If so, please join the club. Let's keep each other going!

In our case, we're going abroad for ours - Norway. What about you?

The reassurance is nice isn't it goinggrey :)
I rang my mum this morning as I was taking the dog for a walk and just burst in to tears over something really trivial. So silly! But it's just the hormones.

I think when we are further along we should all meet for lunch! But I know what you mean, won't feel real till post 12 weeks or when you start to see a proper bump xx

goinggrey1978 · 12/05/2016 14:04

Hey tinysalmon, no work for you today?? I'm excited ibd team said I'm allowed to eat what I fancy and also to try haribo and nann bread apparently both help the runs!! Yes let's see how we go, lunch sounds good to me, and once I'm up and about and better too of course!! Feeling like I'm about to go into a food coma, only had a tiny bit of toast, few crisps and a couple of harbio I found, better do medication before I fall asleep too!!

TinySalmon · 12/05/2016 16:53

I'm very fortunate that I don't need to work. When we started TTC I left my job.. Little did we know 2 years on nothing happened and hence IVF. Hah! It was awful not having a job to go to to take my mind off the 2WW and then getting my period every 4 weeks but every time I thought I should get a job again I thought it was pointless as I'd get pregnant soon. A vicious cycle! Although I do now volunteer at a charity during the week to keep me sane! Never thought I'd get so much pleasure out of working for free..!

goinggrey1978 · 13/05/2016 12:14

Ahh tinysalmon, how are you doing today?? I'm missing work, it's my life, I've worked with children for nearly 23 years, so much reward and everyday is different, no day is ever the same, the amount of times I've walked into the staffroom and said this happened earlier, it made my day or I tell the story again and tears come to my eyes, I hold them in at the time, so I don't shock the child!! It's the smallest things that make such a difference!

goinggrey1978 · 14/05/2016 05:09

Morning everyone, just wondering how you all are??

TinySalmon · 14/05/2016 14:53

Still here goinggrey! Getting very bad morning sickness in the afternoons and evenings. Almost everyday for the last 2 weeks from about 4pm I am done for the day and I'm asleep by 9. It's awful! x

goinggrey1978 · 14/05/2016 15:56

Yes my nausea issues start anytime from lunchtime onwards, I have to eat the right thing to get rid of it, so I don't throw up, polos are working because they are peppermint! I'm not doing throwing up, can't deal with that!! Bubble knows what the deal is!! Make me throw up and bubble won't get the things bubble wants!!

goinggrey1978 · 16/05/2016 12:52

Excited my v pillow has arrived, can't wait to test it out at bedtime!!

Everhopeful76 · 16/05/2016 14:01

Goinggrey I love the fact you are adopting tough love strategies already about baby craving certain foods as long as no sickness.
I have to say, to TinySalmon too that at 11 weeks +3 and touching every bit of wood, that my symptoms are starting to ease off. The nausea is present but milder, and I have not been physically sick since last Tues even though have had a few last min escapes with that, was certainly gagging a few times. I am finding myself needing to graze on some form of food every 2 hours and whether or not that has helped I don't know. I am just hopelessly tired but I probably was before and had not noticed.
Someone made a suggestion of lime cordial (weakly diluted) was the only thing that stopped the nausea, and for some reason this also works for me. Have also found the foods I would normally be thinking would not touch if I was feeling sick (ie mostly milk based things) and I ve been devouring milkshakes and hot chocolate. So it really don't make a lot of sense. However definitely still off coffee and can only do 1 cup of tea a day
There is an end in sight ladies.
PS What on earth is a v pillow?

Everhopeful76 · 16/05/2016 14:02

PPS I agree re naan bread being a help, wonder why that is!!!

goinggrey1978 · 16/05/2016 14:20

Ahh thanks Everhopeful76, a v pillow is a pillow shaped like a v it helps to hold your body in an upright position and support your head so you can sleep, as I'm struggling with sleep because I can't sleep on my stomach at all at the moment, my best friend got it for me, as I need to sleep lots to repair the runs I've still got, as I've tried all sorts of pillow arrangements but just keep falling down in bed and then I wake up with indigestion and heartburn and nausea again!! Yes I know what you mean about milk products, I had cereal again today, really want a banana milkshake, going to have to mash up a banana to make it though, as all those powders and liquids have dairy products in them which I can't have!!

goinggrey1978 · 16/05/2016 14:22

Just got to find a nann bread without dairy in it though, I got chapati though as they are dairy free!

