sprinklycheese · 25/02/2009 15:34

Tremendously sad news. I hope he rests in peace.

GetOrfMoiLand · 25/02/2009 15:36

Oh dear me. This is so very sad. Poor baby. Thinking of his family.

I remember David Cameron's Christmas card, the look of tenderness on his face as he looked at Ivan was so touching, I remember welling up when i saw it in the paper. A poster above mentioned that we should not comment on political allegiances etc and I totally agree. Politics aside, this is a dreadful tragedy for this young family. Bless that poor child.

alibug · 25/02/2009 15:40

Oh god. It is really sad. Cant imagine how they are feeling.

roomforthree · 25/02/2009 15:48

How heartbreaking. My thoughts are with Ivan's family.

Sending lots of strength and love to the family x

MrsMcCluskey · 25/02/2009 16:57

Dreadfully sad.

georgimama · 25/02/2009 16:59

a very sad but beautiful article by a lady whose son also has CP and epilepsy

ScummyMummy · 25/02/2009 17:00

Very very sad news.

Blu · 25/02/2009 17:03

Desparately sad.

And how exposed they must feel, there will be so much public sympathy, but their every step of grief will be pored over in the press.

Poor, poor family. An incomprehensible loss.

wannaBe · 25/02/2009 17:04

so very very sad. There are no words really are there? No parent should outlive their child.

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 25/02/2009 17:09

Very, very sad.

Thought Gordon Brown gave a very good, heartfelt speech.

ruty · 25/02/2009 17:11

terribly sad. How extraordinary that he and Brown have had to go such a terrible thing.

BananaSkin · 25/02/2009 17:15

I feel haunted by this news today.

And how terrible having to learn to live life without a disabled child. Their whole home and lives will have been set up to cope with his disabilities. Everytime they bath their children, they will see the special equipment Ivan had for baths etc. I wish them every strength.

Haribosmummy · 25/02/2009 17:15

What a lovely article, Georgimama.

I can't imagine how the Camerons are feeling tonight, but my thoughts are with them.

I feel so so sorry for them. Bad enough to go through the trauma of learning that your child has such a disabilty and then learning to deal with it all and loving that child and then having to deal with the death of that child in full glare of the media.

There will be such a huge gap in their family .

God Riven - it must be scary for you. I thought of you earlier.

How is DD? Why is she in hospital?
