Absolutely shocking. A 26 year old man named as Kyle Clifford, believed to be armed with a crossbow, is being sought by police.
The dead women are aged 61, 28 and 25.

"Mothers of sons {and daughters} really owe a responsibility to society as a whole to parent their child/ren adequately, so they don't turn into hot headed killers out for revenge".

Why is it the fault of mothers? What about controlling, abusive, absent fathers? Boys need good, male role models. If they don't have good, engaged, strong father figures, they will find male role models elsewhere and those men may not be the good sort.

What? I can't imagine anything turning me into a murderer (killing someone to protect myself and others is different but that's not what happened here).

My money is on the likelihood that poor upbringing is at least partially responsible - a sense of entitlement, poor boundary setting and a lack of emotional regulation both from one or both of the parents and in helping the child to regulate their own emotions.

My money is on their dad modelling violence to his sons. You don't raise two extremely violent men (at least one of whom was also extremely misogynist) by accident.

So male violence is still a woman's fault then?

You tell me!?

A weak or absent father has long been known to not bode well for boys.

The brother is already in prison for murder! I would very very much want to know what sort of family set-up they had growing up. Are the parents together? Where is the mother? How many siblings are there?

Another rage-driven male killing an ex-partner and every other female in the vicinity. I'm so angry. I hope the police get to him before he takes the coward's way out like they usually do.

I'm furious too. Over and over again women are killed by vengeful men.

I agree. It's far less likely that it was their mother who was the problem than that their father modelled violent, abusive behaviour.

Exactly this.

Trenched · 10/07/2024 17:37

I've seen reports that he's dead. Such a shame, he deserved to rot in prison for the rest of his life.

I think some are just born bad, nothing to do with upbringing.

Hell of a coincidence getting two of those in the same family, wouldn’t you say?

Runsyd · 10/07/2024 17:40

oakleaffy · 10/07/2024 17:28

Exactly this.
The first murdering brother used a car to be his ego boost, and when it was damaged, instead of going to police and claiming on insurance, he beat to death a male pillion passenger on a moped.

This murderer - Probably had one of the victims say ''no'' to him, and he flew inti a demented rage.

Mothers of sons {and daughters} really owe a responsibility to society as a whole to parent their child/ren adequately, so they don't turn into hot headed killers out for revenge.

Christopher Watts, USA - he had a very unhealthy relationship with his mother and a weak father.

We need to look at how children are reared, surely.

It is possible to bring up decent human beings who can take a ''no'' without turning into a monster.

Hang on. What about their bloody fathers! Male violence is not women's fault.

This is part of the problem. Putting the blame on women when there is another parent.

Fathers are just as responsible.

ZoeCM · 10/07/2024 17:42

No, it's not all men. But let's be honest: when Jay Slater was reported missing, how many people thought, "Oh God, I hope a woman hasn't raped and murdered him"? If a woman his age had gone missing, many people's first thought would have been that a man had done exactly that to her. Male violence is so prevalent that society just takes it for granted.

What on earth?! JFC what a terrible tragedy. How will the husband and father ever come to terms with it.

TarantinoIsAMisogynist · 10/07/2024 17:42

RIP Carol, Hannah and Louise.

It's heartbreaking just how many women are killed by men - it's so common that we don't even hear about every case in the news. And it is always fucking men. Even before the full story came out, we all knew who was likely to have done it, and why. It's always the same bloody story.

I also feel for the family left behind. John Hunt and his other daughter, and all their family and friends who will be so badly affected by this. The whole thing is horrific.

I hope he’s caught very soon, but there’s no punishment sufficient for such horror.
Its terrifying and bewildering how some men behave.

I agree😞

Two killers in one family? That's likely upbringing.

Well they aren’t, do you know men who do this, I certainly don’t. Yes men kill as do women. Shit people are shit people. Irrelevant of gender. When we saw the recent case of women killing babies, little star to name one, did we say all women are awful. When we saw the woman charged with sexually abusing her pupils, did we say all women are awful. When we saw the woman abusing her partner and being sent to jail. Did we say fucking hell. Women are awful

no. Some men are awful as are some women.

Absolutely fuck off with this attitude.

“Not all men”. Yeah, well why is it always all women who have experienced some sort of violent, coercive or sexual abuse from a man?

My male cousin beat one of his ex girlfriends and gave her black eyes, bald patches and a split lip. I went to school with a woman who was murdered by her partner aged 26. My friends sister was stabbed and almost killed by the father of her children.

So yes, I do know men like this. And I’m sure a hell of a lot of other women do too. Yourself included. You’re just too narrow minded to accept it.

Just look at the amount of threads of here by vulnerable woman who are being physically, sexually, financially and emotionally abused by their partners and husbands. READ THEM!!!!

That's it blame a woman for this....🙄

Considering they share DNA, it proves the consideration that it can be nature and not just nurture.

Plenty of people have awful, violent and abusive upbringings yet don't go around murdering others.

Yes, and the interaction of those things; the interaction of genetic and socialisation based predispositions.

It proves nothing of the kind.

They were brothers, so shared 50% of their DNA. And they also probably shared an upbringing.
