Only 11DPO. Predictor is a pink line test, should be as sensitive as FRER.
If I was a 'normal' women ( meaning no history of RM, immune issues etc.) I would be really excited just now.
I suppose I could just call GP surgery to say I have a faint positive test and a)do they want me to have blood test done or b) do they just prescribe prednisolone as per my coventry protocol so I could start taking it( 20mgs a day from BFP). And let them decide Grin
Or maybe not...

Mel3062 · 16/07/2014 07:25

I would nanny, get their opinion. you're still early so fingers crossed for you!

brownstag · 16/07/2014 11:49

Go to be worth a go. Have you done any more tests? 11dpo is early.
My FSH tests arrived and they are fine. There are 3 of them, to be done on days 3, 10 and 17. I am either on day 8 or 6dpo so god knows whether I should have done it now, but fsh was low according to those.

Pebbles73 · 16/07/2014 12:27

The tests drive you mad Nanny, I can recommend some cheap tests they sell in Asda, they aren't Asda's own and are about £2 but found them very reliable.

Egg collection done and back at hotel feeling sleepy, beat my record with 28 eggs !! At last scan Penny gave me the idea of around 6-10 so was very surprised. Obviously a lot of them will not be of good quality, transfer planned for day 6 so Tuesday if all goes well.

Nice to hear from you Duggs and glad all is good with you. We will have to have a meet up again one of these days.

brownstag · 16/07/2014 12:31

28 eggies! Fantastic, Pebbles. Let's hope lots are of good quality and you have lots to choose from x

swlondonnanny · 16/07/2014 13:44

Wow Pebbles 28! That's a great number Smile
Brown didn't know you can do urine FSH test at home - where did you get them from?
Yes did more tests - peed all over asda own test so it didn't work and cb digital which said not pregnant.
Next month I will just pay for blood test, it can't be more expensive that all the tests I did in last couple of days...

brownstag · 16/07/2014 13:57

I got them from Amazon, a private seller, Home Health, which also do the pregnancy tests I use, and very quick and reliable. They are £2.99 for 3, free postage. They are like an ovulation test, where a line of the same strength or darker means fsh of more than 25. So of course they are much more subjective than a blood test, and I still have no idea what my actual fsh is, just that it must be a lot less than 25. Which is good enough for me after the rollercoaster few weeks I've had.

brownstag · 16/07/2014 14:00

Sorry about the other bfns. It is all maddening. You are a woman after my own heart when it comes to testing. A blood test would be definitive certainly. Do you know how much they are?

swlondonnanny · 16/07/2014 14:26

Just checked some clinic close by - it says £30 on their website. Will call a few and see. Also will call Dr G and see.
At least I finally figures out why they sell 2 tests in one box - one for the women and one for her other half. At least this way if you both get + test it is quite clear that both of them are evap even though they are visible straight away... ( That is meant as a joke, I haven't gone completly mad... Yet...)

brownstag · 16/07/2014 14:37

:)
£30 is a bargain. I can easily spend more than that on a cycle where I have false hope due to dodgy tests/overactive imagination/evaporation lines. Poundland do some and so do the 99p shop, by the way, although not early ones and the last time I was 'really' pregnant they did actually work fine. But internet cheapies work out cheaper.

BellyD · 16/07/2014 17:09

Pebbles that's a tremendous amount of eggs. You are bound to have some grade A ones amongst those. Keeping everything crossed for you over the next few days and of course the dreaded tww.

Nanny sorry for the bfns but did you test those with fmu? It still is very early at 11dpo.

Good to hear from you, Duggs glad things are progress

BellyD · 16/07/2014 17:10

Oops, posted too soon! That should have been - progressing well.

Mel3062 · 16/07/2014 17:43

Wow pebbles that's an amazing number!! X

swlondonnanny · 17/07/2014 07:29

Belly good luck with your appointment today, curious to see what Dr George will say about your septum and where to deal with it. Hope you don't mind me asking but where do you see him? Does he only do your immunes? Know you went to spain for IVF so he clearly doesn't deal with that. Only asking as after my meltdown yesterday my DH suddenly (finally!!!) started to pay attention to all this immune stuff and started to ask me about other Dr dealing with it London and I only knew how Dr S and Dr G work so he found Dr George online and kept asking question and I had no answers. How do you find him?
Pebbles hope you had a good rest last night and you feel well after yesterdays EC.
Mel how is the monitor ? Did you have your peak yet?
Brown I am not willing to admit to myself how much I spent on pregnancy tests this month... Blood test is a way for me next month.
I did the last of CB+ and sainsbury's own+ ( both with blue crosses ) which gave me quite a few faint lines ovew last 5 days and they are both very clearly negative, not even an imaginary line on them so whatever (if anything) was going on/trying to implant is definitelly over now.

