Our thread was originally started by Rumples who now has her bfp, as have a few other ladies along the way. Here's hoping the next thread holds a few more bfps!

gcerron · 13/02/2015 13:28

This is an amazing week!! Congratulations toes it sounds brilliant news!! Now the waiting time until the scan!! I am nervous and happy at the same time.
mini great news as well, are you going to call to the doctor? I think it's good to do it!! this is an excellent Friday!! Grin

Verkey81 · 13/02/2015 15:24

mini that's fantastic! Agree with the others - you need to get onto the clinic asap to see what the bleeding's about? I have no idea when it comes to 2 embryos, I'd be very interested to find out though!

Verkey81 · 13/02/2015 15:25

toes wow - another one :) Congratulations! I can't wait to have a blood test - I want one. I want to know my levels!! I had a cry on the phone to my Mum this morning and last night with DP - go for it - cry!

minibmw2010 · 13/02/2015 15:26

I rang the clinic, they said to keep on medication and retest next Saturday but if I start to feel worse and it gets heavier to call back. apparently sometimes you can bleed if one takes and one doesn't. x

Verkey81 · 13/02/2015 15:28

shell lildottie I'd also be interested to know more about oestrogen, smidges clinic clearly wanted her levels to fall, though some give top ups, so maybe there's a middle level?

PhoenixFire7 · 13/02/2015 18:17

toes that's just amazing! Congratulations! I can't believe there are so many BFP's! I'm still counting mine hehe!

I will keep you updated with the Greece clinic. It just sounds better and better the more we look into it. Although she has said Athens will be too humid for me after ivf so recommends to move on to a Greek island Confused

mini I will give a cautious congrats. I hope it works out for you so badly!!!

Another spanner in the works... You know I did a clear blue digi yesterday and it said not pregnant because my beta was only 16? Well....

I did another digi after work today and I got pregnant 1-2 weeks.... I'm so confused! Obviously my hcg is still going up and is now over 25 but could it mean ectopic? Terrified!!

PhoenixFire7 · 13/02/2015 18:18

Oh and I was also very intrigued about the oestrogen tablets! It was something I wondered myself after really a blog the other say

PhoenixFire7 · 13/02/2015 18:19

I meant day not say

And also meant to add the I have zero bleeding now after 1 day of heavy bleeding Confused

lildottie · 13/02/2015 19:53

ooh phoenix fx its sticking!

mini got everything crossed for you too.

we really have done well with bfps lately! hopefully its the start of something and 10th is the one shell!!!

I was put on 2mg oestrogen 3x per day from my second scan pre ec because my lining wasn't as thick as they wanted it to be. I've been taking it since and told to continue until I'm 12wks. I've also been told to continue the protein shakes as well as prog pessaries (also on cyclogest 400mg 2x per day)

when I phoned gp to sort my prescription for prog and oestr I said I was on 3pd to the gp and she said the letter said 4. I called the clinic and they said I should stay on 3, its 4 on letter because that's the letter they use for fet cycles but gave me that one so I got the oestrogen. not sure why its different for fet.
my clinic don't give me a blood test. really wish I knew my numbers. ic tests still getting darker though!

Pheonix fx for you, that sounds positive, maybe it was a late implantation and so lower levels of HCG at this point?

Wow lildottie you're on so much more stuff! I might up my protein if thats meant to be good for you? I want my numbers too!
I thought the prog helps with the lining but maybe it's both then!? I've been trying to do some reading about it today!

lucieloos · 13/02/2015 23:23

Which protein shakes do you have lil?

lildottie · 13/02/2015 23:51

I found this about progesterone and oestrogen in pregnancy.

hospital told me to have 2x nestle build up milkshakes per day. you get them in pharmacy but I only found them in boots. £3.59 for a box of 4 so not cheap. taste bloody lovely though I begrudge that they are full of sugar but at this point I'll do what I'm told. they come as a sachet of powder and you as 200ml milk. I managed to get banana ones in my boots for £2 per box. they had them in their dispensary not on shop floor and went through till at trade price. I bought 12 boxes for £24, should've cost about £44!! going there again when I need to stock up!

