Last dose of antibiotics finished - hurray! Grin
That reminds me that Penny said I will need more antibiotics once pregnant.
Mel was it you she said the same thing too?

Mel3062 · 28/06/2014 17:07

Yes for a few days but only on a positive test or if I have ivf I need to let them know a month before.
Of course my daughter is on hol so I'm wondering if to broach subject of ivf with oh tomorrow over dinner. He knows I'm trying to save. I know he's worried about financing daughter at uni at mo so don't know if to wait til were on hol in aug to broach it instead when we should know more what do you think? I think I'll speak to my boss next week and find out if I can have time off for it as hoping to plan it for oct half term x

Mel3062 · 28/06/2014 17:07

Thanks for reminding me nanny as I'd forgot that I looked back through my emails!!

swlondonnanny · 29/06/2014 13:22

Mel that's a difficult one. Maybe better to start talking about it now so he has a bit more time to get used to the idea. Have you ever discussed IVF with him? And where would you have it? With Penny?

Mel3062 · 29/06/2014 13:28

Def serum he knows that would be the next step and knows I'm saving so won't be such a shock. He's trying to mend his remote helicopter at mo and apologised for spending so I said I can't knock him for it with what I'm wanting to spend and he said yes but hopefully wel see something for it, ahh x

Mel3062 · 29/06/2014 13:31

I think that's the hardest thing got him not seeing anything for all the money we've spent, he's ok with it as long as it doesn't intervere too much with life, Lu's uni comes first etc

swlondonnanny · 29/06/2014 13:39

My DH is not complaning too much - he found it quite a lot what we spent so far but he wants that's child a lot. Sorry it doesn't sound right but hope you know what I mean. As we don't have any yet. And even he doesn't admit it he knows that if we end up having IVF it will be because of his low sperm count.
Did you find out how much is it with serum? Are you thinking your own egg / your DH's sperm? Hopefully Penny will not want you to have another hysteroscopy as that is quite pricey...
Hopefully you will have a positive test once you decide to test and won't need to go see Penny in October Smile

Mel3062 · 29/06/2014 14:34

Ha ha thanks nanny yes I do understand and for people like yourselves who have no children I think you should be entitled to help.
Because we have Lucie I don't think he's as bothered as I am if that makes sense. He'd love one but also likes it as it is and has seen us suffer so much.
It's £4000 for 2 cycles at serum and yes hoping I wouldn't need another hysterscopy as id need ivig as it is!

swlondonnanny · 29/06/2014 18:51

Where do you get your IVIG? Was looking how much it would be if I needed it and nearly had a heart attack

Mel3062 · 29/06/2014 18:56

I know! I think itl either be with dr g or healthcare at home as my nurse who does my intralipids can't get it x
Nearly spoke in the pub but the tables were so close no way could we have any private conversation :/

swlondonnanny · 29/06/2014 19:06

Sorry to hear that, maybe a nice bottle of wine in the evening? Helps with chats...
You think they could do IVIG at serum? Before egg collection or embryo transfer?
Did you ever use hydroxychloroquine? Maybe only Dr Shehata is using that one...

Mel3062 · 29/06/2014 19:09

Umm but I'm allergic to alcohol so oh doesn't tend to drink either unless I send him out with his friend! Chocolate is my pleasure! He's so tired after work, ah well I'm sure the time will arise. Not sure about serum and ivig actually...
Yes I was on hydroxy but then when I had my high uterine result I had to stop everything so just hoping it wasn't the steroids :/

swlondonnanny · 29/06/2014 21:55

Sorry Mel to hear about alcohol allergy - my sister has it as well.

Mel3062 · 30/06/2014 04:56

It doesn't bother me to be honest though can't even take night nurse!
Bfn today :(

swlondonnanny · 30/06/2014 07:14

Sorry Mel

swlondonnanny · 30/06/2014 08:53

Brown how are you ? Did AF show up?

brownstag · 30/06/2014 09:59

Thanks for asking Nanny, no. Fertility Friend now says I ovulated 4 days ago, although I'm not putting too much faith in that as I have had a cold in those days, drank a lot of wine on Friday and had insomnia once as well, so all of those could have raised my temperature. But it would fit with the even darker lines on the opks I had just before that and the vEWCM has now dried up. But the opks are still positive!
Oh, and I also had a tiny amount of spotting a couple of days after I supposedly ovulated. Has anyone had that before? I never have.
What day are you on now?

swlondonnanny · 30/06/2014 12:34

Only ever had spotting mid cycle once - 5 years ago... It was the day I ovulated. Never since than.
I am CD11 now, loads of EWCM and cervix is high. Need to do OPK when I get home from work. Looks like I might ovulate normal day this cycle - not like last one on day 25! Not TTC this month but would like my 28-29 days cycle back...

Pebbles73 · 30/06/2014 13:52

Sorry about the bfn mel, was hoping this was your month!

Brown I spotted for years mid cycle and nobody could ever find out why!!

brownstag · 30/06/2014 14:00

What day are you, mel?

suemays · 30/06/2014 15:09

brown I had spotting like that earlier in the year. I read somewhere that it could signal low progesterone so I took it the following month after OV to af and it didn't happen again. Implantation spotting is generally from 6dpo so I wouldn't think it was that. I also know as we reach the perimenopause that spotting mid cycle is normal as are long/short cycles. Maybe you should go for a 21 day test next month to see if you ovulated and get your progesterone levels checked? Your gp should do it.

Mel3062 · 30/06/2014 17:52

I'm day 24 13 dpo according to ff. af due tomorrow according to monitor. Don't know if to hang on a few more days or just stop meds. I wish af would show on it's own ..

swlondonnanny · 30/06/2014 18:31

Mel could you try not to use any cyclogest next cycle ? Think prof B in coventry recommends 3 mnths of cyclogest and than 3 months without... Just a thought. Fingers still crossed for BFP this cycle though

Mel3062 · 30/06/2014 18:35

Thanks I think it's that as before only had cyclogest on BFp not after ovulation and I'm not sure I have progesterone level difficulties :/

Mel3062 · 30/06/2014 18:48

Umm interesting, just read what prof quenby advised and she sAys for me to take cyclogest on positive test and same with clexane umm dr g put me on cyclogest after ovul ..