BellyD · 17/07/2014 11:18

Hi Nanny sorry about your neg tests today, how frustrating and upsetting. George is the Dr at Zita West in London, he came from Care in Nottingham and trained under Dr Beer who pioneered immune treatment in the US. You are right, he is doing our immunes alongside our Spanish treatment, but we have also have two rounds of OE ivf with him too. He really understands how traumatic miscarrying is, but I will be interested to see what he says when I see him this pm. Will let you know.

swlondonnanny · 17/07/2014 11:24

Thank you Belly. Had a little look online and looks like he is very keen on intralipids as a treatment for various issues. Can I ask what treatment did he put you on? And what for?
Just trying you find out how all this Dr work.

brownstag · 17/07/2014 16:42

... Well, all should hopefully be revealed tomorrow as I have booked a private scan in Tunbridge Wells, after ringing to see what had happened to my NHS appointment and being told the waiting list was 6 weeks!

swlondonnanny · 17/07/2014 17:40

Good luck Brown. 6 weeks waiting list??? That doesn't really help you just now. Which DPO does it make you? Hopefully they will explain what is happening

Mel3062 · 17/07/2014 18:22

Good luck brown.
Umm dr George... Nope my oh will not tolerate me seeing yet another doctor!!
Still high on monitor yet ff said I ovulated mon. Day 15 today, hubby away so maybe the moniter missed my surge who knows!!
Pebbles hope you're rested.

BellyD · 17/07/2014 19:34

Brown good luck for your scan tomorrow. I hope you get some answers.

Nanny I can't have intralipids due to a soya allergy so have to have IVIG, I also take pred, high dose folic and clexane, plus prontogest (progesterone) post transfer. Well George thinks I should have my hysteroscopy with Stuart Lavery at Hammersmith. Duggs/Pebbles I can't remember which of you have an IVF cycle at Hammersmith. Did you come across him at all? George said if I was his sister this is who he would recommend, but he didn't seem to know too much about Serum.

Pebbles hope you are ok and lots of your eggs fertilised.

brownstag · 18/07/2014 12:04

Thanks everyone. I can't say I'm any the wiser. If you recall, I am now on day 11 after a bleed of some kind. However, on day 3 I had a blood test which showed a peak of luteinising hormone, followed by consistently raised temperatures and tacky cm. All of which suggests that I have ovulated. I explained this situation to the sonographer, who said we'd be able to tell the difference between a follicle and a corpus luteum as the follicle will be round and the corpus luteum more crumpled.
There were no polyps or fibroids, the lining was thin (3.2) and there were some small follicles, all of which were about 5mm, and then an object in the left ovary which was irregularly shaped and 11mm. She seemed to think all in all the scan was consistent with me being in my early cycle and the 11mm thing is the dominant follicle.
I however, disagree. On day 11 I think I would have a thicker lining by now, and a bigger follicle possibly too.
Also, after telling me the follicles would be round, this thing wasn't, but she said my endometriosis might be making it more difficult to see. But my endo was all right-sided and has now been removed anyway. So I think this could indeed be a corpus luteum.
She said come back when I am midcycle (er, I am nearly mid-cycle) to see what has changed and what has happened to this object.
She listed it as a follicle on my printout.
I don't think I can afford another can so I'll just see what happends this cycle and hope my NHS one comes soon.

swlondonnanny · 18/07/2014 12:35

Brown sorry you didn't get the explanation . I have no idea what size the follicules/linning should be on cd11 but with your blood test results/what she saw on scan I would think that you are closer to your period now mean that you ovulated last week.
You'll see soon if you get your period next week.
You are still doing your opk, no?
They are negative now?

duggs1976 · 18/07/2014 16:17

I did yes belly my nhs one. I didn't see Stuart lavery but he is their top consultant so think he'd be ok......best of luck belly

Pebbles73 · 18/07/2014 17:12

Belly I had one very brief consultation with Stuart Lavery after my ivf at Hamnersmith and my first chemical pregnancy. At the time nobody could really explain to me wgat happened and that I would need to wait about two months for my nhs consultation so we paid to see him. I can't really comment as it was v brief and he just said that I had managed to get a positive pregnancy test so no reason it shouldn't work next time and that was it really. Was about 5 yrs ago so I don't remember that well but as Duggs said he seems to be the main person over there.

BellyD · 19/07/2014 11:31

Thanks for the info ladies, I really appreciate it.

Pebbles how is it all going? Have been really thinking of you.

Brown so sorry you are none the wiser, it all seems very confusing.
