On BBC 1 now- talking about how the Conservative Party will sort this country out once and for all.

Well, will they?? or is it all hot air?

Im undecided about my vote- Im a Labour voter normally but have become disenchanted by that party- but remain sceptical about the Tories.

Im unsure about DC and his crew.

DC doesn't have a clue about the economy. He hasn't produced one single credible policy, but bangs on about 'efficiency' and the like. As if that is going to help the TITANIC budget defecit.

Our conservative candidate would like 'boxing to be available to all primary school children'. Because that will sort out the education problems...

cornsilk · 06/04/2010 10:45

hot air
Their education manifesto for instance is full of ideas of how education would be under the tories but no description of exactly how they are going to implement their plans. If they can't tell us that it aint gonna happen.

daftpunk · 06/04/2010 10:46

They have said they are the party for the "ignored".. ie; anyone who isn't in a minority group...so I think they will do really well, plus the over 55's will decide this election (apparently)...should be interesting.

LilyBolero · 06/04/2010 10:47

The last I heard on education was that they were going to rewrite the National Curriculum from day 1.

Children would have to sit in 'rows of desks' rather than at group tables, and learn the dates of 'Kings and Queens of England'.

They will be consulting the 'finest minds of our generation' in constructing the curriculum - Carol Vorderman will be advising on maths, Robert Winston on science.....

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

MegSophandEmma · 06/04/2010 10:47

Don't they all say something along the same lines, before each election? All a load of poo IMO

cornsilk · 06/04/2010 10:48

LOLOL!

lolol @ Lily

tiredemma · 06/04/2010 10:52

DC did not fill me with much confidence when he ended his speech with "we cant do much worse than the current lot"

Ill stick with GB and hope that he isnt talking out of his back passage now.

lily it won't link!

DC and his crew are certainly not my dream team to lead this country out of the mire that it is in but I will certainly be voting for them because the Labour party have done everything they possibly can to undermine my family. They are also responsible for some of the worst decisions ever made in politics.

I'm unsure who the Labour party think that they are representing but it's not me for certain.

We need someone with the strength and vision of Lady Thatcher in her prime.

LilyBolero · 06/04/2010 10:56

It's this page www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article7052100.ece

Try cut and pasting it? Otherwise, google Michael Gove Carol Vorderman Robert Winston

sunangel88 · 06/04/2010 10:59

Though IMO not much to choose from between Labour and Tory, Gordon Brown is the lesser of the 2 evils and seems the more sincere.

DC is another Tony Blair - can you see the resemblance? No way am I voting for him, all that insincerity. He'll probably plunge us into yet another useless war.

daftpunk · 06/04/2010 11:00

Lily;

Gordon Brown hired Alan Sugar to advise him how to run the country....

cornsilk · 06/04/2010 11:03

That was very funny. Goldie Hawn will be setting up a school! Also Cheryl Cole can help out 'cos she did a good job with JoeMcElderry. My sides!

LilyBolero · 06/04/2010 11:03

David Cameron exposed

VERY funny!

ilovemydogandmrobama · 06/04/2010 11:03

Finest minds? Carol Vorderman who got a 3rd?

cornsilk · 06/04/2010 11:05

'I?ve been talking to the RSC about bringing Shakespeare into primary schools'
EH? Shakespeare is already in primary schools you noggin.

dawntigga · 06/04/2010 11:05

Of course not, they want your vote. When in power they will preserve the status quo, the rich will get richer and the gap between the haves and have nots will get wider. Oh, and he HAS NO REAL POLICIES!!!!!

cornsilk · 06/04/2010 11:06

Lily your links don't work. Go to the back of the class and learn the names of all the former Kings and Queens of England. That'll sort you out.

LilyBolero · 06/04/2010 11:07

GAH! Why don't they work???

The youtube one is

LilyBolero · 06/04/2010 11:08

ShadeofViolet · 06/04/2010 11:08

Saw him this morning on Sky News. He was out jogging - trying to show off how much energy he is. What an idiot!
