We have relocated from the conception board where we were previously chatting under the thread 'ttc for 10 months or more'. A lot of us are now long term ttc-ers and are going through infertility treatment or looking to take steps in this direction so we feel this might be a more suitable home for us!

Feel free to stop by and say hi and hopefully we can share the journey together and make it a little easier along the way!

Lucie I'm sorry. Hope you're ok. Flowers

Maple your doctor is horrible. I don't get why people joke about things like that when it clearly isn't funny to anyone?!

MPP congratulations!! That's wonderful. X

Borisisback · 13/08/2016 08:54

Oh Lucie, I am so sorry. :-( Thinking of you xxxx

Thanks all. Yes, Rosebud, it is our first round, and I am very conscious of how incredibly lucky we are to even get this far. Lucie definitely deserves commission!

friends123 · 13/08/2016 09:15

Congratulations MPP

I'm so sorry Lucie. xx

lucieloos · 13/08/2016 09:17

Thanks everyone, feeling a little down at the moment but I'm sure I will be ok in a few days and we just have to try and look ahead and keep going.

Sammy, can I ask for your stimulation did you just take Gonal and cetrotide or did you have any estrogen as well to increase your lining?

loopylou1984 · 13/08/2016 09:35

I just had menopur for stims, they were willing to add estrogen if needed but as I got to 8mm they didn't bother.
Fx your NHS round will be your lucky one. Xx

Hope2409 · 13/08/2016 09:38

Lucie i am so sorry, my thoughts are with you Flowers xx

Hi Rosebud!

Congratulations MPP, wonderful news! Xx

lucieloos · 13/08/2016 09:45

Ok thanks Sammy. When would they have added the estrogen? I think mine was probably thick enough I asked him after EC what it was and he hadn't written it down but said he thought it was about 8 something but I know the time before that when I had the ectopic it wasn't very thick before EC. I've found that the 2 cycles since I had the hysteroscopy it has been thinner than usual. I'm just hoping they haven't damaged something as my lining was the one thing I was able to rely on!

Maple - i hope you have a good time at your BBQ today and that no one asks the awkward question!
I always dred going to things like that at the moment even if it ends up being ok it always sort of leaves a bitter after taste and i go home feeling a bit sad.
I'm off for a day out tomorrow with family some of which have young children, i know it is going to take all my strength to get through the day!
Xxx

loopylou1984 · 13/08/2016 10:17

It would have been after EC, I think adding it before could mess up the follies.
Can the hysteroscopy damage the lining then? I've never heard of that. Xx

lucieloos · 13/08/2016 10:19

Ok thanks Sammy, I'm not sure really maybe if they scraped too much. It probably hasn't but I'm just thinking things over xx

So so sorry Lucie, I was really hoping for a double positive result this morning. Look after yourself Flowers

MPP!! Congratulations!! Wonderful news at last, I'm so happy for you Smile

chopsface · 13/08/2016 16:07

Stalking. Sorry for bfn Lucie

Congratulations MPP headaches and cramps were my first symptoms too.

Good luck everyone. It CAN be done. I was ttc for 32 cycles with mild male factor. Had 2 non starter iui. First cancelled because sperm sample too bad, 2nd at base scan because of lining thickness and already a large follicle. That large follicle seen at day 3 turned into the egg that made baby chops, our little miracle. Don't give up hope x x

Longleggedlovely · 13/08/2016 17:00

Congratulations MPP! Grin

So sorry Lucie Flowers

We had our IUI today, feels all very weird. It's taken us so so long to even get to today and can't help but smile that I 'might' be preg but trying so hard not to get our hopes up and trying to think of all sorts of things to keep my mind off testing before I'm supposed to in 2 weeks. Thank you for the handholding - I'm sure I'll need it!

maplebaby · 13/08/2016 17:47

Welcome Elles!

BBQ was fine in the end! No questions asked thank goodness. I think it helped that when I wasn't around a while ago they had asked my best friend (who knows) if I would have a baby soon and she replied "I don't know I don't think it's any of my business".

Glad IUI went well long! Mine was really uncomfortable - felt like she was rummaging around for ages! I'm in my tww too - currently 5dpiui but not feeling very helpful as I had thin lining.

Pikz · 13/08/2016 19:50

So sorry Lucie :(((

Just popping on to say that our third and final Clomid cycle hasn't worked. Period just turned up a day early. Feeling crushed right now as I was full of hope with 4 follicles and cramping at 10dpo. Anyway, next appointment 1 Sep so hopefully moving onto ivf/icsi very soon.