Everhopeful76 · 16/05/2016 18:12

Its a bit alternative but do you like almond milk, as you can always blend that with banana. I used to always make these date and banana shakes, which was basically 175ml of almond milk, 2 bananas, 5 small chopped dates,or date syrup, either a teaspoon of vanilla powder or cinnamon or leave out altogether and 1-2 tbspoons of almond butter. You can use cashew milk/butter, or it may even work with coconut milk but that's richer. I used to follow this gluten free, almost dairy free, meat free, sugar free etc, don't know if you ve heard of Deliciously Ella brand. She is FREE from all those things too and vegan, but those milkshakes are lovely and a good protein hit. Wandered around in Tesco earlier to see if could see dairy free naan, wasn't in there but am sure they must have suitable naans that you don't need to make yourself.
That pillow sounds a good buy

goinggrey1978 · 16/05/2016 18:51

Unfortunately I have no tolerance for nuts as they are high in fat, lots of things I either can't eat or even digest as I have no gall bladder either, there are certain foods that I have learnt that I just can't eat anymore, like i always crave cheese on toast but it's something I know I can't tolerate, melted cheese has an awful lot of fat, same as crisps, I can only really eat lower in fat ones or take the consquences!! I have all soya products, soya milk, soya spread, soya custard, they do soya strawberry milkshake which I have, I need to get a blender gadget too!!

Everhopeful76 · 16/05/2016 19:04

Ahh bless you, you re severely restricted aren't you.
Its funny because soya is something I cant have because of my thyroid issue, and a lot of foods contain it
If I had all your intolerances I literally would be eating nothing because I cant bear veggies at moment, although eating a lot of fruit
I used to be almost completely starchy carb free and now its all I want

goinggrey1978 · 16/05/2016 20:12

Yes I hate potatoes there are too starchy for me, but it's all I want atm, I usually eat a lot of pasta and rice, no fruit it's got far too much fibre!! I'm craving all real food, that I cook from scratch, you'll be surprised!! I just eat proper foods!!

Everhopeful76 · 16/05/2016 20:32

As long as you have the energy to do so that's brilliant
Am polar opposite, I need the fibre and its milky drinks am after. Prior to treatment, never touched milk in such a quantity

goinggrey1978 · 16/05/2016 21:20

Bubble half a tv roast chicken dinner, wasn't too keen on peas or much chicken either, but again ate mostly potatoes and carrots!! Had haribo jelly men for afters as well, now to watch Marcella, need to concentrate!!

Everhopeful76 · 16/05/2016 22:14

Haribo jelly men, nice

goinggrey1978 · 17/05/2016 18:00

Hey tinysalmon, where can you order from, are they online sites, really fancied spaghetti Bolognese eventually found a pizza place that had it but it's just a cooked frozen meal and doesn't look very pleasant at all!! Luckily I ordered potato wedges and chicken strips as well to get the order up to 10 quid, as of course, one sniff of the frozen 're heated food and bubble was like get lost I'm not eating that!! Never have this issue in states when I visit friends lots of places sell fresh take away spaghetti Bolognese!!

TinySalmon · 17/05/2016 21:34

Hi goinggrey! The Deliveroo apps works in a way that shows you the least waiting time at restaurants in your delivery catchment area so usually depends on how long I want to wait but lately I've been going for Chinese from a company called The Good Earth Express (they have quite a few in W/SW London) and fish and chips from a local 'posh fish and chip shop' called The Fish Club.

I've also been known to order a Pizza Express as there's one about 5 min walk away from us.

If I'm going for a takeaway I at least want it to be 'wholesome' and not too low-quality or rubbish because as your bubble knows, like mine, it will refuse any rank dishes!

I've also found soup helps a lot when I'm not hungry but know I have to eat! Vegetable soup or tomato soup is my fave x

goinggrey1978 · 18/05/2016 13:03

Thanks tinysalmon, I'm going to look up that site!! Luckily some lovely friends are coming round later and they are going to help me cook real food!! Soup has never been my thing unfortunately, as I child I was always given cream of chicken or mushroom soup neither I can have these days, as it's milk again!! I'm going to warm up some wedges for lunch and have a wedges sandwich with ketchup of course!!

TinySalmon · 18/05/2016 13:48

Has anyone been refitted for bras? Went to Mothercare yesterday to buy some pregnancy bras and she measured me at 32DD! Never had big-ish boobs before!

goinggrey1978 · 18/05/2016 14:06

I need to go and get measured too, mine were 36f hate to think what they are now!! Do I need to get pregnancy bras this early or will normal bras do??

Everhopeful76 · 18/05/2016 14:56

No I haven't either but estimate I ve gone up at least a cup size. Realised when I had a Grecian style dress on for a wedding y day. Nuclear warheads but weirdly apart from that I ve lost weight x
