Coming to this rather late, but I feel that NG should be allowed to go on QT.

Look at the experiences that we have seen in Germany in the last 20 years. There have been far right parties, far left parties who have won the "protest vote". At the moment it is the far left Die Linke Partei who are stronger.

Once they are in parliament they disappear in a haze of corruption and uselessness. They are not capable of governance, they can only manage populistic spoutings.

Haider in Austria was the same.

Let them have the microphone and let the people see how ridiculous they are.

Cant people just debate this issue without taking personal pot shots at others????

DP, I hadn't seen all of your comments, only the more sane ones. I think TSC is right, the posts she highlighted were shocking, I admire your steel and balls but think that some of your comments are not in anyway Christian. They really are not.

But it is slightly hypocritical to on one hand bemoan the lack of intelligent posters to debate with and on the other make very personal remarks about another posters circumstances.
