NAB3wishesfor2008 · 30/01/2008 18:51

Pneumonia

Can't spell it so didn't try before.

He'd been ill for a short time.

OP posts:
donnie · 30/01/2008 18:51

I did read that he was ill in a hospital near me ( north London).

Never particularly liked him but I hope he can rest in peace now. Commiserations to his family.

Rantmum · 30/01/2008 18:52

Apparently he was only 59. V sad

southeastastra · 30/01/2008 18:52

omg!

McDreamy · 30/01/2008 18:53

That's really bad, my dad has been in hospital with pneumonia recently. He looked awful and for a while I was really worried about him. Pneumonia is bloody awful, really sad. How old was he?

FoghornLeghorn · 30/01/2008 18:54

Blimey
I didn't know he was ill.
Very sad

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 30/01/2008 18:55

I cant believe it

VanillaPumpkin · 30/01/2008 18:56

Only 59 . Scary really.

Wisteria · 30/01/2008 18:56

Sorry, couldn't stand the man, he got right on my tits - didn't know he was ill though and am sorry for his family, 59 is young, same age as my Mum was.

belgo · 30/01/2008 18:58

gosh, that's young, and to die from pneumonia - it's easy to forget how serious pneumonia can be

He is now thanks NAB. Brought him over here to Cyprus last week for a bit of recuperation! Did him the power of good, but he did scare me for a while!

belgo · 30/01/2008 19:00

yes, califrau, it would presumably.

but pneumonia can be serious in healthy people as well.

noddyholder · 30/01/2008 19:01

So difficult to successfully treat people with lowered immunity.

Wisteria · 30/01/2008 19:01

presumably his system was immune compromised because of the leukaemia so more susceptible.
