Why are they all shouting "Shame on You" towards the police - when it was the RNLI who brought them all to shore?

Surly they should be shouting this towards the lifeboat crews....?

Anyone shouting, or advocating for shouting, 'shame on you' at the RNLI are scum. Lowest of the low, pure and simple.

Are you genuinely suggesting that the RNLI should not save lives at sea?

Shouting “shame on you” to people who volunteer to rescue people at sea would really single you out as being a thick cunt.

Repulsive thread. I’m ex RN as is my DH. We used to live there. Over 30 years’ service between us and staunch supporters of the very wonderful RNLI. I remember as a child reading about the incredibly brave Grace Darling.

I am all in favour of the RNLI and think they are incredibly brave in the role they do.

What I don't understand - is why the protesters aim their resentment at the police?

It wasn't the police who brought them ashore, they were moving them to a processing centre.

What were the protesters wanting the police to do - just ignore them and allow them to drift off into the country....?

Because the people doing the shouting are thick.

Hopefully the current right-wing attack on the RNLI will have the same effect as the last one by Farage, a 3000% rise in donations

They perceive the police as upholding the state and they disagree with how the state are handling the situation. Never mind that boat crossing have nearly halved. Facts are irrelevant to thugs. Reason evades them.

They think that there is a massive conspiracy involving the RNLI, and the fact that vessels are monitored crossing the busiest shipping lane in the world is somehow evidence of this.

Send them back to France. There’s no war or danger there or the other multiple countries they have crossed on their journey.
