Absolutely shocking. A 26 year old man named as Kyle Clifford, believed to be armed with a crossbow, is being sought by police.
The dead women are aged 61, 28 and 25.

The survivor is the one currently suffering, so

this response actually makes me feel sick.

Normallynumb · 10/07/2024 15:27

This is truly abhorrent. Those Poor Poor women.
I wonder if they named him so quickly as there has already been police involvement.
Fingers crossed they find him before he takes the cowards way out

This statistic deserves to be repeated again and again, because most people are unaware.

I believe it's almost three a week now.

Goodness, you're right 👍

The WOMEN only suffered when they were BRUTALLY MURDERED

No no @Fannyfiggs . Their suffering is IRRELEVANT because it's over. So it doesn't count anymore.

Dontcallmescarface · 10/07/2024 15:29

I'm not going to comment on the NAMALT views but I will say this. It's awful what has happened, but why are the only people being named are the victim's husband/father and the person who murdered them? Do those poor women not have names or their own identities?

maudelovesharold · 10/07/2024 15:30

Your NAMALT is not wanted.

Neither is your policing of the thread. It’s in the ‘news’ section of ‘Talk’, so I don’t believe that means there is a veto on NAMALT responses to ‘aren’t men fucking awful’ comments.

diddl · 10/07/2024 15:30

Bloody hell.

3 women have been brutally murdered and posters can turn it into an argument.

Their names are

Carol, Hannah and Louise

Say it louder ❤️

I’m so incredibly tired and infuriated of these stories of men murdering women and equally tired of the NAMALT brigade. I’ve lost count of how many reports I’ve read just in the past week of men murdering women and children including the horrific story from Sydney https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cg3egwnq0veo.amp

It’s utterly unimaginable the pain, fear and suffering that those women suffered being murdered and seeing their Mother, Sister and Daughters killed and yet as always we have posters who are far more concerned about men’s feelings than women’s safety.

All this crap about it being only a few men who do this when it’s at least a twice weekly occurrence in the UK alone and that’s murder alone not all of the other abuse and sexual assaults that are regularly inflicted upon women by men.

Allegations that a father killed three of his children in a blaze have highlighted a crisis of family violence.

One saving grace is at least they know who they’re looking for, so only have to concentrate on finding the brute rather than working out who the perpetrator is and then having to find them. Rest peacefully Carol, Hannah and Louise. Deepest sympathy thoughts and prayers to John and his family. Please God is found soon.

So do we believe in capital punishment? This man deliberately went to kill his ex girlfriend and killed two other family members presumably just because they were there.
All those people who bleat on about possible miscarriages of justice isn’t this a clear cut case where the death penalty is required?

No. Murder is murder, whether committed by an individual or sanctioned by the state. I want justice for Carol, Hannah and Louise, not revenge.

SouthLondonMum22 · 10/07/2024 15:35

Absolutely awful.

It’s happening too much and it needs to stop.

Forget NAMALT, it should be TMWAD. Too many women are dying.

The focus should be on women. Finally. Why does it always have to come back to men?

Prawncow · 10/07/2024 15:35

Another woman (and her sister and mother) murdered by an ex partner. Something has to change. This can’t go on.

TorturedPoetsDepartmentAnthology · 10/07/2024 15:35

Carol, Hannah and Louise have been named. They released photos too. May they rest in peace and may justice be served for their tragic and unnecessary deaths.

Yes. Ignore the NAMALT brigade. They're not worth our oxygen.

Just seen this on the news. Those poor poor women They must have been petrified. Dying in fear

They have been named on all media sources. Because the husband /father is well known, that's the name many commentators will resonate with.

R.I.P. CAROL, HANNAH, and LOUISE..............😢

RJnomore1 · 10/07/2024 15:37

Not all men ARE like that. However far too bloody many are. And it needs addressed.

But could we perhaps stop to think about the person who happens to be a man, but has done no wrong, who came home to find his entire family obliterated LAST NIGHT and who is another, different, victim of male violence too? I don’t think it’s at all necessary to shout people out for pointing that out and to claim you care about the three women who were killed at the same time. It’s possible to understand a woman is a person in their own right and also part of a family, a network and a community who also are impacted by male violence you know.

ExpectoPatronums · 10/07/2024 15:18

I have never ever met a man who would commit an offence like this. It is not a staggering proportion of them, its is a very very small minority.

Of course you have. DV is everywhere and it's luck which of these monsters kills a woman most of the time. I work in housing and get to look under the rocks. The world is full of violent men, most of whom never get a chat from the police.

His neighbours had met him, they said he seemed a nice normal bloke. So I don't think that meeting someone is enough to state that they wouldn't commit an offence.

murasaki · 10/07/2024 15:40

RIP Carol, Hannah and Louise. Yet more names for Jess Phillips' list. It will never end.

If as looks likely, his brother is already inside for murder, their parents must be so proud.

JenniferBooth · 10/07/2024 15:40

RIP Carol Hannah and Louise Flowers

Who very likely lost their lives at the hands of a man who doesnt like hearing the word no

You know what - I'm with @needtonamechangeforthis1 on this one. I'm not going to voice an opinion on this any which way because this thread is being absolutely taken over. I understand why, but the vast majority of posters here, both NAMALT and the opposing, are just using this to voice their view. It's unacceptable. I don't give a damn what view point you have on male on female violence, this isn't the place for it. This is a place to recognise three people have been horrifically killed leaving behind distraught families, not to use this for your own agenda - ANY of you. You want to (rightly) discuss man on female violence I suggest another thread is created that centers that, not uses a murder.
It's sickening. Stepping away now.

Totally agree.
