You just unlocked an unplesant memory. When i was 19 i went to the doctor with terrible tonsilitis, i could barely talk and felt so weak as i hadn't eaten in 3 days. I had put on a t-shirt with no bra and jogging bottoms as it was all i could do that morning before dad drive me to the surgery. The young doctor examined me, but i noticed he kept looking at my chest (i was only a 34A back then). After prescribing my antibiotics he started asking me if i checked my breasts and said i should be doing that and he could show me how. I was shocked but i could hardly talk, i just got out of there asap. I was so ill i ended up in hospital later, i couldn't deal with the incident, and i had no idea what to fo about it anyway. I didn't want to tell my dad, i didn't want to upset him and the words just wouldn't come.

I'm so sorry to hear you got assaulted, i was very lucky that day that i got away before he touched me. Im my case the doctor in question actually got sacked from the practice for having an affair with a receptionist a couple of years later.

Something similar happened to me at the same age with the local GP, who "showed" me how to examine my breasts when giving me a prescription for contraception. No chaperone. I am still unsure about it, tbh.

how can someone marry a self confessed sex addict and have children with them?

why? She can’t say she didn’t know

Not at all just think it all adds up to a possible stitch up.
None of the so called rapes were reported at the time and he’s been hated by the bbc and media for a while for his comments and persona. These women have come forward when they’ve sniffed a payout it seems.

Yeah he could be a rapist or he could ‘just’ be a sexual deviant/fetishist

Why arent they suing him to a civil court where the burden of proof is lower then, Mr Genius?

CarbootJunction · 16/10/2026 11:55

In his defence, many, many, women have literally thrown themselves at him over the years.

That’s not a defence for rape

I wonder how many female gps are showing teenaged girls how to examine their breasts unsolicited? Any gps out there who can confirm?

You make an unsupported assertion that their lives are ruined? They are not the ones whose names are blazoned all over the press and media with spiteful comments from vindictive keyboard warriors.
We don’t yet know what the truth is.

As if men's life is ever ruined...
You can rape someone and become president of the US or be invited to the White House ( Connor Mc Gregor)
There is zero repercussion for rapists ...only for victims who get their names smeared everywhere

thebrowncatisback · 16/10/2026 12:37

Why would anyone take the stand for rape just for fun?

what do these women possibly have to gain?

You do know that discussions evolve? Other women have shared experiences of assault and rape on the thread. Do you think it's all a laugh?

The thread is about Russell Brand.
The people on the incident she referred to are completely unrelated to the discussion about him.
Start a different thread about creepy doctors if you want.

Nobody said it did. And putting a laughing emoji in your reply to someone talking about an upsetting experience is a real dick move.

A wider discussion about the behaviour of predatory men is perfectly relevant.

We don’t know yet that he is.
None of us (I presume) knows him personally -just media stuff.
I really hope jury (and all juries in criminal cases) listen to the evidence without preconceived ideas, or othering their own (tenuous) experience onto a wholly different situation.

Years ago before I left home (so I was under 21) I went to our local GP practice for a rash that had appeared on my calves (I think it was that). I remember having to take my trousers off. Ok I get that but I remembered once I was in my knickers the dr asked me to bend over. I thought why? But hey ho I did it. I fucking wouldn’t do it now.

We're allowed to form our own opinions. Why are you behaving like an authoritarian? I notice you have nothing to say to those accusing the women of lying though, which is arguably slander, they haven't been charged with anything, so it seems you're only interested in policing those who dont share your views?

It seems Clover joined today (or name changed) just to post on this thread. Yo808 is a man (and an absent father with lots of excuses).

lol - have been on MN for many years but current advice on site stuff is to change username regularly to avoid the sort of stalking and pile on demonstrated here 😂

You have no ideas so he hates or loves -you don’t know this person at all.

I reading his replies to posters here.

How do you interpret them? He's accusing women who say they have been raped as being lying grifters only out to fleece a poor helpless celebrity of his money.

And eveb if he did ‘hate women’(despite having a loyal wife?) that does not mean he raped or assaulted the women accusing him.

I think they were talking about the poster, not RB. We can tell what he thinks from the posts.
