Anyone starting IUI soon?

I have a clinic appointment tomorrow, I think to start injections, feeling a bit nervous about the whole thing, looking for others experiences and general chat/support.

This is the first cycle, anyone else in a similar position??

Thanks happily. Hcg was very low but I could have ovulated the day after the IUI and implanted late. I think I implanted around day 12. My progesterone level was good though. It's a waiting game as always. Just have to hope the numbers increase significantly by Wednesday.

Hope I've not put too much of a downer on the thread.

Worried - how are you getting on?. I have everything crossed for you??

I had a fantastic weekend at my friends wedding, then had a scan this am, showing 1 dominant follicle (17mm I think) so iui is going to be on Wednesday!! I think I am quite excited about it!!

I have to take my booster injection tonight, at 23.59!! Don't know why it was to be so specific!!

Also have to think of what I'm going to tell my boss that I need Wednesday off at short notice!!

That's great news! I have scan on Wednesday and think iui will be Friday! So pleased it's all going to plan this time!

We will hopefully be enduring the 2ww together!!

Great news happily and aalaa - I hope everything goes well.

Thank you all for your good wishes. I'm ok. Just trying to carry on as normal. Felt awful at work yesterday so hope that's a good sign. Still testing positive so hopefully Hcg isn't going backwards! I almost wish I hadn't had the bloods done but I guess at least it prepares you for the worst.
Officially 4+3 today. One day at a time etc...

Morning ladies,

Looks like Wednesday is going to be a big day for everyone, crossing my fingers for everyone, and very specially Worried.

I will be scanned next week and if everything goes well, will IUI at the end of next week. Eeeeeeeek!

I am getting a bit apprehensive. Apart from the ttc, mc, cp nightmare of the last two and a half years, I lost my mum last summer. I am not sure that my ability to get over disappointment and grief is what it used to be. I feel a bit defeated by life sometimes.

TTC has also put lots of strain in our marriage so even though a part of me is hugely excited about taking proactive decisions and actions, the chickeney part of me just wants to hide under the bed and not risk anymore heartbreak.

I know we are not ready to give up yet though so we'll just have to wait and see.

Hi aalaa I would say just relax (hard to do in stirrups I know) and stay lying down for 15 mins afterwards (even if they only tell you 5 mins!)

Had blood test this morning so now just waiting for the phone call...

All went ok here, I have two follies that are 16mm so they want to rescan me on Friday and then do iui on Monday. I'm not totally convinced that I won't ovulate before then though. I did mention that but she said I shouldn't so who knows!

Today went well I think, tried to stay calm, a bit sore at the tome, not too bad and slight cramp after, came home, had a nap and feeling ok now. I have to start pessories on sat!!

Yes I've used ovulation kits so I think I will use then this month so I can see if I do ovulate earlier. It will be really annoying if I do but I'm guessing they aren't open at the weekend and that's why we have to wait until Monday! X

Thought I'd update you all, iui booked for Monday. Have three follies at 18mm, 20 and 21 so fingers crossed this is our lucky month. Feel quite positive!

Hi guys, I've spoken to a few of you in the past. Just thought I'd let you know that after 2.5 years of ttc I had an iui and I'm not 6months pregnant. Think it was the drugs that did it (daily menopur injections as my eggs weren't ripening properly). Sending kind thoughts to you all, you WILL get there

Hi can I join you please? Af arrived today so I have a scan in Monday and will then hopefully get my meds and will get started. I'm sure ill have lots of stupid questions! My first one is how many times do you have to go to the clinic for scans/iui in one month? I'm trying to work out how many excuses ill need for work!

Hi! At my clinic you have to go in on cd5 and cd11 for a scan and then all being well you have the actual iui on cd13, this month however I had to go in for an extra scan this month as my body didn't react the same!
It does vary from cycle to cycle and clinic to clinic but you may only get two days notice of an appointment!

flower I just told my boss I was going to have lots of hospital appointments at short notice but I wanted to work extra hours to cover them. I always asked for early or late appointments so it didn't interfere with work and boss was fine about it

Thanks both, ill see what the clinic says tmrw and then maybe have a chat to my boss and say I've got to have some tests. He knows about my mmc and so knows its been over a year since that so he'll probably have an idea anyway.

My update, since iui on Wednesday I've had heaps of cramp and lower abdomen pain, less today, maybe that's it easing. Started pessaries yest so it's all just a waiting game now.

It went well thanks :) she said it was perfect cycle, three follies over 19mm and a good sperm count so it's just a waiting now. It's horrible to know that it's all down to luck now though! How are you? X