I'll have to read up on this oestrogen thing, as in all my cycles so far they have specifically mentioned how good it is that my oestrogen has dropped as well as my progesterone having risen. As someone else said I'm now guessing there must be a happy middle ground. Will check our your link lildottie.

I'm getting mild cramps (from the progesterone I guess).

Shellster52 · 14/02/2015 02:51

Thanks lil. I sure hope 10 is a winner for me. It's the last cycle I can afford so it NEEDS to work (no pressure on me then!). Thanks for your link which I had a read off. I too have been doing so much research more specifically about estrogen and IVF. From what I've read, when they remove the eggs from the follicle, they also remove some of the surrounding estrogen producing cells, and hence why some clinics prescribe estrogen. Estrogen affects the length of time the uterus is at the correct stage for an embryo to be able to implant. In a study on rats, those that were supplemented with the lowest estrogen dose had an implantation window of days while those on the highest dose had an implantation window shortened to just 4 hours. But as for how to translate the rats estrogen dose into a dose for women doing IVF - I don't know. They say this is why many IVF cycles fail and yet the FET's in a natural cycle work. My clinic doesn't prescribe it post EC, but I have read a study showing that soy post EC increased preg rates significantly - I assume for the same reason. So I guess I'll go nuts on the soy instead!

Wow - so many BFP's on here. I can't keep up!

mini, what a long time to have to wait. I don't know how easy it is to get a blood test where you are but if I were you, I would personally get a blood test today and then one in two days time. That way I could see if the numbers were rising and one embryo implanted or if the numbers are dropping and it is a chemical pregnancy. A whole week sounds like torture!

minibmw2010 · 14/02/2015 08:58

We are private but my clinic don't really want me to do anything except wait and test next Saturday, I guess they're thinking chemical? Either way they won't do anything now until then Confused

PhoenixFire7 · 14/02/2015 12:33

mini surely if you're paying you can demand a blood test? Go to another clinic? Did you have a trigger shit? It all seems very odd and I feel for you being in the same situation. The only difference is that I'm a litter further on

PhoenixFire7 · 14/02/2015 12:34

Oh god how embarrassing Shock!!! I meant trigger SHOT Shock

lildottie · 14/02/2015 17:57

haha phoenix that's made me lol!

Smidge001 · 14/02/2015 19:36

Ha ha phoenix Grin

minibmw2010 · 14/02/2015 20:30

Ha ha Phoenix Grin Very amusing. I guess I can see why they want to wait until next Saturday (god it's such a looooooooong time away). I bet our clinics absolutely hate these new pregnancy tests for being so sensitive Shock

Verkey81 · 14/02/2015 21:55

When was your official test day anyway mini?

minibmw2010 · 14/02/2015 22:27

It's not until next Saturday. ET was Sat 7th with two top grade 5 day blastocysts. Started bleeding on day 5. Did two tests on day 6 which said + but I'm still bleeding heavily so I'm thinking chemical. I guess I'll have to wait a week to know for sure Confused Bleeding showing no signs of slowing down.

Smidge001 · 15/02/2015 07:25

mini I'll be joining you I think (but without even the + first). I'm 4dp5dt and already bleeding. Third time another no go. Sad. My OTD isn't for another week so my FC will tell me I have to continue with my meds until then, when all I want to do is have some Wine. It's heart breaking Sad

PhoenixFire7 · 15/02/2015 09:51

Oh no smidge I'm sorry Sad I know I'm not sure if this is going to work out for me so probably isn't much help but I bled heavily and still have a bfp (for now anyway). I felt like giving up and stopping my meds but I'm glad I didn't now because I could have ruined having that positive even if it may only be for a week!

Don't give up hope yet Flowers
