Musk has just tweeted that Trump is on the Espstein list. Shock horror, not! :-) This is going to roll and roll. USA elected children to run the country and to be the leader of the Western World! Popcorn at the ready......

I said (as did many) that this moment would come. Amazed it happened so quickly.

Musk will always have known about Trump and Epstein…..but have been prepared to ignore it while it suited him. Now he acts all morally outraged. Fucking hypocrite. He couldn’t care less.

hope Trump deports him though. Can’t stand either of them. When do we think ICE will come for him?

fixingmylife · 05/06/2025 23:05

I think I would as well..... It beggars belief...
'Merica what have you done!

I agree. Wouldn't have thought anyone could be worse than Trump, but the thought of Vance is utterly terrifying.

MrsBennetsPoorNerves · 05/06/2025 22:42

Can't really see how it would help to restore the reputation of Musk's companies if he tells the world that Trump's policies are all shit and that Trump is covering up his involvement in the whole Epstein thing. I mean, we've all seen Musk playing best buddies with Trump over the last few months, and Musk himself has claimed credit for getting Trump elected. So it doesn't exactly reflect well on him!

Because Elon was so arrogant he forgot who actually buys electric cars. You know, those pesky little people, the buyers.

Overwhelmingly they are environmentally conscious people, with left-leaning sensibilities most often Democrat or independent voters.

They're not climate sceptic, gas guzzling, prepping for the apocalypse, two things they'll never take from me are my truck and my guns, frack baby frack, Trumper Republicans.

By creating tension and drama and pretending to suddenly hate Trump, Elon is hoping to win that buyer base back. The anti-Trump base. The Republican base isn't where it's at. He realised that albeit late.

What's going to happen to the South African refugees who are apparently victims of a genocide that Trump brought over?

EconomyClassRockstar · 05/06/2025 23:11

Well, it's certainly extremely entertaining but I think that's the whole point. Musk is either playing his hand brilliantly or is just completely imploding. I'm just glad we sold our Tesla shares months ago and didn't buy a Cybertruck!

I haven't been following this enough. Is it true they were they given farms to manage in the USA?

OMG! I'd prefer Trump to Vance and I can't believe I've just typed that! 🤮🤢

Right! I'm disgusted, but Trump really is the lesser of the two evils ☹️

Snorlaxo · 05/06/2025 23:15

I’m surprised that they made it to inauguration day tbh.

The breakup was inevitable.

BadDinner · 05/06/2025 22:35

It's a carefully calculated farce.

Pretending to publicly fall out with Trump and not to agree with some Trumpian initiatives, is an attempt for Elon to distance himself and by extension his companies and win them back some buyer attention again as sales of Tesla's have been falling stateside and here in Europe.

Come on who didn't already know Trump was chummy with Epstein? It's throw the crowd a bone stuff. I don't buy that he's completely out of the loop and not still advising the administration or welding any influence there.

I think they agreed this plan together with their advisors. The latest back and forth looks a little too antagonistically perfect, if that makes any sense.

Interesting though. I wonder if people fall for it and the value of his companies rise again?

I agree and also think the Zia Zusuf resignation is also linked somehow.

SwedishEdith · 05/06/2025 23:27

The only positive about Vance is that no one likes him. The Republicans won because of Trump in the same way Reform's popularity is due to Farage - and look how they keep imploding.

The Trump/Epstein claims aren't new though, are they? MAGAs believe what they want to believe so not sure this would make any difference. What would be hilarious is Musk claiming he definitely interfered with the election.

cryptide · 05/06/2025 23:27

Has Musk only just noticed that the tariffs could cause a recession? Because otherwise you'd have to wonder why he didn't say anything when they were first announced.

JD Vance would chuck Trump under the bus instantly if he thought he could take over as President.

JD was put in the WH by Thiel who is Musk’s big buddy. My money is on Trump going one way or another and replaced by Vance. As Carole Cadwalladr said, never ever underestimate Peter Thiel who plays the long game.

Or producing proof that the Russians helped to fix the election.

It'll go on for weeks.

If we are lucky they'll try and declare war on each other.

Elon will set his satellites and automatic cars on Trump, whilst Trump will try and nuke Elon. Of course this won't go to plan as they'll be a court order blocking Trump and Elon will suffer a technical.

That would be like the gift that keeps on giving, wouldn’t it? This is literally the only good thing to have come out of his presidency so far - the entertainment is top notch.

ColinCaterpillarsNo1Fan · 05/06/2025 23:28

I think reform, Musk & our mate Tommeh might be hanging out together soon.

rumblegrumble · 05/06/2025 23:30

I did think it was probably all a setup to try and restore Musk's reputation, but I can't believe it would go this far if that were the case. It's going to make them both look terrible - the paedophile and the guy who was fine being mates with the paedophile (and letting him play with his son...) so long as he was getting paid. Fuck me, dunno how he's going to get out of this one!

Interesting. I don't know anything about Thiel, I will have to do some reading.

PyongyangKipperbang · 05/06/2025 23:34

Two massive ego's, one who thinks he rules the world and one who thinks he owns the universe......and they fall out. Who could have predicted that?!

They both thought they could use the other to promote their own interests, and will end up with them both on their arses!

Its fucking hilarious!

RedToothBrush · 05/06/2025 23:36

What a shame Musk can't run for President.

Instead he's going to talk about setting up a new political party just to try and fuck off Donnie. Yep I bet he will try and cosy up to Farage. That'd be amusing. Farage then gets to play peacemaker or piggies in the middle. And hopefully gets trampled in the handbags at down.

Musk will have a sudden overdose or Trump will suddenly have a medical overdose. Then they'll pretend their best buds to try and make even more money.

SabrinaThwaite · 05/06/2025 23:42

Trump falls out with everyone sooner or later. His first presidency was littered with key people leaving and Trump rubbishing them.

But Musk - after all the DOGE hype it’s going to be interesting.

noblegiraffe · 05/06/2025 23:42

Why would he cosy up to Farage? He already fell out with Farage over Tommy Robinson and said he wasn't fit to lead Reform and Rupert Lowe should lead it instead.

An interesting, obviously very intelligent and scary man.

Huge libertarian and (was?) long time Trump supporter but likely looking to put his man in the big chair at the WH.

Totally disagree. It was always inevitable that they’d fall out - it was just a matter of when. Both massive egos with completely conflicting agendas. Arseholes.

lostinthesunshine · 05/06/2025 23:45

I did wonder at the time if Trump gave Elon the black eye.
