I had this when 16 and gone into hospital with appendicitis. It was late evening and whilst young junior doctor examined me (which included finger up the bum in those days no ultrasounds) he then asked whether I checked my boobs for lumps and then proceeded to check them for me! No chaperone or parent present.
A friend, slightly older had a spinal injury so had a lower body cast. Had to lie in hospital for a number of weeks, had her boobs checked regularly by male doctors. I remember we recounted these stories in front of our parents over a Christmas meal later that year. They were horrified but we just accepted that it happened. I would bloody kill them now if they tried it on with DC of mine

The breast check stories are disturbing. I read a news story recently about a teenage girl under 18 who was forced to take a bed bath, she wanted to wait on her mother. He would not allow her, she was in a mental health unit.
The sexual assault was disturbing. He gave her his phone number afterwards suggesting they meet when she was discharged. Terrifying.
