Have you had this exact conversation with your friend who was raped?
I'm sure she would feel differently.

Also, I hope you were much more supportive of her situation, and didn't ask if she had simply had a shit time before crying rape.

I imagine the friend is a proper victim, who went to the police straight away, and the accused is a proper rapist, who’s poor and ugly and inadequate and can’t get it any other way unlike RB. Rape myths, rape myths, rape myths.

StickyToffeePuddingAndIceCream321 · 15/10/2026 19:43

He's always repulsed me before any of this came out, there was always something v sleezy about him. I wasn't the least bit surprised when people started to come forward.

Tinydanceer · 15/10/2026 19:43

And the seven charges in the court case aren’t all rapes - 3 rapes I believe and 3 counts of sexual assault and Another indecent assault

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 15/10/2026 19:46

I remember coming on here and many posters were swooning over this pos. I’ve always found him as repulsive and putrid. Not sure how he bagged Katy Perry as a wife?

McChubble · 15/10/2026 19:47

Tinydanceer · 15/10/2026 19:38

She thought he was gay - he wasn’t famous at the time

they were at a conference so it’s believable to me you would go back to your room

From the jury’s perspective, proving rape where a man has been invited back to a hotel room by a woman is difficult. I’m not saying that’s fair or that the woman isn’t being truthful, but that’s the reality of what the prosecution are up against on that particular count. The prosecution are relying on the fact of the number of women who have come forward independently. I hope it will be enough. It’s so brave to come forward at all let alone in such a high profile case.

I’ve been raped and I wouldn’t have dreamt of reporting it because the legal system is so shit for victims.

The thing with this case is that his friend at the time has testified already he was jumpy and acting weird after and said he thought he’d gone to far with something - and I believe made the people with him all up and leave early and was jumpy when hearing a police car near

its about consent - this women clearly did not consent - whether or not they were in her hotel room - and the prosecution will make that point repeatedly

I believe as well there were some text messages later where she said he treated her like an animal and he concurred

let’s hope there is enough evidence - the CPS must think they have a case enough

He finished the marriage by text.

yes she was a ‘proper’ victim, what happened was she went on a date with somebody, and they had walked back to her house, he asked if he can come in to wait for a taxi and she said yes. They were sat on her sofa and he kissed her and she pushed him away and said it was too soon , he then grabbed her and pushed her down on the sofa and raped her while she said no and was crying…
Is that what constitutes a proper rape to you?
Russell brand might have raped someone or most likely since none of these seven women came forward (bullshit), he was just in to doing weird sex with them which they went along because he is famous and then they’ve seen this documentary. It’s really not the same at all is it, unless they did say no, but apart from Brand being a weirdo, I don’t think anyone has claimed that yet?
So it’s really very different isn’t it?

You still haven’t told us how a woman can easily get money from a man without going to court and successfully accusing him of something..
But you know everything so, come on, let’s hear it

Is it your belief they will get money out of Russell Brand from a criminal court?

The victim giving evidence today says she repeatedly said no.

im sorry are you really saying your friend was a proper rape victim? But other women who invite men back to hotel rooms aren’t?

some people will say your friend wasn’t a proper rape victim! She knew him, was on a date, took him back to her house. Maybe she just regretted it after? How would you feel if someone thought that? Some people genuinely think the only rape is a stranger jumping out from a bush and even then let’s hope the woman wasn’t wearing a short skirt!

I am sorry if I’ve misunderstood and you were being sarcastic. I’m really not sure these days!

Ok, you weren’t being sarcastic were you. You actually think this.

she clearly said in her testimony today (from the podcast by two journalists in court) that she repeatedly said no. That’s rape.

She described his body as snake-like and “disgusting” and said his tongue was “horrible” like a lizard. “I’m saying ‘no, no’ but I was really scared,” she told police. “I know he groped me. I know he was touching me, I know he grabbed my breasts. I know he tried to kiss me and I moved my neck. I didn’t want his mouth on mine.
“He was just pulling my trousers down and pulling my underwear off, and he was inside me. It was not nice, it was painful and it hurt.”
Giving evidence from behind a screen in the afternoon, the woman added: “I was like a zombie on the bed. All I could think was he’s inside me and the quicker the better.”

Jimmy Saville was a proven child molester…Hardly the same as Russell Brand.

Jimmy Savile (please note spelling: the man, not the city) was not proved to have been a molester of children (and woman: according to Hunt's apology for not having caught him, Savile had sexually assaulted victims aged between 5 and 75 in NHS hospitals) until after his death. He died in 2011, and the facts started to be published in 2012. His predation was a very open secret in some sections of society, such as the nurses at the various hospitals he frequented, and sixteen-year-old girls in London in the early 1970s, but was covered up by people in authority. And his crimes were either not reported at the time, or minimised and never pursued.

Brand has admitted to sexual abuse of women; in fact he has boasted of it, and is being tried for it in a court of law.

So indeed, not the same as each other.

I haven’t seen or heard anything about her saying she was second guessing if it was rape afterwards. Where was that from please?

Have you been raped?

I have.

I didn't report it at all. I knew there wouldn't be any point and it would be me and my life and my family who would have to suffer the consequences of a trial.
I knew it was unlikely I could prove it.

So I told one friend. Just because I had to.

If some TV channel had asked for survivors of my rapist I would have gone and told them my story in a heartbeat because I would have felt supported and like someone was on my side.

I was drunk and wearing a short skirt and wasn't a virgin when I was raped.
I wouldn't have stood a chance in court.
I would have been ripped apart, judged and dismissed.

Neither do most survivors given that the charge rates through the CPS and Police are 1.3% to 2.7% of REPORTED rape and only 1 in 6 rapes are reported.

Rape accounts for 36% of UK crime.

Remember that's reported rapes which are only 1 in 6 raped women that will report.
That fucking brave woman stands a 54%-63% chance of getting a conviction for the man who attacked her.
That's pretty much 1 in 2 chance.

Seven women say Russell Brand raped them. I imagine there are a lot more women out there as well.

What do you think the odds of these women not telling the truth?

Also he was a VERY prominent and powerful media darling for a long time and men like that seem to get away with murder.

TV seems to have a lot of these men.

I hope these women get their justice. 💐

Unfortunately, the way the system is, I am not holding out much hope.

Honestly don't waste your time with these rape apologists. Some of them will enjoy your response for grim reasons. 💐

‘ I second guessed myself because it was so normal’
Wonder how many people think that when they’re being raped.
Any stats ?
