Ivf first time

Hi, im just starting my jabs for my first ivf attempt. I wondered if anyone is in the same position as me or have any advice?

Yes egg collection is this morning and I'm rather terrified! Have to be in at 8am. Hopefully the next few hours fly by!

Cats whiskers have you spoke to clinic re bleeding?

Sara good luck with testing. If I get that far I'm determined to wait until the clinic tests, but I suspect in reality that will be very difficult! X

Spinyffud i was exactly the same but its not as bad as u think its going to be x
Hope your ok and rest up afterwards. You may be a bit sore for a couple of days but dont worry. Let us know how u get on x
Yeah i spoke to clinic. Asked i wait til friday and spotting is normal. But if gets heavier call them again and they may need to increase pessaries x

Sara it does make me worry. Whay if i am but because of thr blood i may not be for long :( or be negatve friday.

I hope we both get the best results this week . Is ur otd this weekend?

Whiskers I'm due to test on 10th which is 12 days after transfer. Feel so nervous. I feel for you so must be scary but I think even if I get a pos I'll be nervous as hell anyway. Its so out of our hands. Everything crossed!

I found the process fine, but outcome devastating. I only got 2 eggs so it's pretty much game over for me x

Spinyffud its not over. I was speaking to someone on fertility friends. She had 4 but was egg sharing. She had 2 and both fertilised. Put back on day 3. She is having twins and is 6weeks so it is possible. I understand why you feel like thay way. I had 17 and only ended up with 1. Quality over quantity is better x
Sara we are testing the same day. Fingers crossed for us both x no af yet is a good sign for u too x

Thank you... I very much hope we have some sort of chance, but clinic didn't seem too hopeful. Even if 2 fertilised, they would both go back in on Thursday.

We will know by 9 am tomorrow if we have any fertilised x

Oh spiny that's a tough one how are things?
I started spotting at lunchtime so came home and tested - got bfn so looks like it hasn't worked. I expected it not too but feel utterly crushed.
Today is 9 days post transfer so if I was it'd pick it up

1 egg fertilised and is going in tomorrow. I hold little/ no hope.

Thanks x dh being really hopeful as he thinks on test day it might magically be a positive. Its not the spotting worrying me its the negative test. Will see how it goes but not holding out much hope. At least I get another shot though on NHS. Grateful for that. X

Yes I tested about 4ish. Will try again in morning might as well use tests up. Bleeding is light but red now. Very crampy. Can't seem to stop crying.

Jesus this is a fraught process... No matter what stage there is so much emotion and worry😪X

Called clinic as heavy bleeding now and what with neg test yesterday, nurse said I could stop taking the crinone. Got meeting with doctor on Mon. Got to work this morning and couldn't stop crying so came home. I just need a bit of downtime but already thinking about when I can start again. I am like a fucking tap!

Yes- I had ET yesterday. Don't fancy my chances, but at least I'm still in the game! X

Hey ladies I'm OK this period is hellish though never had one like it. I'm hoping I can do next cycle maybe in Jan - have three months off, try naturally, have holiday booked for xmas so relax a bit and then give it another shot. But if they say sooner I will cause I'm 40 in April. Eek!

I did get a bfp today and bleeding is almost gone now. Tiny bit there but brown x DH was crying x scan booked 5th Oct x
Spiny i had 17 eggs and only had 1 embryo after all of that and its worked for me so far. So dont count yourself out yet x

Spiny-canary islands as thought I might be pregnant and wanted short haul! You OK? Hope you're keeping relatively calm! Wish some tech wizard could design something so we could watch the embryo and know what's going on. Imagine that on dragons' den!
