Hut of Gl/Doom, lost count of the number coz its been so long - optimists need not apply!

Couldn't find the hut but in dire need of a hideout away from all those "its been 2 months" and "am I pregnant" threads.

For those of us who've been burnt by ttc, can't get pregnant, can't stay pregnant or are sick of hearing the "just relax" refrain.

Leave your hope at the door and grab a gin, we are back in the speakeasy with meths on tap!

Funny Lissie I was thinking of reinstating the hut myself.
So I'm in tww atm, had a normal Hsg and fanny cam this month. DH has repeat sa later this month. This is 19th month of trying.
I wonder if anyone else us around?

OracleInaCoracle · 07/08/2011 11:31

Ooh, did they give you the hsg results straight away? Its nice to still see familliar faces (although, I obviously wish we weren't still here and were on a grad thread instead) my periods have been all over the place since last mc, 24 day cycles, down from 30 to 28 now 24. But, think I ovulated last night from tubeless side, just as well as am just about to leave the caravan after holiday with my parents. Big passionkiller to have your stepdad farting in the next room.

Yeah they explained everything to me ad I was laid there. Quite reassuring because I still haven't had a progesterone level higher than 28. Last time DH's sa came back with count on lower side and poor motility. I've banned his baths and put him on well man pills so hopeful it'll be better this time. He had additional bloods done which showed high prolactin and low testerone which could be the cause. He's having that repeated tomorrow. At least I feel like with my plumbing in order, GP said even if his results remain the same they should be able to 'spin' his sperm and we could have ivf (eventually).
Ha to the passion killer. We went away in a camper with dsis and my in laws. Fun but no chance of any nookie in a tent, too flippin cold! Cringe at the prospect if being heard too.Hmm

havealittlefaithbaby · 07/08/2011 14:19

Shall we just clarify this is not a thread for people who've been trying for five minutes and are wondering 'could I pregnant'?...like, good luck to you and all but this is for those who are on the long haul, when you have days with appointments where the number of people who've seen your fanjo doubles in the space of an hour...

OracleInaCoracle · 07/08/2011 16:27

Male factor is quite easy to overcome isn't it? In comparison I mean. But at least you have something to look towards. The whole holiday was a washout. My stepdad is a twat and I have a headache from toothgrinding! We paid for everything and they still didn't thank us! Still, home now with a cuppa!

Agree with your clarification. I need somewhere I can be miserable and bitter, I don't want to be pollyanna!

Buses and impatience have their place, just not here.

D'you know I've never been on a bus? We'd already been ttc for a year when u joined MN and I've never been able to bring myself to join one. I like the 'brooking no argument' thread (though sometimes I get too carried away). But I need to vent as well and talk about how painful it was to have a tube shoved through my cervix

I feel for you based on the description of the holiday. My Ddad has a 'significant other' and we do not get again understatement, can't imagine going on holiday with her! Enjoy being home.

Hey hutties, space for one more with a dire need for a gin and a moan!!!!

I am fed up following my last m/c. I am not sure if it is fully resolved or not, but not able (willing) to go to epu to be messed around. I am on antibiotics for a cough so am hoping that this will deal with any problem in my uterus too. I am still bleeding, 7 days since my supposed period started. I usually only have 2 days bleeding and 3 days spotting. But just before supposed period started I lost the sac (from the pregnancy supposedly lost a month before!!!!). Anyway, I am not sure if it is my cycle gone wacky or I still have retained products??? I am definitely still crampy so something is not right, but how can I stop bleeding, ovulate and start new cycle with retained products still there is baffling. Well if you have read all this waffle - what are you crazy, just feed me some chocolate to shut me up!

For any old timers that don't recognise me I used to be Bexamundo.

OracleInaCoracle · 08/08/2011 10:56

Havealittlefaith, Ikwym re the buses. I used to join, back when I had hope. Now I think ttc is habit rather than actually believing I might get a baby out of it.

Galway, have they run bloods? It does sound like you have some products still in to me!

Lissie - they refused to do bloods when I was m/c. However I have got to negative tests as of a week or so ago, but things are still not right. My dh has been banned from coming anywhere near me just in case things are awry still. I am trying to distract myself, I have visitors staying so that is helping me keep busy. I am going to give is another couple of weeks and see how things go. Sorry I am being a miserable wotsit at the moment. Please forgive and just let me wallow with gin for a bit if that is ok.

