Whiskers - did you say 17 eggs ? That is amazing; you're a freaking machine! I can't believe you got so many! Very excited for you...

I have to do my trigger tonight at 11.30 ec wed morning. Everything is crossed for you. Take it easy and hope you can get a good rest. 🌻

spinduffy · 22/08/2016 22:41

Good luck for trigger Sara! That's another mini hurdle done! X

Thecatswhiskers33 · 23/08/2016 08:59

Haha Sara i was pretty shocked
Good luck for your trigger and EC..xxx

Sara237 · 23/08/2016 18:16

Thanks ladies - feeling nervous but bizarrely excited about EC.
Whiskers- have you heard how things are going today? Hope all is well and they are dividing nicely.
Spinduffy- how are you coping with the jabs? Hope it's fine for you and time will soon pass.
Astrid - how are you getting on?
Underpants - hope all is well with you too.

Thecatswhiskers33 · 23/08/2016 19:11

Hi Sara..i will be thinking of you tomorrow x
Lots of luck.
17 eggs were collected, Had a call today to say 13 were mature and 9 fertilised. DH and i are happy we have passed 1 hurdle :)
Will be told thursday if they want to do ET then or Sat x

Sara237 · 23/08/2016 20:31

Thanks - that is a great result. For 9 to fertilise is superb. Some women get one or two or none so you have really done well there. It certainly is one hurdle after another. I am coping by eating lots of Jaffa cakes and watching American box sets! Must be lovely for your dh to have something tangible now that is his creation too ; think must be weird for men who are a bit peripheral to start with - in the cycle I mean!

spinduffy · 23/08/2016 22:03

So far the jabs have been fine. 2 today and 2 tomorrow and then I'm down to 1 a day. I was a bit surprised at how much pressure you needed to get solution in! The needle is fine- I freeze ar a first and literally can't feel the needle.

Is trigger shot painful?

Good luck for EC tomorrow- let us know how it goes. Catswhiskers fingers and toes crossed that they keep growing!

Thecatswhiskers33 · 23/08/2016 22:12

Haha Sara i share your love for jaffa cakes lol
Yeah he was really pleased today bless him x Hope its not too uncomfortable for you tomorrow x

Thanks duffy..Glad jabs are going well. U do need a bit of pressure yeah. I found the trigger the least painful x when will u have a scan?

spinduffy · 24/08/2016 07:39

My scan isn't until day 8 which feels like a long time away!

We are supposed to be going away to a nice hotel/ spa overnight on Sunday (day 6 - day 7) - in your experiences will this be ok? I'm scared of being achey, but a head massage and some nice food and no cooking definitely appeals!!!

That's great re trigger shot- it's the one I'm most worried about!

Good luck today Sara!

Catswhiskers I hope those embryos are growing nicely! X

Sara237 · 24/08/2016 08:05

Spinduffy- I think little break will be good for you I didn't book a holiday this summer cause thought I would feel too bad and as it was, I felt fine. Last couple of days down regging was a bit groggy but on stims felt fine. The trigger shot is a tiny needle nothing to worry about there. Thought of a spa sounds lovely. Only thing is dh should keep his bits nice and cool so not too long in Jacuzzi! Ha! Enjoy.

Sara237 · 24/08/2016 15:08

Well egg collection no where near as bad as I thought, they got 14 eggs which was relief given my tender age!
Was very sick when I got home but I am always bit of a puker sorry tmi...
One more hurdle done x

user1468929072 · 24/08/2016 15:20

I will have a call tomorrw morning to see how they are growing and if transfer will be tomorrow or sat. Feeling excited now. All those weeks of jabs feel worth it x Hope there is at least 1 good one to choose from.x

Sara237 · 24/08/2016 20:28

Hi ladies,
Had a good sleep and feel ok now. Must say am dreading call tomorrow... Must stop reading stats about older women and ivf. Feel excited and then trying not to get hopes up at same time!
Best wishes to all x

Thecatswhiskers33 · 25/08/2016 09:00

Hope you get good news today Sara x i'm sure you have done well x
My ET is booked in for Sat. Out of 9, 6 are doing well and they cant choose between them today. 2 are slow starters

Sara237 · 25/08/2016 10:13

Hi whiskers that's great news so you will have a five day embryo to put back which is the gold standard! And being only 33 you have a really good chance. The two week wait is going to be excruciatingly exciting!
Clinic called and ten of my 14 have fertilised! Can't believe it! But she said they still have to form embryo's by tomorrow so still feel nervous but also v.excited! X

Thecatswhiskers33 · 25/08/2016 12:50

Thats brilliant news Sara. So chiffed for u x
Hope they keep growing as they should x
SmileSmileSmile

Sara237 · 26/08/2016 11:39

clinic just called to say they have all turned into embryos so et on monday!

Thecatswhiskers33 · 26/08/2016 13:09

Brilliant a 5 day embryo too :)
Are you having 1 or 2 put back? Or will you know on Monday?

spinduffy · 27/08/2016 09:39

That's very exciting that both of you are making it to a 5 day transfer. Also sounds like there will be some to freeze!

Thecatswhiskers33 · 27/08/2016 12:45

Had my Et today. Had 1 5day good quality embie put back which was great and felt a bit emotional.
But i am gutted we have none to freeze. 4 were a day behind and if they didnt develop by this pm they wont keep them for a 6th day.
Because we had good numbers to start with i was hoping for at least 1 to freeze. But we got the best one and i just hope we will be lucky x long 2ww ahead x

Hope u have a great weekend ladies x

Thecatswhiskers33 · 29/08/2016 10:06

All the best for today Sara x
How r u feeling Duffy?

Sara237 · 30/08/2016 12:39

Whiskers hi haven't got landline so no internet at home using in laws wifi! Nightmare going to be offline for at least another week. Well you and I are having very similar experiences. Like you, I had a great haul so was expecting more but when we got to et yesterday they said there was only one viable embryo... I was stunned to be honest and wept when we came out. I know I only need one but they were so positive about the numbers and on day 2 all ten had become embryos so I feel quite gutted. Can only hope for best now and we are lucky to have managed a five day embie. Xx
