My heart goes out to his wife, family, colleagues and friends today. I just find the details reported in the media today absolutely horrifying. Part of me thinks there is no need to report such terrible details and part of me thinks the world needs to know what these animals did so there is no shred of doubt what monsters they are. His poor loved ones having to know this Sad

It’s absolutely horrendous. My heart aches for the poor man and his family.

Redglitter · 10/03/2020 19:41

I felt ill reading the description of what that man went through in the last minutes of his life. I don't know how his poor wife could cope with hearing it. It was far more horrific than had understandably been reported at the time.

I hope the bastard who was driving gets locked away for the rest of his life

Witchofzog · 10/03/2020 20:55

Me too. Until today I had no idea how awful it was. I hope it was quick for him. His poor family Sad

Its horrific. They knew what they were doing and what was happening. Must have known how it was going to end..
I hope they get the right and longest sentence they can get!

Redglitter · 10/03/2020 22:05

My heart goes out to the cops he was working with and witnessed it & were with him as he died.

How on earth you move on from something so horrific is unimaginable. I hope they're getting & taking the help & support they'll need

Fenellapitstop · 24/06/2020 12:12

Just a reminder, this case is now back in court

The80sweregreat · 24/06/2020 20:57

The men that did this are shown laughing and joking in photos online ( daily mail )
I am in despair that a human being could do this to anyone and how much hurt his family and young wife must be going through.
He looked such a lovely person and dedicated to his job.
I'm a bit depressed about it all really as to be killed in such a manner is beyond my compression. It makes me wonder how the murderers can live with themselves.
Awful times for his family. So sad.

Nackajory · 24/06/2020 20:59

Truly shocking.

meow1989 · 24/06/2020 21:03

Gosh I hadn't heard of it so googled. Awful. Theres no other word really is there? That poor man and his poor family.

Fenellapitstop · 24/07/2020 12:11

All three have just been found guilty of manslaughter

GetOffYourHighHorse · 24/07/2020 14:05

This is just awful, it should've been murder. I do not believe they didn't know exactly what they were doing. To drive a mile dragging someone behind them?? it would have been very obvious.

Fenellapitstop · 24/07/2020 14:12

They managed to prove that side but not the intention to kill

GetOffYourHighHorse · 24/07/2020 15:08

God, it's sickening Sky new have just shown his last moments as he approaches the vehicle. Why do that? Have they no respect for his family's feelings. They can report on the verdict without showing such emotive and harrowing footage.

Butchyrestingface · 24/07/2020 15:17

All three have just been found guilty of manslaughter

And they looked absolutely consumed with remorse too, the wee lambs.

AllieCat26 · 24/07/2020 15:35

I really hope that they get very long sentences, it’s an absolute disgrace that such a beautiful young man who had everything to look forward to in his life was killed in such a brutal way. I’m so sorry that his beautiful new young wife (as well as family and friends) have now got to live with not only with his mindless death, but also the horrific details of the way in which he was killed.

I truly hope that these disgusting individuals get locked up forever. They have absolutely no respect for his life, and so they should be incarcerated and live their lives behind bars. I’m so fed up of innocent people getting hurt and killed, as a result of the cowardice and awful attitudes of people who think they are above the law.

I fully believe that if you are so cruel and hateful as to take someone’s life in such a cruel and thoughtless way, then you should not be able to live your life in our society. Why should they get a future chance at life, when they robbed him of his?

Fenellapitstop · 24/07/2020 15:38

It has since been released but was deemed inadmissible, Henry long told a pc so that he would ram a police car, he's said in the past that he would kill officers. There is no remorse

GetOffYourHighHorse · 24/07/2020 15:39

'They managed to prove that side but not the intention to kill'

It is just unbelievable though isn't it? How can a jury find that. I wonder if juries should take a basic intelligence or comprehension test before they are allowed to serve. Manslaughter would surely be if he'd been knocked over as they escaped, not a mile long drag along the road. It obviously would kill him.

YoullFloat · 24/07/2020 15:40

I'd love to get my hands on those little shits. Absolute bastards. I hope they get the max time possible.

Nicknacky · 24/07/2020 16:01

I’ve just watched his wife read out her statement outside the court. Her disgust at the verdict is apparent and heartbreaking. Poor, poor family.

What a horrific death he had to endure 😢

roses2 · 24/07/2020 17:05

His poor wife having to live with this forever with knowing what happened to him in his last moments :(

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 24/07/2020 17:20

I watched the BBC report earlier and found it so very upsetting. What a horrendous thing to happen to anyone, and as PP said, how terrible for his colleagues.

It makes me utterly sick that there are people like the perpetrators in this country.

Redglitter · 24/07/2020 17:32

Just seen a video on a news site of his neighbours body cam recording as he drives to look for Andrew. Its both heart breaking and harrowing.

Justice certainly wasn't served today
PC Harper and his family deserved better

Palladin · 24/07/2020 19:29

I can't believe the verdict. It's disgusting and confirms my doubts about the jury system.

lynsey91 · 24/07/2020 19:40

I feel really angry and sick at the verdict. I just can't understand how the jury came to the conclusion of manslaughter although I appreciate I didn't hear all the evidence.

Also to read they laughed and shrugged at the verdict. I really hope they get long sentences although I somehow doubt they will. Anyone know what the maximum sentence is for manslaughter? Is it likely to be longer as he was a policeman?

What utter scrum and their families all hugging each other and laughing are also total scum.

lazylockdowner · 24/07/2020 19:51

I live just down the road from where this happened and also know the 3 men in court I'm absolutely disgusted with the outcome. I can't help but wonder if the jury have been intimidated by the families
