it and it's good to have a bit of time between treatment.

Star 3D SIS is where they put saline into your uterus via a catheter and take 3D images of the uterine cavity - think it might be called something else in other clinics?
Dummy embryo transfer is basically just that - just trying out what they would do in an actual transfer so that they can make sure there aren't any difficulties. I think the semen culture is to check for bugs?!

Trixie I'm sure family will understand about DHs family taking priority. What a difficult time to lose a loved one - will be thinking of you all. I'll be checking back tomorrow evening for news!

Maple, sorry to hear AF arrived. I always found that a short break and then making a plan helped.
