And ditto once more ...

swlondonnanny · 14/08/2014 07:52

Only 8dpo so no surprise... BFN on amazon cheapie for me as well... Don't expect anything till at least sun/mon.
Any symptoms? Nothing here, ocassionally it feels like my ovaries play tenis with my uterus... No sore breast...

brownstag · 14/08/2014 09:53

No nothing here either, but I don't usually get symptoms until much later.

brownstag · 15/08/2014 10:33

The B in BFN is starting to stand for 'boring'.

Mel3062 · 17/08/2014 14:58

Well I'm back from hol waving.
Nanny I missed your birthday hope you had a good day though I know what you mean :(
Brown hope you're ok,
Hubby has agreed to ivf at serum but think it will be next year as he doesn't have enough hol left and would be abot short notice for me.
Did a lot of Dtd though couldn't update ff which was annoying.
Had intralipid today so think I'm about 8dpo today x

Mel3062 · 17/08/2014 15:02

Don't know where I'm up to but it was cyclogest delaying af. Started it again now but at least I know. Didn't use the stork as figured I can do the same with my mooncup and a syringe and can't afford 3 per month!!

brownstag · 18/08/2014 07:34

All very positive, Mel. As long as you dtd, FF doesn't matter so much! Good news about the IVF at Serum. Something to aim for.
I'm on day 2 now. I had a 23 cycle last month! this is getting ridiculous. It was because I had only a 10 day luteal phase, and it's been a long time since that's happened. The last one was 14, typically; the one where we didn't dtd because it was day 3 when I ovulated. I think this variable luteal length is related to egg quality. Although Katie at Serum tells me some women's bodies may destroy their progesterone so it's worth using Cyclogest, which I haven't been lately. And that fact makes me wonder whether that 14-day luteal phase was enabled by not having any oestrogen month - although I can't work out why.

Mel3062 · 18/08/2014 07:45

Blinking heck ovulating on day 3 is ridiculous! Interesting about the cylogest. I've started it again at least I know it was that holding off af.
Well I've come back to someone using my card details to pay a debt company £1100 so need to sort that now so cross :(

Mel3062 · 18/08/2014 07:46

Hoping to see dr g in 2 weeks so that will be interesting..

brownstag · 19/08/2014 07:19

That awful, Mel. Have you managed to sort it out? Surely these people realise that you're going to spot over a grand going out of your account. Presumably they'll then be able to trace who paid it.
I was reading a blog yesterday about a woman who'd been diagnosed with premature ovarian failure at 36 or something and a couple of months after the diagnosis (she was having no periods at all), having had various Chinese herbs and ovarian massage, she conceived twins! I watched a video on ovarian massage yesterday and attempted to give myself some. Surprising how low down the ovaries are. Has anyone had ovarian massage?

Mel3062 · 19/08/2014 08:46

I know it's daft isn't it as they will know through whose debt it is surely! Anyway the money has been refunded and an investigation launched thank goodness. Interesting about the massage not heard of that before.

Mel3062 · 19/08/2014 09:09

Just looked At the massage think I'll try that next month it says after period and before ovulation so too late for me this month. Worth a go though!

swlondonnanny · 19/08/2014 09:48

Didn't do the ovarian massage but used to do the moxa ( heating up specific points on advice of my acupuncturist) it's getting cold again so might give it a go - it did improve my progesteron levels a tiny bit...
Off to St mary's. Can't wait to see what they've got to say.
Another BFN today 13DPO so hoping for a better month next month...

Mel3062 · 19/08/2014 10:00

Sorry about the bfn. Yes please keep me updated good luck. I've done moxa too!

brownstag · 19/08/2014 10:44

Good luck today, Nanny. Sorry about the BFN - sorry I meant to reply to your text. xx

swlondonnanny · 19/08/2014 16:17

Thank you! As expected all the test results were fine... And as expected they missed one test so had to wait another hour to have blood taken. Guess they will send the result to me as I don't have another appointment booked.

Mel3062 · 19/08/2014 16:21

Frustrating. How do you feel about the results?

swlondonnanny · 19/08/2014 18:24

Well they actually did even less tests than my local RMC which found that I have borderline protein S and C deficiency ( which I a type of inherited blood clotting issue ). But it is not that common so I can't figure out what the treatment is and how much it can cause miscarriages.
So am quite dissappointed that they don't do that test.
We saw dr Raj and actually he admitted there is clearly a problem but they can't figure out what it is as it is beyond bad luck to be pregnant over 10 times and have no child. And kept talking about donor egg IVF or surrogacy as generaly there is either issue with embryo or uterus.
But if it is uterus donor egg will not sort it and if egg / embryo quality surrogacy won't help.
Thank God he didn't start talking about adoption. I have nothing against it but still can't forget the lecture GP gave me about how we should just adopt as clearly God doesn't want us to have a baby...

Mel3062 · 19/08/2014 18:38

Oh no that gp needed reporting for that. I'm sorry it wasn't helpful I know how you feel, you come out feeling flat don't you. Would they check your uterus?? Have you had that done? Thought you had a hysteo? x

swlondonnanny · 20/08/2014 08:14

Yes I did, also tubes checked.
Mel good luck when you decide to test, fingers crossed for BFP Smile

suemays · 20/08/2014 08:51

nanny I still th

suemays · 20/08/2014 08:58

I still think its a combination of factors that results in a live baby. I also have had 10 losses after my dd, some on treatment but majority not and had a few tested. The last one I lost to food poisoning but it had trisomy 21. I am convinced the killer cells fluctuate which is why the treatment can sometimes work but it all depends if the egg is ok. duggs is a good example as she tried cgh testing with ivf and that didn't work on all the immune treatment but is now preg naturally after 4.5 years on no treatment! I think its down to luck more than anything.
Have you done the hidden infection test? Can you list all the tests you have had and maybe someone can fill in any gaps. I found st Mary's to be useless who also told me to give up!

swlondonnanny · 20/08/2014 13:56

Thank you Sue
Had the infection test ( positive for ureaplasma and hidden C, did the antibiotics)
Had uterine biopsy in Coventry - raised uNKcells
Normal blood NKcells count but cytotoxicity high ( 50:1 is 30)
TNFa borderline high (just under 30)
No DQa match
Very low LAD
One KIR receptor missing
Slightly raised ANA
Underactive thyroid with both antibodies off the scale (over 1000)
Borderline protein C and S deficiency ( all other blood clotting OK)
Never had AMH tested but good folicule count/FSH
Good progesterone whenever checked
Wheneved scanned linning always very good/excellent
Have slightly heart shaped (no septum) and retroverted uterus but that shouldn't cause early miscarriages
I need to go see dr G to discuss treatment but know he will start with LIT , possibly humira and nupogen. While I would really like to try steroids/intralipids/fragmin combo for a bit . Who knows it might just work...

swlondonnanny · 20/08/2014 15:09

Also contacted john bowen to ask about the chinese herbs/mushroom treatment and he just recommended one of them for 3 months and they can be used together with steroids etc so I think I will just give it a go Smile
