What would your sentence be for these three?
Sentencing tomorrow.

Whole life. (If I had my way, I would also put details of exactly what they did on a big poster on display on the wall of their prison wing).

prh47bridge · 17/12/2024 13:02

And now we know. Minimum of 40 years for him, 33 years for her.

HaveANiceFuckingDay · 17/12/2024 13:04

16 years to spend 2/3rds for the uncle as well

Growsomeballswoman · 17/12/2024 13:04

They will be segregated. Nowhere near the general population

DeepLimeBird · 17/12/2024 13:04

Judge absolutely hammered them, I don’t think I’ve heard of such long sentences when it’s not a stranger murder. God love you Sara

MagnoliaGirlie · 17/12/2024 13:06

I wish I could hug this poor little girl. Show her what love and safety feels like. Give her all the love in the world that she deserved. I cannot stop crying for her.

48wheaties · 17/12/2024 13:07

Yeah, the judge completely slammed those awful people. Throw away the keys!

Cafecontribution · 17/12/2024 13:07

Just listened to the sentencing. That poor poor girl. May she rest in peace.

Flicitytricity · 17/12/2024 13:09

What amazes me is, knowing the terror she lived in, how happy she seemed to be.
It's incredibly sad, that poor little girl.

Nanny0gg · 17/12/2024 13:12

Tubetrain · 16/12/2024 22:41

Whole life tariff.

Yes. Meaning Life

thequeenoftarts · 17/12/2024 13:12

Thankfully the judge in this case did his job correctly. He handed out long sentences for them all. I am glad Sara's murder has been avenged, for her sake. ( should have never happened at all)The poor little mite, my heart breaks for her. I am so sorry little one, you were let down so badly.

Now lets start asking the questions that need to be asked from social workers, teachers, police, neighbours, the home schooling process. Any adult that turned a blind eye to her abuse needs to be punished too.

TheFrendo · 17/12/2024 13:13

Death.

Birdscratch · 17/12/2024 13:13

Good sentences. I hope the jury is given support after the evidence they’ve had to see and hear.

TheMousePipes · 17/12/2024 13:13

I hope they accidentally leave the gates open so the rest of the prison population can help them understand what people think of people who torture defenceless children. Death is too good for the pair of them.

Runingoncaffeine · 17/12/2024 13:13

Tbh, I think he is showing signs of remorse and at least is showing some emotion, which is more than can be said for the step mother. I saw a clip of her being interviewed and she appeared emotionless, it was chilling. It doesn’t make it right of course.

They should both get life in prison, and for that to mean, they stay in there until they die I’m afraid. Prison sentences are also about protecting the public, and with the father’s history, and killing his own daughter, he most certainly shouldn’t be mixing with the general public. Same with the step mom. I am less aware of the uncles involvement tbh, that’s not as clear to me, so I don’t feel I can comment on him.

Don’t agree with torture, as that’s stooping to their level.

RIP Sara

Babycatsarenice · 17/12/2024 13:14

Sent back to Pakistan for the death penalty instead of us having to pay for their prison care which is very expensive

riverislandjeans · 17/12/2024 13:14

Absolutely awful listening to what she went through.
How can people harm a child like that? They are defenceless and as parents they trust us to look after them and protect them.
RIP Sara.
May those involved rot in hell.

I haven't followed the case in great detail - just couldn't face the grimness of it all but if I recollect they co-operated/agreed to return from Pakistan without too much of a fight. Nothing redeeming about that though as the cowards knew for certain that they would be hanged there for this crime.

The persistent terrible treatment of this young child deserves a whole life tariff as a punishment, and as a deterrent for future cruel fuckers.

I expect they'll get 30 years.

The family in pakistan forced them to return to UK ... according to judges sentencing remarks.

itsalwaysthesame · 17/12/2024 13:16

I think for certain crimes like the torture and murder of an innocent child should carry the death penalty. Spending 30 years in a prison, receiving meals, washing facilities, education / work opportunities, possibly even therapy then, to be released, rehoused and undoubtedly funded by the state in most cases, what use do these people serve? complete waste of money.

The UK prison service is too soft and too comfortable, if it were a jail somewhat like they have in Syria for example, I think I'd feel some justice, not here though. Why else did they fly back to the UK.

Hopefully they'll be left out for other inmates to repay some of what they did to that poor child.

Almostwelsh · 17/12/2024 12:47

I think whole life terms are reserved for serial killers, but both the father and stepmother will get life.

I think April jones' murderer got a whole life tariff? and he wasn't a serial killer.

riverislandjeans · 17/12/2024 13:16

Growsomeballswoman · 17/12/2024 13:04

They will be segregated. Nowhere near the general population

...and this is the problem! They will be protected.

Let the other prisoners at them and they can endure the abuse they inflicted on that little girl.

I think he only showed emotion because he's shit scared of spending his life in prison, not because of remorse for torturing Sara.

MyBigFatGreekSalad · 17/12/2024 12:27

I'd chose life in prison. Death penalty would be the easy way out for these monsters, they'll have the worst time in prison and hopefully be treated far worse than they treated that poor innocent little girl.

Why should we pay for their board and lodging for the next 25 years? Get rid of them.

BobbyBiscuits · 17/12/2024 13:19

Hard labour. Digging holes with no PPE. Working outdoors in the rain without proper clothing. Doing dirty jobs like cleaning out sewers without proper PPE. No contact with any other person except their prison guards. Porridge with water only. Then if they die, oh well. No loss.

anniegun · 17/12/2024 13:19

Good, long life sentences. Looks like the right outcome. British prisons are not soft places to be in (despite the Daily Mail's view). They will be lucky to live to the point they will be released given their ages
