Eh?

This puzzles me on many, many levels

My FIL uses a picture of her face on his dartboard.

southeatsastras · 13/09/2007 15:32

she 'saw the need for change' and bolloxed it up big time.

policywonk · 13/09/2007 15:34

Well, I think it is fair to say that she was a conviction politician. It's just fantastically irritating and depressing to see Labour prime ministers being so desperate to lick her shrivelled little arse.

EffiePerine · 13/09/2007 15:44

Can't decide whether it was an inspired typo or an attempt by GB to spout crap display an innovative command of the English Language a la TB

honest

SueBaroo · 13/09/2007 16:03

It just means she really believed in what she did, surely? Don't agree with it, but I've no reason to think she wasn't acting on strongly held conviction(don't see why else you would do a lot of what she did otherwise, tbh)

UnquietDad · 13/09/2007 16:09

Nothing wrong with it at all. Plenty of Tories with convictions. Jeffrey Archer, Jonathan Aitken, Neil Hamilton...

SueBaroo · 13/09/2007 16:11

arf

EffiePerine · 13/09/2007 16:21

suppose 'convicted politician' would have a different spin

so glad the noun + noun hasn't gone out with TB. Sure the verb free sentences will be back soon as well.

UQD - What was Hamilton convicted of?

DaDaDa · 13/09/2007 16:32

I was gonna do that one. Pipped at the post by UQD.

SueBaroo, it just rankles to see a Labour PM coming out with it as a measure of respect. I'm sure many of the worlds dictators (being restrained with my language here) 'really believed' in what they did. [flippant emoticon]

NadineBaggott · 13/09/2007 16:32

Funny that, how both TB AND GB are seen fit to affiliate themselves with Maggie, however tenuously.

NadineBaggott · 13/09/2007 16:32

have not are (obviously)
