Absolutely shocking. A 26 year old man named as Kyle Clifford, believed to be armed with a crossbow, is being sought by police.
The dead women are aged 61, 28 and 25.

Horrific. The man being searched for is the ex boyfriend of one of the daughters, it seems.

And why am I not surprised?
Men killing women again.
Bonus points for some kind of relationship.

Too many female murders to hit the news, but my friend’s grandchild lost her mother to an ex boyfriend this week too.

NAMALT 🙄

Swollenandgrouchy · 10/07/2024 16:52

I hope they find the bastard before he is able to take the cowards way out. I’m not hopeful though.

I can’t even bare to the think about what those three women must have gone through.

RIP Louise, Hannah and Carol.

@FatmanandKnobbin it isn't my main concern, don't speak for me. My main concern is the poor man who has lost his loved ones and their friends and family. And of course the victims, that goes without saying. But I'm not angry towards all men. I'm angry at him.

I agree with you. I think we can express our horror at these senseless murder at the same time as and feel for their husband/father. Their suffering is over; his has just started. We cannot rank suffering. Suffering is suffering.

hari27 · 10/07/2024 16:55

This is just beyond words.

Many years ago I did a safer contact course with a man called Calvin Bell. He trained people in specialist risk assessments in domestic abuse cases. He spoke a great deal about cross bows and the increase in use. Even twenty years ago I was shocked and every time I hear those words now it takes me back to his course.

Just incomprehensible.

I’m so fucking angry. This rag of humanity didn’t like that a woman said No to him. Scum.

RIP Carol, Louise, and Hannah

Three more victims of an “ordinary” men.

When are we going to tax ALL men to pay reparations for the everyday violence their sex metes out on women?

We should know their names. Thank you.
Let us not forget the victims

Luminousalumnus · 10/07/2024 14:25

There's speculation that this person is the brother of another murderer Bradley Clifford.

Their parents must be so proud.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 10/07/2024 16:57

For the record, though I doubt it will do me any good on this thread, I think it is truly appalling these three women have been murdered, by a man. I dread to think what they went through before they were killed - it really doesn't bear thinking about.

As a society we need to look at why some men react to not always getting their own way by resorting to horrific acts of violence, often against women, and to do something about it.

Theyearwas1973 · 10/07/2024 16:59

RIP you beautiful women, such a waste and just awful for their family to have to deal with, how do you ever come to
terms with such horror?

I hope amongst hope that evil bastard doesn’t take his own life. If he thinks he such a man that he can do this then he needs to pay dearly for what he’s done.

StaunchMomma · 10/07/2024 16:59

Agree that he's most likely to be found dead, the bastard.

Really hope he slips up and a member of the public sees/reports him.

What a world we live in.

Unless you know otherwise why drag the parents into it.

Newgirls · 10/07/2024 17:03

my heart goes to the women

Another appalling, sick and weak man ffs

why are crossbows for sale at all? I hope we can ban them.

EmmaPeele · 10/07/2024 17:03

@Oxo01 Please be careful keep yourself safe if he's in your area!

MorrisZapp · 10/07/2024 17:04

Looks like they've found him in Enfield. Paramedics present.

Swollenandgrouchy · 10/07/2024 17:04

Apparently a load of armed police have rushed into a cemetery ? It may not mean anything … I just hope they find him

Chartreux · 10/07/2024 17:05

Scorchio84 · 10/07/2024 14:47

well just say nothing then, no need for any comment

Who made you thread police?

CollyBobble · 10/07/2024 17:05

Thoughts are with John Hunt who won't see his daughters get married and have children who he would have been grandad to and the loss of growing old with his wife and enjoying g retirement etc.

His whole world ripped apart and his loved ones taken from him.

I think that poster was referring to the neighbours

Two murdering sons?

What is the statistical likelihood of that?

Something genetic /mental health /or they were raised very poorly?

Personally I’m sick of people trying to tell others what they can and can’t post. It’s up to mumsnet admin to decide that not Uber posters leaping on someone else’s tragedy like it’s their own. I’m just as sickened that yet another ex boyfriend appears to have been able to do this but I can still be respectful to others and disagree without resorting to swearing unlike some posters. I’m more pissed off with the courts and police forces that are still failing to take stalking and harassment seriously.

I agree. The number of people jumping onto this thread mainly in order to be aggressive towards other women and police their posts is really quite sickening.

It doesn't go without saying. Or at least it shouldn't do.

It should be the first concern. And women should be able to rage and vent before being reasonable. It's like telling someone who is angry to simmer down.
It doesn't work, isn't appropriate and causes more rage. I don't care about your feelings or whether you're offended. I just care about these women. Anything else can wait.

I imagine if your sibling murders someone it will do a turn on your mental health yes.

But we don't know what the case is here

RancidRuby · 10/07/2024 17:09

Roseyjane · 10/07/2024 14:27

Well they aren’t, do you know men who do this, I certainly don’t. Yes men kill as do women. Shit people are shit people. Irrelevant of gender. When we saw the recent case of women killing babies, little star to name one, did we say all women are awful. When we saw the woman charged with sexually abusing her pupils, did we say all women are awful. When we saw the woman abusing her partner and being sent to jail. Did we say fucking hell. Women are awful

no. Some men are awful as are some women.

Oh for goodness sake, I can't believe I have to point this out, but - those women you give examples of are anomalies, anyone with half a brain can look at the statistics of violent crimes or sexual crimes committed and see that the overwhelming majority of those crimes are committed by men, over 90% I believe. Yes shit people are shit people, but out of all those shit people most of them are men by a staggering majority.

DancingLions · 10/07/2024 17:09

I'm in my 50s and what I find really depressing and upsetting about this, is that we have made zero progress on keeping women safe in my lifetime. None whatsoever.

Certain laws have been made in an attempt to do so. But what do they actually do in reality? I was a victim of DV 35 years ago. The same number of women were killed per week by a partner or ex partner at that time, as they are now. The statistics have not improved at all.

So many societal changes have occurred over my lifetime. And yet, still men rape and kill women every day. I don't give a shit about NAMALT. It's irrelevant. Three more women have died by the hands of a man, in horrific circumstances. But still, nothing will change.

MotherFeministWoman · 10/07/2024 14:19

Fucking hell, men are awful

They fucking are.

Cattyisbatty · 10/07/2024 17:11

Horrific.
They are putting it in context as it’s a bbc employee’s family. That’s how journalism works.
