she looks in proportion to her overall size. I was quite small at that far gone, but only in the tummy

that was me at 5mths too.....honest......such was my tummy muscles then with my first!!!!

of course, 2nd baby plus not quite so svelte, but I hid the first one well.

she was so very frail and tiny beforehand though, so that is probably HUGE for her.

She is very tall though. I went on maternity leave at 36 weeks and people didn't know I was pregnant. I was still in my skirts with the back undone (and jacket over the top). DD1 was 8lb 7 .
With DD2 however I was HUGE.

They also often get dates wrong in the press too...

However, I know lots of people who have looked like that at about 5 months. My friend is barely showing and she is 24 weeks and still in all of her normal clothes inc skinny jeans. She also spends 30mins on exercise bike every morning.

I didn't show till I was about 6 and ½ months PG. I'm 6ft and was a size 8-10.
Don't look like it now though. Harumph.

I once met someone who was 36 weeks pregnant and had a stomach as flat as a board!It was unbelievable, something to do with the way the baby was lying and the baby was 5 pounds something born so not huge but not teeny tiny either. She did say she felt cheated as no one could tell she was pregnant though.

I'm like that now and I'm on number 3 although I will be huge by the end it all goes on in the last 2 months with me.

i didn't really show at all until about 6 montsh. loads of people never knew i was pregnant at all, i just wore my skirt undone at the back. she does look healthy in that last pic, it's nice to see. i'm told she's a really nice woman.

Did any of you just have the little neat basketball bump? I certainly didnt. I swelled up all over and was absolutely massive - like a jacket potato on legs.

i was a bit square, not a basketball, more a plump wee cushion. i loved my bump, totally missed it when it went...

I was the same with my first baby too (although she is probably about 3 feet taller than I am). I was really ill for the first few months, constantly sick (to the point of hospitalisation) and lost loads of weight, so it took me a while to show.

I didn't really show more than that until 6 months either.

I think it is because she is lanky. I was very similar, didn't show til I was about 7 months, and my mum was the same. Is not because I was that skinny, but I am very tall (nigh on 6 foot) and have a very long torso.