OracleInaCoracle · 08/08/2011 22:25

Galway, wallow away. I have to say though, I'm a bit worried. You shouldn't have only just had a bfn. Why the fuck didn't they run bloods? Call tomorrow. Please.

OP posts:
havealittlefaithbaby · 09/08/2011 06:15

galway this is a place to wallow.
Well I'm out for this month. Temp has plummeted and I can just feel af coming. Was a long shot this month anyway what with pain and uti after hsg. Get so tired of it. Ah well at least I can get pissed on my 30th birthday!

queenrollo · 09/08/2011 14:06
Angry I just phoned my consultants secretary to chase up my blood results. No I cannot have a copy (she said 'er why?' 'because they are my results and I want to see them') Anyway - she apologised that no-one had been in touch. Apparently my consultant likes to do the ultrasound himself, but is very busy and so has passed some work onto a colleague. The secretary knew exactly who I was because she boosted my name up the list this morning and I have an appt on the 18th.

What I am really cross about is that she said my notes indicate that I should have an HSG. Yes i said, the Dr i saw said i'd be sent an appt for scan/hsg as they would be done at the same time.
Nope. She sighed heavily and then said I'm very sorry but you should have been told that you have to initiate that by phoning the x-ray dept on the first day of your period. I commented that I knew it was time sensitive and so I was wondering how they were going to work that without speaking to me first.

So i could have had that done already. Angry time is ticking and being wasted by the Dr (not the consultant, he will be cross apparently) not being clear about procedure.

Now i'm possibly going to miss the next opportunity because it's likely to fall over a Bank Holiday weekend.

raahhhhh!!

havealittlefaithbaby · 09/08/2011 14:08

Feel the need to wallow myself/ask advice. DH had sa which showed low motility and count so they said to do further bloods. These show very high prolactin and low testerone (twice). I've read up and they can cause symptoms he's got (low energy, low sex drive). He's been on antidepressants -citalopram- since January. By then we'd already been ttc for a year. Now I've read that medication can cause high prolactin but he was symptomatic before he started the pills...confused and worried. Any clue? I'm dragging him back to the GP asap. Also waiting for af after temp drop so I generally feel like crap :(
Wallow over best go do some work.

havealittlefaithbaby · 09/08/2011 17:40

Well, I've done some gardening so at least that's something productive and looks better.
About the above, I've been thinking about it and realised until DH's health us sorted there's no point worrying about ttc. Similar mentality to you Lissie like you've said (though I get for totally different reasons) no point using contraception but ttc out of habit rather than actually expecting a baby. Think I'll stop charting too. Kind of thinking there's no much point Confused

galwaygal · 09/08/2011 22:51

Lissie, I know I should go to the docs, but I just plain don't trust them. I really am not able to cope with the stupid idiot doctors who will mess me around in every conceivable way (no pun intended!). It was definitely the pregnancy sac that I passed 12 days ago, so I am thinking my body is still confused. I will consider going back to my gp and getting them to refer me to a different hospital, if things don't settle soon. But I think I can risk giving my body another few days to get itself right again. Obviously if I get any severe pain or other worrying signs before then, I will go straight to (the other!) hospital without delay. I think currently thinking that, the antibiotics that I am on for the cough has now given me a urine infection , and that would explain my odd tummy sensations. I will give the good old, "flush out with cranberry juice" a try. Though not sure it goes with the gin here!!!

OracleInaCoracle · 10/08/2011 02:20

how pants. I had something simillar with mine.

Havealittle, I'm sorry. Its utterly shit.

Galway, I understand. Cranberry goes v well with gin! But docs please, soon.

As for me, am mad. I'm in that weird phase where I think "ooo boobs are sore/bigger, maybe" I know I'm not.

I have a tiny stalker issue, so I will be disappearing from using this username. I will still be around but no longer with this name. Is there an underground bunker with this hut?!

OracleInaCoracle · 10/08/2011 08:53

Galway, there is. Pm me your new name? What's happened?

OP posts:
OracleInaCoracle · 10/08/2011 14:28

Ok, someone slap me. I am symptom spotting. Boobs bigger? Check. Boobs sore/heavy? Check. Insomnia? Check. Headache? Check. Weak bladder? Check. BUT by recent trends period isn't due untill next weds. So its too early for symptoms. And we only had sex once around ov thanks to passionkilling fartmonster, so I will not be pregnant. Just delusional. On the plus side had a great idea for next hut, a victorian freak show!
