The Restore Britain March seems to have gone pretty well today from what I can glean online.

It could be a faulty algorithm, but the trouble the PM seemed to think would happen doesn’t seem to have materialised. I’ve seen clips from the march where a diverse mix of people have marched, not just football hooligan types.

Never ever seen or heard that before - in fact MNHQ encourage reporting - it seems to be a piece of personal 'etiquette' - and de-rails your own thread

No. What’s derailing the thread is the constant accusations of trolling, bots and shills which then led to the reporting 🙈

Reported.

This is not directed at you OP, it's just an observation.

Reform folk/ Trump fans do go in for this "deleted post" thing. It helps them when making their point of "see the hatred on the other side".

It is your thread, but really, is it not better to leave the flow of conversation for all readers to see ? Rather than have loads of posts deleted.

TemperanceWest · 17/05/2026 09:36

I am not personally attacking you, I am asking a question. You of course don't have to answer. Silence speaks volumes, though.

And I answered your question. I wrote a thread about a current news story in the news section of a discussion forum. Unless you think I’m literally sitting in your front room talking about it having woken you up early.

Pmsl. I saw videos on my social media which is literally why I mentioned my algorithm in the first post. I think you are troll hunting which AGAIN is against the rules 🙈🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

It isn't troll hunting to repost two contradictory posts you've made.

I don’t agree. I think there is a militant subsection of posters on this site that throw personal attacks at people whenever they don’t submit to the online orthodoxy . They try to cancel instead of debate and I think it’s really problematic.

You are talking nonsense. You are hoping you can post a Gotcha but your problem is there is no Gotcha.

Apologies that I missed it. When did you post your response, please? I am having trouble finding it. Thanks.

I agree! The fact that people think that those who don’t support reform are left wing just shows how far the Overton window has shifted to the right. It’s shocking

Thank you! I just cannot bear the automatic labelling as soon as any alternative viewpoint is offered.

LoveHearts69 · 17/05/2026 09:55

When I see pictures from these marches it always makes me think of Greg James when he said ‘racists really are ugly aren’t they’ 😅

I don't think you understand anything about deportation..

Maybe not. I left the UK 50 years ago. And when I see threads like this I thank my lucky stars that I don’t live there.

So much more upsetting than hearing people talk in glowing terms about white power marches.

I think you’ve done that thing of lumping everyone into one mindset. I haven’t ‘argued’ anything. I noted it seemed to have gone ahead with few problems which I thought was a good thing seeing that they’d policed it as though there would be rioting.

Have you considered that the high level policing and banning 11 extremist speakers was actually an effective way of preventing rioting?

Monty36 · 17/05/2026 09:57

Trouble did not happen because the police managed it.
There would be people there who most certainly would have been there for a fight. That is the strange attraction for them. The police picked people off from railways stations etc due to facial recognition doing its job, which helped.
A riot did not happen because of technology, intelligence and the police. Not because everyone there were all on a happy family friendly day out.

If you allow people to talk you might just change their views. If you scream racist at them you will just entrench their mindset.

It might have been. If that’s what did it then that was a great idea.

That'll help I'm sure.

You’ve said it seemed to be peaceful and to include a diverse group of people celebrating their country. While you’re not among those on this thread promoting far right talking points, I do feel that you’re ignoring and actively downplaying how unpleasant and scary it is for non-white people and Muslims to have thousands of drunken people congregating in London with white supremacy and Islamophobia on open display.

xanthomelana · 17/05/2026 09:59

LilyCanna · 17/05/2026 09:41

Those arguing that the march was a peaceful expression of valid political views may have missed posts on this thread about marchers shouting racial abuse at passers by, as well as extreme drunkenness and intimidating anti-social behaviour. Reposting for the benefit of @EvangelicalAboutButteredToast @BatchCookBabe @dyzzie @xanthomelana @Hunterova and others.

Surely there would have been more arrests if that really happened. Which march had to be told to remove their face masks and why did they even wear them in the first place? If people are passionate enough about protesting then show your face.

I can well believe it, hence why I said it could just be my algorithm. I also said I’m absolutely sure there will be an extremist element operating just like there is in all the marches.

Restore Britain, my arse. Nothing to restore, last time I checked. Nobody's invaded it and flattened it with bombs or anything. Place was fully functional last time I checked. Is this about all the pot-holes?

Greenwitchart · 17/05/2026 09:37

Pics on social media show a tiny turnout and a bunch of brainless idiots waving crosses and flags and urinating in the streets...

Vile all around but really a proof that only a tiny minority support Robinson and his disgusting views.

Waving crosses, laughable.

I said it’s online etiquette to say when you have reported a post. It saves MNHQ receiving multiple report posts at one time.
