Is that for the intralipids and to administer Mel?

Mel3062 · 28/07/2014 17:31

It is x

Arianrhod · 28/07/2014 18:22

Very quick appearance from me, using slooooow 3G connection on Lanzarote beach. Just wanted to say pebbles I always use INS and I thoroughly recommend them - they are happy to take Serum prescriptions and are really very good. And as mel says, £103 all-in is a good price!

Back to lurking and wishing everyone well!

Thanks so much to you both and Ari enjoy your holiday and relax.

swlondonnanny · 29/07/2014 12:15

Pebbles everything crossed for you Smile. Admire you patience and waiting to test but if you don't need to start/change any of your medication when you get BFP than it's much nicer to wait and have a strong second line when you test.
I had my tests (LAD and KIR ) done today at dr G - finally. Should get the results next week.
Will see what treatment he'll suggest.

VillageMum · 31/07/2014 15:55

brown thanks for your reassuring words about maintaining a sense of normality... easy to forget.

nanny don't give up hope. After several mcs I also felt, at 41, that I would never have a child again - and lo and behold I had DD! It may well be too late for me now (I'm about to hit 45) but it's definitely not too late for you. Best of luck for your test results!

As for me: BFN today at 10dpo. Feel a bit fed up but just have to scrape myself off the floor and try again next month... nothing to lose.

Mel3062 · 31/07/2014 15:58

Oh village we know that feeling so well :( hopefully it's just early. I'm now analysing everything AGAIN! Even bought the stork conception thing but didn't realise you need 3 at £100 each :/

swlondonnanny · 01/08/2014 08:18

Village thank you Smile
As for your BFN at 10DPO - yes, many get a positive result then but many don't get a BFP till AF is due... So it's not over yet... Fingers crossed for that second pink/blue line ( but please stay away from boots own and predictor tests...)
Mel I was curious about that stork thing and wow, that is expensive if you need 3. Especially if they don't have a higher success rate per cycle than if you were trying without it... Also I can't see any way how it can help with low sperm count/motility. But if it works for you I might change my mind and buy it myself...
I just remember that I saw a spray/gel thingy from balance active which claims to help with sperm motility - should go get one today ( use balance active a lot for my bv and find it really good)
Cd13 here, still no + on opk and my DH is already tired of DTD. Don't blame him, I was pissed off with the ovulation test not turnig positive myself...Grin

swlondonnanny · 01/08/2014 08:24

Village sorry I meant sainsbury's own test with blue + on it not boots own. Also predictor early test

brownstag · 01/08/2014 08:33

I just had a look at the stork kit's instructions. Talk about making something complicated! I think that really would take the last vestiges of romance out of our DTD. But I can totally understand your buying it - buying stuff/paying for treatment is the only thing we can directly control so it makes us feel better.
Sorry to hear that, Village; did you start melatonin in the end?, I can't remember. Not that my last wtf cycle was a good advert for it, maybe, but I do think, based on my increased luteal phase and increased AMH, that it is improving my egg quality.
I really would like to go down the adoption route now, but ttc is the only thing DH has agreed to so feel that's my only hope of having another child. There are so many advantages to adoption as far as I'm concerned. No postnatal madness; no pregnancy stress; no more tests, treatment or operations; a ready-made family and sibling for our DS; I would be a more 'age-appropriate' mother if we adopted a child similar in age to our DS; and of course a child needing a home gets a family ...

brownstag · 01/08/2014 08:34

Any symptoms, Pebbles?

Mel3062 · 01/08/2014 10:07

Yes I don't think oh is going to help me with it either! Wasted purchase I feel...
Nanny send me your address and I'll send you a balance active fertility gel I got about 8 boxes when it was in tesco for £8 ;) oh doesn't like it as it's abit watery so you only need a tiny amount!

Mel3062 · 01/08/2014 10:09

He finds it funny when I insert my plug aka mooncup!! Honestly any baby I have will come out gold with the money I've spent!

Arianrhod · 01/08/2014 11:12

pebbles Just wanted to wish you huge amounts of luck for your OTD tomorrow!

OP posts:
VillageMum · 01/08/2014 12:13

Thanks nanny, mel, brown... still BFN today at 11dpo. I'll test again tomorrow and if it's a negative again then I'll know I'm out - day 12po is pretty reliable for me. There is literally nothing to do except try again!! As long as I'm producing eggs I'm not giving up!

brown, yes, I'm on melatonin too... the works! I keep reminding myself that it's only been a few cycles since my recent chemical and not to get too despondent. If I'm still not pregnant by Christmas then that's another matter... but some time to go till then. It can happen. I just want to get a pregnancy on board so that I can deal with whatever comes next...

Your wish to adopt is admirable. Would your DH be open to it do you think?

ari hope you're enjoying your hols!

Pebbles73 · 01/08/2014 13:18

Sorry for the bfn village

Brown have had the occasional twinge/cramp but could be anything.

Ari both dh and I are dreading testing, can't bear the thought of looking at a bfn!! Did you have many symptoms on 2ww?

Mel3062 · 01/08/2014 13:34

Pebbles wishing you all the luck in the world you so deserve a bfp and were all hand holding with you

duggs1976 · 01/08/2014 13:35

Pebbles - have either of you discussed what you would do next if you get a bfn? If bfp then fab and onto next hurdle etc blaa we all know. BUT would you follow Ari and do donor egg route do u think? I think u have some frosties back in Athens don't you? Hopefully is a hypothetical question but sometimes can help if u prepared for the worst. There are 2 outcomes from a test tomorrow morning so if u know what u would do with worst outcome then you are as prepared and ready as you'll ever be?! If best outcome then fantAstic
Start to August x

VillageMum · 01/08/2014 15:11

Pebbles forget about me, I'm keeping EVERYTHING crossed for you for tomorrow. You have an excellent chance. Onwards to a BFP! And if not in this round, then the next one xx

Arianrhod · 01/08/2014 15:36

Pretty much none pebbles ... I honestly didn't have a clue. I know what you mean about dreading testing - this was actually the first time I really didn't want to do an early test. I didn't even want to test on my OTD! My thoughts are with you both. You're going to be using a FRER, right?

OP posts:
Arianrhod · 01/08/2014 15:39

The problem with 'symptoms' is that they can be put down to anything - ie sore bbs can be just the progesterone pessaries (if you're on them), and twinges/mild cramps equally I get just as much on a non-TTC cycle as on a TTC one. I decided months ago to ignore anything that may or may not "feel" like a symptom, as chances are it isn't. I didn't even get vague nausea, sensitivity to smells, or anything until well after my BRP this time - which worried me during the 2WW as on previous pregancies I did. You just can't tell ... as my hCG levels this time around show!

OP posts:
Arianrhod · 01/08/2014 15:40

BFP not BRP

OP posts:
swlondonnanny · 01/08/2014 20:58

Pebbles best of the luck tomorrow, everything crossed for a strong BFP
Brown I didn't give addoption a proper thought, we talked about it with DH briefly but none of us was very keen. Will look into it properly, don't even know what the rules are actually. What does your DH think?
Also how are you getting on with your cycle? Did you do more of those FSH tests? All fine?

Pebbles73 · 02/08/2014 10:41

Well bfn for us and we are totally devastated, I really don't think there is anymore we can do.

Mel3062 · 02/08/2014 10:47

Pebbles I'm so sorry hugs to you both xx
