Musk has just tweeted that Trump is on the Espstein list. Shock horror, not! :-) This is going to roll and roll. USA elected children to run the country and to be the leader of the Western World! Popcorn at the ready......

I fully expect the people behind Trump to "suddenly discover" he's medically unfit.

Even if he hasn't changed at all since they put him in.

I imagine Musk would be happy for Vance to take over, and I imagine Vance would happily work with Musk to make it happen. Vance was put there by Musk's mate after all, it wouldn't be too surprising if Vance, Theil and the other tech goons are plotting as we speak.

Musk has retweeted that Trump should be impeached and Vance should take over.

I wonder what role drugs play in this for both of them. They both appear a little 'over medicated' at times. There have been many accusations of Musk being a ketamine addict.

Yes. The sole 'benefit' of Trump is that he has no real beliefs at all and no meaningful political ideology. However, Vance does, and we should all be worried about the possibility of a Vance presidency.

Doesn't seem at all far fetched to me that a 78 year old man could suddenly die. It's what a lot of them do at that age in the natural course of things. Ideal cover frankly.

@MrsBennetsPoorNerves fair point about Musk being smarter. However, lots of people actually seem to like/worship Trump, baffling as that is. Not sure that's true of Musk.

Enjoying the whole 🍿 of the spat though. I personally thought it'd come sooner given both their egos and extreme thin skinned ness.

I think if they are plotting anything, it is how to deal with Trump's state of mind.

He keeps repeating himself. No matter who he has invited to the White House, if you follow his speeches - and you have to be a bit of a masochist to do that - it is the same dialogue with just a few changes.

He cannot be reading from a fool cue as that would be too obvious to the visitor, so I assume he learns a lot of it parrot fashion.

The reason why Vance stepped in and shouted at President Zelensky was because when President Zelenskyy raised the invasion of 2014, Trump started to say ''wasn't it 2015'' and he had to be stopped. That was not the first time Trump has had a funny turn and it won't be the last.

Vance has had a lot of criticism from some important quarters and is playing it cool for the present. Time will tell, but with the going of Musk, there could be a change in Vice President.

If I were Trump I would have a food taster and a blood test twice a week.

I'm remembering when Musk did the same thing about Farage saying Rupert Lowe should take over Reform.

Not sure either but I do wish the Democrats would take this as a sign to massively move up whatever plans they may have had to find their next Presidential candidate. They need to find a big hitter who can take on whatever is left standing in the White House at the end of this term. No shade to Harris, who I thought did as well as could have been hoped with a last minute campaign, but it'll need to be a man to stand any chance too given the sexism she faced.

Vance is scary but like Musk, he has a likability problem. The MAGA crew will fight to the death, bizarrely and irrationally, to defend Trump. People don't have that for Vance. Unless he swerves very quickly in the 'let's not even bother with any more elections' direction, then he could have a problem if the Democrats find anyone decent to stand. Aware it's a big if though.

It's just such a nice change from their being petty and malicious and spiteful to everybody else in America.

Incidentally, the almost equally appalling Steve Bannon has been saying that Trump should deport Musk as an illegal alien.

It's an inevitable ego clash because Trump's policies are bad for Elon's business. I don't think Trump's ego would ever let him back down on his tariff policy. I don't think it's staged; I think it's actually caused by the bill and is not a distraction from it. (I live near DC.)

What I don't understand is why Elon ever thought Trump wouldn't actually do what he said. (Trump's immigration policies are also bad for Musk & Silicon Valley as a whole.)

This won't actually stop what trump is trying to do, though, and it could become a distraction if the media spends too much time on it instead of what's happening on Capitol Hill where the bill is being negotiated.

That is nothing new, lots of people knew and were on friendly terms with Epstein, people from all walks of life and many different countries. He cultivated superficial friendships with high profile people, people like him always do - but they do not have real friends, can't afford to risk that.

I am so happy. The coalition of Musk & Trump, plus religious conservatives, is a conflagration waiting to catch fire. Hopefully it will explode before US is damaged too much...
