We have relocated from the conception board where we were previously chatting under the thread 'ttc for 10 months or more'. A lot of us are now long term ttc-ers and are going through infertility treatment or looking to take steps in this direction so we feel this might be a more suitable home for us!

Feel free to stop by and say hi and hopefully we can share the journey together and make it a little easier along the way!

lucieloos · 21/09/2016 18:08

Oh wow so glad I went for the beta now! My hcg has shot up and had trebled!!! Doubling time of 31 hours. Phew. So glad that is over with. I know it's only a small snapshot in time but at least for today I know it's developing correctly.

Yay Lucie! When is your next appointment / scan?

JustTrixie · 21/09/2016 18:21

That's great news Lucie, glad it has put your mind at rest.

lucieloos · 21/09/2016 18:21

It's not until the 12th October! Anyway I know this is meant to be a thread for ladies cycling, looking to start treatment etc so I promise I will keep chat on pregnancy, scans etc to a minimum now. I'm still going to hang around though as very nervous and still want to be here to cheer on the rest of you lovely ladies Smile

Excellent news Lucie!

I'm just a week behind you Friends!

Where do you ladies get your private scans? I've been thinking about one but not sure what is a reasonable price?

lucieloos · 21/09/2016 18:36

Mrs Ren, there is a thread called pregnancy after infertility over on the pregnancy section where most ladies from here go to chat about scans etc following bfps. We have to respect that a lot of ladies on here are undergoing treatment or about to start treatment and may find it difficult to read chat about scans etc. so we try to keep it to a minimum on here x

Yay Lycie! Fab news!

Mrsren - come join us on the thread Lucie mentions, it's very friendly :)

Brenna24 · 21/09/2016 20:04

That is excellent news Lucie.

loopylou1984 · 21/09/2016 20:37

Banana - how are you doing? Xx

Paige43 · 21/09/2016 20:50

Welcome user! Glad to see all you ladies doing well. :)

So I'm in my 2ww and I'm trying to remain positive and not think too much about it. I'm actually rather relaxed (maybe it's the acupuncture lol).

Had a meal with friends tonight which was lovely. I ate and drank and was nice to have a evening off ttc so to speak. I'm out gain next week with friends so something else to look forward to.

Funnily enough I've realised my first appointment is the day AF is/would be due.

bananafish81 · 21/09/2016 21:02

Great news ladies!!

I started the pregnancy after infertility thread back in February as I felt very lost and out of place on the other pregnancy threads. I'm absolutely delighted it's still going and hope to be able to rejoin at some point. Too nervous to do so until I know if there is a baby and that it's in the right place. If we get past a viability scan then maybe I'll pluck up the courage to come back

I'm OK. I'm really struggling off all my pain meds, I really really hope it's for the greater good. I started on metformin, and I've gone straight onto the miscarriage dose: feeling a bit rough from that, and it's killed my appetite stone dead, but otherwise fine. Shitting it about beta. If I get through Friday then not sure if will need more bloods or it's sit tight till a scan. Just have to watch and wait really...

lucieloos · 21/09/2016 21:05

Good luck banana will be thinking of you! Really hope this works out. I feel the same about the other thread. Don't really feel quite ready to move over yet.

Fingers crossed for Friday Banana.

How lovely if we could all move over to the other group. X

Thank you for the thoughtful and helpful responses everyone! I feel very welcomed and much better for having posted. What a lovely thing it is to reach out and find support. I am less good at offering it though - I have a lot to learn about reading through and keeping up and offering words of wisdom like you all do, but it seems there are some people here in the middle of interesting times and I really do wish everyone good things and strength.

I think you are right about moving to IVF pronto. There is no point carrying on trying just hoping it will be okay. We are where we are. And actually feeling like we're DOING something about it would be pretty welcome right now. I will just have to learn to lie at work!

Thanking you X

beanhunter · 21/09/2016 22:02

Hi user. Your story has many parallels with mine. Our daughter is 4 (not IVF but took 2 years and a fair bit of treatment). This time we are now almost at 2 years again. I had a MC last summer and then nothing. We moved to IVF at a year as there seemed no point in waiting and we weren't getting younger and success rates seem largely related to the females age.
I had a failed cycle in April and am part way through cycle 2. Personally and if money no object I'd crack on ASAP and get to see someone to discuss next steps.

Lozza398 · 21/09/2016 22:53

Hello everyone!

Sorry I've been a bit busy with work etc hope all is ok with everyone! Welcome user!

Not much going on with me - I've ordered some inositol and have my GP appointment next week. It goes so slowly! Although I'm working everyday right until Wednesday morning now so time should hopefully go much quicker!

Im trying to decorate in my spare time (not that I've got too much coming up)! But who knew luxury vinyl tiles were so expensive! Everyone keeps telling me it's an investment for when we decide to have a baby - I just smile and nod!

I am genuinely happy for all the BFPers on here though - when you've been on a same/similar journey (even though I'm at the very start) it's nice to hear some good news! Keep the pregnancy updates coming! X

lucieloos · 22/09/2016 18:49

Banana, wishing you lots of luck tomorrow. Keep us posted x
